- 1. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
- 2. Research To research for music videos in my genre, I got most of my help from the internet and websites such as YouTube. I did this on my laptops, school macs and computers and my phone. Google was useful as I used it to find information and photos on my artist and the genre, (Scissor Sisters/horror) the images helped with making and producing the DigiPack.
- 3. Blogging We used Wordpress a lot in our project to write about our work. It was easy to use and keep track of. Nearly every step was documented from the beginning of the course, to the video production and to the other evaluation questions. It also lets us embed work that included images and videos.
- 4. Research and planning My first survey was done on paper and sent to people, I took the results and used the pie-chart setting in Microsoft Presentation. For my focus group I made a survey on survey monkey and sent it to a small set of people to watch my music video and look at my Digipack and advertisement/poster and to get audience feedback.
- 5. The technology Laptop-Used to edit videos, including music video, and to upload them to Youtube and Wordpress. Phone-Used to research for the course and to record missing scenes, also to take pictures of behind the scenes features while on set.
- 6. Construction In the construction portion of the course, me and my partner had used my cam corder camera, placed onto a tripod and was removed at certain points for ease of filming. A second camera was placed on a separate tripod to record behind the scenes and a time-lapse. For the editing process, on my laptop I had used the editing software Hitfilm Express which is a very simple editing software.
- 7. Editing the Digipack I had used the software Photoshop to test my photo editing skills with different techniques, but in my final product I had used the more easier photo editing software Pixlr, because it was an online software that I could use at home and not just on the Macs at school.
