2. I feel as if I have progressed a long way when I look back on my preliminary task. I
have been able to work independently throughout my time of creating my final
product. I have been able to improve important life skills like organisation and time
keeping which will be necessary for my future plans, in the same way I have been able
to create efficient research and planning which helped me towards the practical part
of creating my music magazine. In order to add my research I was able to find an
example copy of a Kerrang! Magazine which I was able to annotate the cover,
contents and double page spread pages. This helped me to find the similarities
between magazines, and reinforce the necessary codes and conventions I needed to
use in my music magazine. I really enjoyed the Photo-shoot day as this allowed me to
learn new skills of how to use a SLR camera and I was also able to learn how to take
specific types of shots such as long shots, close ups e.c.t. I was able to positively
criticize myself when I know I could do better which helped me improve further as I
spotted my weaknesses. For instance, I have recorded on my blog where I believe I
could have improved and how I could have made alternatives for these weaknesses.
By spotting my weaknesses I have spotted what improvements I can make in order to
make sure my media product is successful.
7. Looking back at your preliminary task,
what do you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full product?
