2. LOOKING BACK AT YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK, WHAT DO YOU
FEEL YOU HAVE LEARNT IN THE PROGRESSION FROM IT TO
THE FULL PRODUCT?
Cover photo
The first magazine I created was a
school magazine and my model
was Anesu. I was new to InDesign
so my magazine lacks detail. I
learnt how to stick to a house style
and a theme of colours. My music
magazine has more structure and
is more appealing as my model is
smiling. Also, the cover looks much
more like a conventional music
magazine.

Contents Page
As you can see from my contents
pages, I have consistently used the
same layouts and house style.
However, my images are now more
relevant for a music magazine, this
shows that the magazine is packed
with content which the readers
would relate to. I enjoyed creating
the contents page as I enjoyed
creating stories about the artists.

Double Page spread
We didn’t create a double page
spread for our school magazine so
this task was primarily new to me,
but because I was comfortable
with InDesign, I didn’t struggle
with this task. Also, this part was
easiest as it mainly made up of
text.
I enjoyed creating the dps as I had
to create my own stories and edit
my image to fit the story.
