If doing the project again, the group would improve planning, filming, and editing. For planning, they would create a detailed plan so everyone knows their roles. For filming, they would schedule actors and shots to avoid forgetting anything. For editing, they would allocate more time and ensure continuity. The project taught skills in editing software, camera work, and different shot types. Key advice is to plan thoroughly, know filming responsibilities, and leave enough time for editing and sound. While editing software had online tutorials, it could lag with many clips, impacting precision. The group could have scheduled more time for sound recording and used a storyboard to structure filming and avoid wasting daylight.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
1. {
What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of this
product.
2. What would you do differently with the benefit of
hindsight?
Planning:
if I was to do this project again I would make sure that the planning was
really well set out so everyone would know what they are doing. I feel
that if we was to do this the hole project would run smoothly and we
would get everything done in time instead or rushing a bit when it came
to the end of each week.
Filming:
Again if I was to do this again the planning for filming would be done
much better so we knew exactly what to do each day so there would be
a less chance of us forgetting to film something. Also I would make sure
our actors know when they are filming and pick reliable actors.
Editing:
if I was to do this again I would have set days to edit therefore we would
have more time and be able to put more effort into editing to make sure
everything flows well and that the continuity is good. This would also
enable us to pick up on things that need to be re filmed.
3. What do you know that you didn't’t before?
Before doing this project I was not very familiar with the programs we used to
edit the sequence however now I feel like I am very confident with this program
after using it a lot with editing. I also feel that I now know how to use After
Effects well enough to add effects to my sequence that would need to be there to
show the purpose of that shot. I am also now very confident with setting up a
tripod and camera to film from I feel as if I have become well educated with the
camera and different shots and frames to use to make the sequence more
interesting.
4. What Is the advice you would pass on to someone
else doing the project?
Make sure the planning of what you are doing is very detailed and everyone
knows what they are doing before starting to work on your project.
Before filming make sure your hole group knows what they are due to film that
day and make sure you have everything before leaving and going to location to
film.
Make sure you leave enough time for editing and adding sound as the sound
takes quite a while to produce and add on to the clip.
5. What are the advantages and disadvantages of
the technologies used?
An advantage of using prem pro would be that after practicing and
Playing around with the program it is easy to get to grips with and is not hard to
work with. the programs we used had many tutorials on line of how to use this
became really helpful as not all of us new how to work the programs so we always
had a way to figure out how to do what we wanted to.
A disadvantage would be that once you have added lots of clips on to the program
sometimes the whole programs starts to lag. This sometime made it hard for us to
edit as it took so long to load one thing what we didn't’t have much time to edit.
Also this made it hard to get our cut precise so sometimes did not flow well.
6. What our group could have done but didn’t
Our group could have planned out the amount of time we was going to
spend on adding sound on to our opening sequence as we was going to have
a sound over however did not leave ourselves enough time to film and add
in this therefore we had to make do with adding music into the background.
When editing we found that some of our shots where darker than others
because it took us so long to film, we could have prevented this from
happening by having a we planned out story board and having certain
things to so each day of filming instead of trying to think of what we needed
to film and wasting daylight filming time.
