I have learned several new technologies through creating this product. I used Adobe Photoshop CS4 and inDesign CS4 to design pages, learning their interfaces and professional uses. I utilized Blogger to display my work and research. I also learned basic skills using Final Cut Pro and Sony Vegas Pro 9 for video editing. Working on iMacs at college exposed me to their operating system and software. In total, I gained experience with various programs and websites throughout the production process.

1. Evaluation Question 6 What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

2. Photoshop CS4 The main piece of software I used was Adobe Photoshop CS4, I used this in most of my production stages, especially in my front cover and contents production, I learnt how to expand my skills using Photoshop and learnt how to out my skills to professional practice by creating my product.

3. inDesign CS4 I also used inDesign which was a new piece of software to me, I used this software mostly with my double paged spread, I learnt the basic functionalities of its interface and the basic uses for it.

4. Blogger I used blogger a lot, mostly to display my work and my research. This website was easy to use and fairly simple.

5. Final Cut Pro I used final cut to edit together videos such as my audience review. I found this software tricky to use as I was already used to other video editing software, however I feel I have learnt the basic skills and the basic controls to use the program effectively

6. Sony Vegas Pro 9 I used Sony Vegas pro 9 as an alternative video editing software which was available to use on my home pc. I used this software to do questions such as question number 1 and 2.

7. iMac I used the iMac’s at college to do most of my work, all of the magazine editing was done using software that was provided on the iMac, I have gained then knowledge to work the iMac’s and know how to function them well. However I also used my home PC (Windows) to complete some of my product.
