3. Camera
The camera I used to film is the
Canon XF300, a high production
quality and industry standard piece
of equipment which I borrowed from
the school.
It has many helpful features that
make it adaptable to different
lighting settings. The interior and
exterior setting allowed me to
adaptively film in the park (exterior)
or inside the drama studio (interior).
Other notable features include
zooming rockers and a more
manual ring zoom and focus control
for more accuracy.

4. Video Editing Software
I used Sony Vegas Pro to render and edit my videos. A useful feature about
this software is its capability of natively editing .MXF files which is a widely
unsupported video format (and is the file type the Canon XF300 saves its
videos in). It has a customisable workspace and an easy to work with
timeline. The auto-ripple effect is one of its best features as it keeps the
timeline organised which is important when working with a lot of clips.

5. Photo Editing Software
• I used Photoshop to edit images
to create the digipak and poster
graphics
• In Photoshop I applied and
tweaked filters to achieve certain
effects
• I played around with colour
overlay, specifically the soft
lighting under the blending
options to strengthen the
intensity of the light elements
• It also let me install custom fonts
from the internet, adding more
personality to the graphic designs

11. Youtube
As well as being a primary search engine for
research, I also used this application as a means
for publishing, distributing and exhibiting my music
video. Because of the commenting feature it is
able to function similarly to survey monkey in that
feedback can be acquired from the viewers and
analysed. Youtube is an application that is visited
by billions of users each month; by uploading the
music video to this site it is more likely to gain
publicity.

12. Facebook and Survey Monkey
These two are very important applications which I needed
in order to complete the 3rd evaluation covering audience
feedback. First, the questionnaire is constructed in survey
monkey; it has a simple design and is easy to fill out
making it a better alternative to manually asking individuals
the same sets of questions; also, having all the feedback
sent to survey monkey in one place is convenient. The link
to this survey is then distributed through facebook, where I
have many friends who fall under my target demographic
age group. Like Youtube, Facebook is a highly populated
application which is used by people regularly. This allowed
for the surveys we distributed to be completed quickly.

13. Blogger
Blogger has been an extremely useful media
technology. Because it is a blogging site, I have
been influenced by the idea of using it like an
online diary, meaning I keep it updated with any
ideas relevant to the coursework. It is a place
where all my research, planning and final
products are documented. Since it is in one
location, and in the internet, I am able to access
to conveniently from home and school.
