2. Development Towards Final Video
Rough Cut vs. Final Music Video
The music video rough cut feedback was very influential in the construction
to the final music video, as you can evidently see down below. Feedback was
received through Survey Monkey and YouTube, seen in the next slides.
3. Rough Cut Video Feedback
Feedback meant that certain shots were either cropped or re-shot for the video to
maintain consistent aesthetics with mis-en-scene.
Additionally we added more smoother cuts to the video and added more clearer
content for the last scene in the music video to make the ending more clear. Re-
shooting was also done to correct shots that were inconsistent to the video whether
this being through lighting or shot quality/ stability.
Colour grading was also added to create the final video, bringing out a strong green,
red and white colour scheme. Effects were also utilized – mostly on the life sized chess
board scenes to create a more vivid darkness to surround the main character within. A
personal change added by us was to cut the audio song length as it was longer than
the actual video we had created.
4. Survey Monkey Feedback
Although comments where initially used as feedback we also later collected
information through Survey Monkey that helped us to know where we were going
right and what needed to be improved on:
7. Digi-pack Feedback
Feedback with the digi-pack showed the inconsistency in how it is linked
with the music video and website. Fonts (same as in digi-pack), colour
scheme (brighter colours – red, green and white) were changed to follow
the indie pop genre. The layout was changed so it looked more like a digi-
pack, (feedback was also received regarding the draft layout). A spine,
barcode and CD design insert were also added to help achieve a more
authentic looking dig-pack

8. Website Feedback
The website feedback received was very
informative and highlighted the inconsistent
theme of the website in relation to the
campaign as a whole, in combination with the
digi-pack and music video. The colour scheme,
layout, banner, background and font was
altered to link to the other ancillary products
and convey the indie pop genre. The decision
to use the same font as the digi-pack, and the
bright colour (white, brown, blue) and nature
theme (trees, flower) helped to do this.
