 Our opening sequence features 4 girls.
 In the sequence they will be acting as 12-
13 years old however they are 16-17 years
old.
 The white eyes and dark face shows that the
possession is more dominant than the girls.
 The pigtail plaits, which are worn by our
main character, exaggerates the age of the
girl therefore represents a young age group.

Above there are images of Hannah before we did her hair and make-up
and the change when her make-up was done. As you can see the changes
make her look younger in order for her to fit in with the social group.
Before
After
 The age of the girls is exaggerated by the
costume as the “gowns” are what a young
girl would wear to bed, in the period of time
our opening sequence is set in.
 This represents the type of social group
around in that period of time.
 We chose to use a girl as they’re
stereotypically seen to give in to pressure
more easily and that they’re venerable
hence why they’re possessed.
 All of the characters are wearing a white
“gown” which helps to represent the time
period for when our opening sequence is set.
 The colour signifies how young girls are seen
as innocent.
 As they’re all wearing the same costume it
brings them together as a social group.
 We have done all of the above conventions in
order to show that the possessions is more
dominant than the girls and it’s important in
the narrative then her subculture/age.
