The document discusses the hardware and software used to plan and construct pages for a product. Photoshop was used to construct the front cover, allowing editing of pictures and effects to make it professional. InDesign was used for the contents page and double page spread as it allowed easy insertion of text and columns to keep the layout organized. A digital camera was also used to take high-quality photos that could be easily edited. Photoshop provided experience with special effects like strokes and layers. InDesign facilitated pasting text and importing images.

Session #4: The Teaching Turn: From Static Collections to Dynamic Learning Centers
ORGANIZER: Heather Lowe, California State University, San Bernardino
(on behalf of the VRA Emerging Professionals and Students Group)
MODERATOR: Jasmine Burns, University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee
PRESENTERS:
• Stephen Cardinale, University of Colorado, Boulder
• Anna Bernhard, Colorado State University
• Molly Schoen, University of Michigan
• Chris Strasbaugh, Vanderbilt University
Much of the business of creating and disseminating images has moved away from individual academic departments and isolated image collections toward centralized cross-discipline departments. This has left many visual resource centers looking for new ways to engage users and support the educational goals of their institutions. One way centers are meeting these new challenges is by transforming from being a storage silo for physical slide collections to being a collaborative learning space where students and faculty alike can come to work on projects and refine imaging and videography skills. As many resource centers make this move toward more teaching and learning, the physical spaces and skill sets of employees have also shifted. This session will examine case studies of visual resource centers programming that is directed to teaching imaging skills and how this new role is shifting their profile within their institutions.
A proxy server is a server that acts as an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. A client connects to the proxy server, requesting some service, such as a file, connection, web page, or other resource available from a different server and the proxy server evaluates the request as a way to simplify and control its complexity.

Whether your company is B2B or B2C, when it comes to finding your brand voice, consistency is important. It’s just not the only thing that’s important. To connect with customers, your brand voice should be three things.
The 2009 edition of Education at a Glance: OECD Indicators enables countries to see themselves in the light of other countries’ performance. It provides a rich, comparable and up-to-date array of indicators on the performance of education systems and represents the consensus of professional thinking on how to measure the current state of education internationally.
The indicators look at who participates in education, what is spent on it, how education systems operate and the results achieved. The latter includes indicators on a wide range of outcomes, from comparisons of students’ performance in key subject areas to the impact of education on earnings and on adults’ chances of employment. thGAP - BAbyss in Moderno!! Transgenic Human Germline Alternatives ProjectMarc Dusseiller Dusjagr
thGAP - Transgenic Human Germline Alternatives Project, presents an evening of input lectures, discussions and a performative workshop on artistic interventions for future scenarios of human genetic and inheritable modifications.
To begin our lecturers, Marc Dusseiller aka "dusjagr" and Rodrigo Martin Iglesias, will give an overview of their transdisciplinary practices, including the history of hackteria, a global network for sharing knowledge to involve artists in hands-on and Do-It-With-Others (DIWO) working with the lifesciences, and reflections on future scenarios from the 8-bit computer games of the 80ies to current real-world endeavous of genetically modifiying the human species.

1. Evaluation
Question 6
What have you learnt about technologies from
the process of constructing this product?
2. What hardware and software have you used to plan your
pages? How effective was it?
To plan my pages, I drafted them by hand, the effect of this was to design my ideas the way I wanted instead of
using a software to do so. Creating the pages on the programs Photoshop and InDesign I was able to edit my
designs and ideas to make it look more professional.
3. What hardware and software have you used to construct your
pages? How effective was it?
I used Photoshop to construct my front cover as it was the appropriate software to use. This was very effected
as it helped to edit my pictures and make them more professional. It was useful as I was able to use a variety of
effects to make my front cover look appropriate for my target audience.
To construct my contents page and double page spread, I used InDesign . This was because it was an easier
software to use as I had to insert a lot of text. This software also allowed me to set up columns on my contents
page therefore I was able to keep the layout of my page organized and professional which it would appeal to
my target audience.
Furthermore another key piece of hardware that I used was a digital camera on which I took all the photos, I
believe this was maximized very well as it gave me the chance to take professional looking photo of a high
standard. Due to this my images were easily edited if needed and were already auto focused which prevented
any blur.
4. Photoshop
The use of Photoshop was a suitable
software to use for my front cover as I
was able to edit and make effects on my
front cover to make it look more
professional.
In addition to this I also learnt many tricks
and special effects within Photoshop such
as stroke editing and puff designs.
Furthermore I also had to learn how to
use different layers and the benefits of
these layers.
5. InDesign
For my contents page and
double page spread I used
InDesign as I was able to paste
text into it for my article and
import images.
