Gaetan Lundula produced a podcast about a trending Twitter beef between celebrities to engage his target audience of young grime fans. Some strengths included using background music to build atmosphere and sticking closely to the script to conduct the interview professionally. Areas for improvement included asking more questions to make the interview more engaging, creating a longer intro to set the scene, being more confident during recording, and using more editing effects to further engage listeners.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
2. Have you met the aims of the brief- in terms of
audience, topic, format set by Culture East?
I met my target by following the guidance of the brief and I have also used the time and space of
my pre-production to help me to write out my script. So Then I don’t go wrong when I record
with my special guest this is really important so I keep my professionalism through out my radio
show as I'm doing it by myself alongside my special guest.
I spend 2 days doing my podcast and repeated it 4 times to execute my stuttering ability I used
the editing software of logic pro to help cut and edit my sound after that I went on to render my
sound to make it professional I stuck to my script so did my interviewer as I gave them a brief
paper for them to read off.
My target was that I met the brief me analysing the 2 shows in full depth has helped me in my
podcast to improvise like them. The topic is about a trendy twitter beef that lots of young people
have been gossiping about and that’s why I have got a celebrity posty to speak on it with me this
will make my show will a have a good popularity feed and more young people will listen as it for
their future of music.
In my radio show I tend to use a backdrop sound of music I have done this because its based
around grime and my target audience are grime lovers and them tuning in my show they will find
out more.
3. The reason why I have chosen my final idea is because I'm a young teenager and I love the
media niches of grime and many people my age are affiliated with the sub genre of grime I
feel that media niches of Link Up Tv and Grm daily need to be more established on podcasts
as they have paved the way for many artists we listen to nowadays that’s why I have chosen it
because not many people talk about these niches and me talking about it will get me more
questions to answer and more of publicity.
The idea that I had kept were the use of interactivity which meant that I had kept the social
feed as they were a major impact to my subject and the point with the social media is where
my subject relates to as that’s where my story begins with the twitter beef I have used twitter
because it really trendy and my target audience are really aware of it and both niches have
got a good about of followers which means its due to be a hot topic in my interview when
they are giving sly shots on the interactive base of twitter.
I was going to make my intro like kiss FM as they have 3 hosts but due to time management
and space I didn’t have enough time to master this and I decided to keep it original and have
a one on one so there is so no disturbance of voices that could be possibly made and that’s
why the interview went well and I kept original and basic for the listeners.
To what extent does your news segment fit with your
original ideas for an audio piece?
4. • What are the strengths of your
audio (what worked well?)
my strengths were that I include a soundtrack behind my voice of me and interviewer this
simply built tension to my and a good atmosphere to my podcast.
in addition to this another thing that went well in my podcast was that I followed my pre
production elements and my script this meant that me and my Interviewer can understand
each other properly and professionally without reassuring each other when the script is
next to him to reassure him when he is stuck however it didn’t come to that as then as we
related it serval times this was done for us to get a fair outcome within what we were
saying for our target audience.
My voice wasn’t over peak level monitor which was good for my audience to hear nice and
clear in addition to this I didn’t have no mono tone vice that went high or low so I kept the
severity of my voice on a balanced level.
Furthermore one good thing that went well was that I had kept my question short and
simple and was straight to the point not to create any stupid speculation of many questions
which could offend my interviewer so yeah I kept it more direct.
My strengths were that I got everything correct from my pre-production and I have used
logic pro really well and correct, as I even rendered my sound and music so everyone can
hear it correctly
5. • What are the areas for
improvement (what could be better?).
• The areas of improvement were if I had included more question for my
interview because this would have made my interview about more spicy but I
decided to keep it short and simple and straight to the point as this twitter
beef has been going on for too long and I feel people needed to know what
was going on.
• In addition to this I could have made my I introduction sound ( music better) &
more longer this would have bought out the best in my interview as it would
have build a great atmosphere for my target audience who are young
teenagers as we know young people like music and like to know about what's
popping
• I feel recording would have been better if I was more confident when I was
recording because I took to much time when recording and I edited a bit of the
long saying on logic pro
• I would have added more effects for editing because I lost lots of time due to
the fact that of repeating my interview serval times just to get it right I feel if I
had added in affects on my interview it would have got the young audience to
interact more with me when listening.
