The student evaluated their project outcome for creating images for Lucozade labels. They felt that their images met the goals of capturing the target's eye and resonating with them. The student used Photoshop and Illustrator to digitally manipulate photos and design the labels. Some challenges included learning new software features and adapting ideas to be realistically created. Overall, the student believes their creative outcome was effective and suited the target audience.
Response sensitivity of the structure using vibration based damage detection ...eSAT Journals
Abstract
Many developments have been carried out in order to try to quantify the effects produced by damage and the vibration based methods
of damage diagnostics are proved to be promising. In the present study, a two storey one bay steel portal frame with cross bracing is
considered as an undamaged case. The damage is introduced to the frame by removing the bracing at various levels. The modal
parameters of the undamaged and damaged frames were extracted by using FEM software ANSYS 14.5 and validated through
experimental results performed using mini shake table. The Frequency response function (FRF) plot is drawn from the experimental
results. Further the damage is introduced to the frame by reducing the young’s modulus, reducing the cross sectional area and
increasing the temperature due to fire in bracing and at each floor is also studied by using ANSYS 14.5 by performing the modal
analysis. The results show that the natural frequencies for the damaged structure decreases and the amplitude increases.

Design & Analysis of High rise Building With & Without Floating Column Using ...IJSRD
At present buildings with floating column is a typical feature in the modern multistory construction in urban India. There are many projects in which floating columns are adopted, especially above the ground floor, where transfer girders are employed, so that more open space is available in the ground floor. As the load path in the floating columns is not continuous, they are more vulnerable to the seismic activity. Sometimes, to meet the requirements these type of aspects cannot be avoided though these are not found to be of safe. Hence, an attempt is taken to study the behavior of a G+15 multi storey building in which some storey’s are considered for commercial purpose and remaining storey’s are for residential purpose. This paper studies the comparison & seismic analysis of the multistory buildings with floating column and without floating column. Finally, analysis & results in the high rise building such as storey drifts, storey displacement, and Base shear were shown in this study. Design and Analysis was carried out by using Extended Three Dimensional Analysis of Building Systems (ETABS) Software.
1. Evaluation
Effectiveness
I feel that my outcome for the project did meet the various specified aims of the brief. This is because from the start I checked the
brief a lot to make sure that my work was correct and effective compared to the requests from the brief. Two things that the brief
specified for the outcome to include were for the image to capture the targets eye and resonate with them. I feel that my images
did this appropriately because I made my images with some humour and aimed them specifically towards the eye of the target age
range.
As far as software goes I used mainly the correct methods to create my images, first of all I took my own images using a camera then
I used Photoshop to digitally manipulate some of the necessary images. I then brought my images into illustrator to finish them off
and merge them with the Lucozade label template other than that I created images that I came up with and thought would fit the
brief.
I used a lot of software during this project and mixed effects and manipulated images with things I haven’t used much of before so
at first I had to practice with the features for a while until I was confident that I could use them correctly to create the plan I had in
my mind.
I think that during the project I demonstrated the ability to be able to perform image manipulation and idea creating tasks quite well
as it is something I have never done before and I produced images to a fairly professional quality.
During working on the project I did encounter several problems such as not knowing how to create certain effects on Photoshop
such as glow which I overcame by either practicing using everything or looking it up on the internet. Another problem I solved was;
after I had planned my ideas I noticed that some of them were going to be almost impossible to create so I had to change the ideas
slightly and explore new creating methods.
The main problem I have with my three outcomes is that, during the project I found some images easier to create and design so I
feel I put more effort some than others and I feel that this is noticeable in the final product. If I could improve it further I would
probably use some better effects that what I did use on some designs.
Sources of Information
This product contained a very large research element involving 3 different research tasks into the three organisations, Lucozade and
digitally manipulated photography. However all of this was extremely helpful when it came to the ideas tasks and creating my
images.
Once I had generated my ideas and started my project, I received feedback from my classmates and teacher as to what they thought
of my proposal, I took their opinions into consideration and continued my project with that in mind.
Production Process
Research
I feel that I did a suitable amount of research that proved to be very helpful to my project and certainly helped me not only
understand the project better but got my ideas flowing when I started planning.
My planning for this project was okay but my final ideas came to me quite quickly so I never actually got that much physical planning
and ideas generation evidence completed. The method of planning was quite good; it worked well to generate ideas and helped me
sort out good ideas from ideas that didn’t fit the brief so well.
I think that the preparation I did involving the practicing effects on Photoshop and Illustrator was very useful by helping my actual
production go quickly and easily without me making lots of mistakes and possibly ruining the final outcome by not understanding
the effects and how to make my ideas look how I want them instead of changing my idea every time I couldn’t complete the
manipulation.
The actual main production stage for me was simple, I already had my ideas roughly planned out but I basically just started creating
them and allowed the changes to affect my idea and I Just created them as I went along.
Time management has been in the past, and still is something that I struggle with but in some aspects of this project I feel that I
managed my time correctly. I spent more time planning and researching after realising that the production would take me less time,
however I still allowed some time in case something went wrong. Although I did still end up in a rush to complete some tasks that I
had missed out and encountered problems with.
I think that I learnt a lot about using photo manipulation software but in order to complete this project I felt that I was quite
effective at using the various software on my own.
My final outcome is, I believe, effective and I think the designs are quite creative, some more than others but together I feel pleased
with my outcome and think it does show creative ability and flare.
Finished Product
Overall I think that compared to my initial ideas for the project my outcome is just as good, if not better, simpler and more
appropriate for a Lucozade label.
The idea is very well suited to the intended audience because it hits them in a serious way but catches the eye by bringing a bit of
humour that is aimed specifically at that age range.
I think that the way it looks and the techniques I used to make it look that way work very well and I am happy I could use
complicated effects to create professional looking images of a high standard that all match to a similar style.
My Images are now completed and ready for print as I believe the 3 images are similar, effective styles that fit the brief.
