1. Evaluation for task 11
Question 4
Who would be the audience for
your media product?
2. My audience are mainly men/boys who believe in that life that all
these rap artists like Lil Wayne experienced, they rebel against
school and talk about violence and sexual intercourse with the
opposite sex. They idolise models like Drake because they want to
be like them and have their sense of style so they listen to his songs
and imitate his style in order to be exactly like him.
3. The audience for my media product are 18-40 year old. People who
enjoy listening to Hip Hop and RnB songs are aimed at as my
magazine consists fully on artists like Keri Hilson, Lil Wayne and
Drake and these artists are idolised by some of my target audience
and relatable to the others. My target audience are mostly working
class people who believe in living life to the fullest, easily passive of
media and enjoy rap stars and listening to music about love, life and
having fun whereas a class like the middle class would prefer
listening to classical music.
4. A typical reader would be a boy at the age of 18 reading Rhythmix
magazine. He would typically be wearing a track suit bottom and top with
Nike trainers and a cap and would have a few neck jewellery on. His
beliefs would be that friends matter the most and they are his family, he
would spend majority of his time outside hanging around in the streets with
his friends. This boy may still be in education but probably doesn’t have
much interest in it. He would listen to these types of music and read my
magazine because he feels as if he can relate to some of the artist I have
presented therefore would want to listen to Tinie Tempah and read
information about Tinie Tempah because it’s an interest. Also because he
feels as if he listens to these songs and reads a certain magazine he will be
accepted and apart of a group in society and have peers to socialise with as
they have things in common. Furthermore this boy will want to read about
these types of people and listen to the music because it sounds good to
him.
