The combination of the main product and ancillary texts is effective for several reasons. The genre of gothic rock is used throughout, employing recognizable conventions and themes. Consistent fonts, colors, and complimentary images are also used to create coherence and fluency across the music video, digipak, and advert. Exploring the genre's conventions results in a synergy that makes the overall product recognizable and effective.

2. One of the reasonsthe combination of my main product and ancillary texts is effective is because of the themes that run throughout them and also the genre of my music video. The genre of my music is gothic rock and that in it self has conventions and themes that the audience will recognise. I therefore have explored and investigated these conventions and have used them in my music video and also my digipak and advert which creates a synergy.

3. The use of text is also another coherent aspect of my product, as I’ve used the same font and consistent colours so that its fluent and the product is recognisable. I’ve also used images that compliment each other and work as a whole in my digipak and also my advert. The images used in them are very similar to the shots used in the music video and the colouring and contrast is very similar which creates an effective combination.
