such as Adulthood and “Kidulthood”.
Independent film makers also gain support
from Lottery funding and also written off
tax, which lead to heated debates within the
public.
3. Development Fund – Aims to raise the quality
of screenplays produced
Premier Fund – Supports Bigger Budget Films
and established talents e.g. St Trinians, the
Constant Gardner
New Cinema Fund – Short films to encourage
diversity in the industry e.g. this is England,
Brick Lane.
Prints and Advertising Fund – widen support
of the distribution and marketing strategy of
specialised films.
4. UK Film Council can distribute films through
cinemas and also TV programmes such as
Film4 or even Channel 4
5. Unstoppable Entertainment is a film and tv
production company founded in 2007 by BAFTA
winning actor, writer and director Noel Clarke.
In April 2010 Unstoppable Entertainment struck a
first look deal with UK sales and distribution
company Icon. Icon have the option to finance,
sell and distribute all projects produced by
Unstoppable. Roslyn Hill joined the Unstoppable
team to work in the development and production
of all future projects including Fast Girls, Reign
of Death and The Knot, to name a few.
Unstoppable goal is to continue to produce UK
focused, entertaining and commercial movies
with International appeal.
