Vertigo Films is a British film production and distribution company founded in 2002 by producer Allan Niblo and James Richardson. Their goal was to produce and distribute 4 films per year to generate revenue. Some of their most successful early films were "The Football Factory" and "It's Gone Pete Tong", which helped establish the company. In 2010, they released their first 3D film "Street Dance 3D", which became the number one film in the UK for a week and earned £2.7 million. Vertigo targets a wide audience with their films, focusing on genres like crime films early on with low budgets of £500,000. They seek to appeal to specific audiences like football fans and younger dance enthusiasts. Through successful

The main aim of Vertigo Film productions is
that their initial objective is to distribute
and produce at least up to four films per
year for them to get a high income within
money, revenues, distribution, marketing
and audience consumption money.
3. Disography and success
The main two successes of films that brought
them such profit and great reckoning were
'The Football Factor' & 'It's Gone Pete Tong'.
These two films were so great and achieved
with good review's that they knew they had a
bright future ahead of them. This is because
when Vertigo first started as a films production
company, they wanted to showcase the British
audience to see the ingredients: realism and
natural, typical British humor. Every movie
focused on the main characters realism, as the
directors and producers tried to show the
character is not some sort of protagonist, but
want to have a dramatic story-line into it for
them to create something more enticing.
In 2010 Vertigo Films Production released
their first ever 3D film which is called
'Street Dance 3D'. It was number one in the
the UK only for a week and made up to
£2.7mil which was an astonishing estimate
for them to achieve.
With the help of the BBC distribution and
E1 entertainment helping Vertigo promote
this film and made it a worldwide, global
film with amazing visuals and story-line.
4. Target Audience
Vertigo target many audiences from different
ranges; depending on the criteria of what film
they produce and what they aim to succeed
from the films. The first majority of films that
were first produced by Vertigo were genres of
Mystery/Horror/Crimes films which was their
main focus to bring out. They only used a
sufficient budget of £500,000 to make the
films itself at first. Films like 'Football Factory'
was a typically British-Drama film, dramatizing
the life of Die Hard Football Hooligans;
showcasing the bad side of how football can
lead to events that can cause deaths and
mercy within football fans. This for me was a
strong selling point for a range of audiences
who are into the sports of football and love
football itself can understand a serious factor
of the cruelty of sports.
A unique film that for me captured many
audiences and brought such a 'wow factor' to
them was 'Street Dance'. This films original aim
targeted the younger audience who were
mainly into the aspects of loving dancing. It also
has a unique selling point to the youngsters
who live in the urban outfits in the streets and
within the soundtracks that they use in the film
it influences the mind and characterizes the
style of the cast of the movie itself .
With a various cast of famous dance groups
such as 'Diversity' who out shined every
contender in British entertainment show -
'Britain's Got Talent' we can tell that Vertigo
brought them in to directly idolize the audience
and bring their attention to the plot of the film.
It is exceptionally important that they generate
a huge and well known cast for them to make
their films illustrated with a unique passion and
artistry for them to distribute the film to the
audiences.
5. Overall Summery
The company for me has technically developed into a world
class production company overall. They maybe don't have
the biggest financial power, but because they have
promoted and marketed some of their most successful films;
distributed by Universal they have empowered their global
bi factor of excellence by showing films such as 'Street
Dance, Top Cat, Horrid Henry the Movie' through cinemas to
watch; bringing profit to the company. It has to be radio,
television, internet, posters, anything that audience can see
it in public. Like it was mentioned in the first video of this
article, advertising on British television is really expensive
because due to either the cost of license fees of the BBC
owns or the payment they need to distribute for channels
such as Film4. It maybe a problematic thing for them to
think about within the use of advertising their film's, but the
uses of posters, short trailers on Youtube and many more
way's of promoting gives them the financial capability of
promoting and marketing their film's in the easy way, rather
than wasting too much money on TV and everything in the
hard way.
