The student created a mobile app about a film star, musician, or athlete. They did all the research, planning, and design independently. This allowed them to improve different skills. Their research and planning was thorough, which helped when creating the app. While initially finding AppFurnace confusing, using its guidance helped the student learn its features. Going forward, the student would match planned features to AppFurnace's capabilities during the planning stage.

1. Evaluation
This project involved me to create a mobile app based on either a film star, music
artist, sporting person and so on. I was working on my own for this project so I had
to do all the research, planning and designing. This allowed to me to explore further
into different skills in all categories.
This project was quite similar to the work I have done previously in terms of blogging
about the research and planning of a product. I made sure I blogged all the research I
have done and how I progress in the creation of the app.
One skill that came in handy was organisation. Organisation was a key skill in
AppFurnace as pages, files and functions had to be named properly.
My previous skills on blogging were also useful as I knew how to blog and embed
files such as a Prezi Presentation or a SlideShare Document.
My method of keeping my blog up to date during the creation of the app, I made
sure I took sufficient print screens of the work I had completed in the day or once I
had finished a section of the app.
In this project, my research and planning was well done and so I didn’t have any
issues in creating the app. This allowed me to create the app without having to go
back to find any content. It also helped that the person I had chosen to base my fan
app on was someone I was familiar with and knew a lot about.
I found AppFurnace a bit confusing at first and didn’t understand wha t each widget
was and how to code. Using the AppFurnace guidance enabled me to go ahead and
find out more features that AppFurnace offered.
If I had a chance to improve my app, I would add more videos, images and questions
for trivia quiz. I would also try and embed the latest news page in the app so it
doesn’t open up in a separate webpage.
If I was to do this project again, I would firstly look at the software I will be using to
create the app on and see what it offers so I know what to include in the planning
because I had planned out some features that I didn’t know how to do when it came
to creating it on AppFurnace. And I didn’t add some features in the planning as I
didn’t know I could do that for example I had added a shuffle and loop button in my
planning for the songs page however I did not know how to make those buttons
work when it came to designing it on AppFurnace.
