The document discusses the various media technologies used at different stages of creating a trailer, magazine, and poster project. A blog, YouTube, Prezi, and Slideshare were used for initial research. Footage was captured with a video camera and editing software was used to create the trailer and animatic. Free music sites were used for the trailer soundtrack. A digital camera captured images for the magazine cover and poster which were edited in Photoshop and InDesign. A presentation was created in PowerPoint to gather feedback, and the focus group was filmed and edited for evaluation.

2. Research and Planning
We set up a blog using the site ‘blogger’ at the
beginning of the process in order to keep track of
our work.
We used websites such as YouTube during our research
of existing trailers. This allowed us to gather codes and
conventions of psychological thrillers, for example
‘Shutter Island’ and ‘Memento. This was essential in
order to see how they were constructed and to see
what was effective when producing our own trailers.
Websites such as Prezi and Slideshare were
used in connection with my blog when
analysing existing products, along with
showing my progress of my magazine and
poster.

3. Constructing the Trailer
A Fujifilm finepix s2000 video camera was used to capture the footage for the trailer.
Adobe Premier Elements is the editing software we used to create our trailer. We
uploaded the footage where we then added intertitles, transitions and sound. This was
also used when creating the animatic, therefore I was familiar with this software when
it came to producing the trailer.
We also browsed a number of free music download websites in order to find music for
our trailer, in particular, Freeplay Music.

4. Constructing the Ancillary Texts
I used a digital camera in order to take the main images for
both my magazine cover and poster. These were uploaded
onto the appropriate software using Adobe Bridge.
The camera was also used to produce
the animatic.
Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop were the
software used in creating both ancillary texts. I
used layers to create the structure , apply text
and image and other conventional components.

5. Gathering Audience Feedback
In order to present our products during the focus group, we did so in the form of a
PowerPoint Presentation using the interactive white board and projector.
The video camera was used to film the focus group where we uploaded
this onto the editing software. Here we edited the video to use as part
of our evaluation.
Evaluation
In the evaluation of my products, I will use a combination of
Prezi, Slideshare, PowerPoint, and Adobe Premier to present this.
