EVALUATING A FREE TEFL. WEB RESOURCE
The web “Esol Courses: Free English Lesson OnLine” has a variety of different
sources to implement in our English classes. There are three reason why this
web page can be useful for teachers. First, it’s an easy web to browse around.
Secondly, it’s an excellent tool to present most grammar topics and vocabulary
in context. Finally, it encourage self learning through all the different skills.
There, we strongly recommend the web page.
First of all, this website has many interactive exercises, worksheets, interactive
quizzes and games, in order to use in the class. In addition, we can browse by
topic, by type (listening, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing), and by level in
order to search tools for our classes. But the activities are not interconnected,
they are like a collage, and we need to present the English topic with
coherence.
The page is easy to access and it is always available when you are looking for a
topic to prepare a lesson for your students. The entity responsible for the page
is well-known inside English teachers´ field.
Another fact we must take into account is the reliability of the materials . As we
said before this is a well-known entity among English teachers, it is
also serious and expert in the teaching and learning of English. As a result,
you can access to the material and use it with full confidence. This kind of
material can be very helpful for our classes, taking into account the context in
which our students are learning. Sometimes we have to adapt this material to
our target vocabulary, levels and grades of the students. It means the material
we take to our classes must be meaningful for students.
And although, the use of this kind of pages can help students to learn in a more
effective, fast and easy way, this activities should be included in meaningful
tasks in order to develop the communicative competence to our students.
Finally, the easy way to use the material makes it accessible for both, teachers
and students, so it is an excellent way to learn and improve our skills when we
want to learn the language.

There are three reason why this web page can be useful for teachers. First, it’s an easy web to browse around. Secondly, it’s an excellent tool to present most grammar topics and vocabulary in context. Finally, it encourage self learning through all the different skills. There, we strongly recommend the web page. First of all, this website has many interactive exercises, worksheets, interactive quizzes and games, in order to use in the class. In addition, we can browse by
  • 2. topic, by type (listening, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing), and by level in order to search tools for our classes. But the activities are not interconnected, they are like a collage, and we need to present the English topic with coherence. The page is easy to access and it is always available when you are looking for a topic to prepare a lesson for your students. The entity responsible for the page is well-known inside English teachers´ field. Another fact we must take into account is the reliability of the materials . As we said before this is a well-known entity among English teachers, it is also serious and expert in the teaching and learning of English. As a result, you can access to the material and use it with full confidence. This kind of material can be very helpful for our classes, taking into account the context in which our students are learning.
