Evaluation
Overall I think my preliminary task went well and I created a college magazine that met the
target audience that was meant to be met and gave them what they said they were looking
for in a college magazine.

I based the magazine on the results I got from my survey where I asked a series of questions
and got answers from people within the ages of 16-19. By doing this it allowed to create a
magazine made solely for them. I think that this task went well and worked as a foundation
for creating my music magazine. I managed to create what I think was a normal and good
magazine for college students; I tried to reach the target audience of young students and
including topics that they would be interested in. I learnt how to do things to appeal to the
audience which is the most important thing in magazines as if the audience isn’t reached
then the magazine won’t sell. I think the task gave me an idea of what to include in
magazines and how to lay them out to work as well as they can. It helps to do a preliminary
task to get the feel of making a magazine. If I was to do this task again I would probably
make the front cover better and have a better colour scheme. Overall I think that this task
went well and provided me with a good base to be able to start the next part of the
coursework.
