- 2. IN WHAT WAY DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS? I think that my magazine cover has the convections of a real school magazine, for example, the masthead on my magazine cover is in the same position as a real and professional magazine cover, it is in the centre of the page where it will get the audiences attention. My magazine cover also has the professional features that the real school magazine, like the tag lines, they tell you what is included in the magazine etc. My magazine also has a central image which will attract my target audience easily as it is the man feature of the magazine. It is he same for the professional real life magazine, it has a central image which will get the target audience very easily as it is the main convention and feature of the magazine cover. Also according to my research, a magazine also has a issue number which represents the amount of the magazines have been published so i used this on my magazine to give it more of a professional look . For my logo, it challenges it because from my research the logo is normally on the top left corner and i put mine on the bottom right. My contents page also link and has some sort of realistic affect as it speaks specifically to my target audience. It has the grade sign on it which tells us that the magazine gives us tips and advice for school.
- 3. HOW DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT REPRESENT PARTICULAR SOCIAL GROUPS? My media product represents my target audience because of the features that it has which would give us a clue and the most obvious reason is that the title tells us who is specifically aimed at In my research designed two magazine names which I would use in my magazine cover, as my magazine title was aimed at guys, I decided to choose “GUYS “R” US as it looks and sounds more masculine. During the process of making the magazine, he title didn't blend in with photograph properly so I had edit it a bit and give I a white outline so the blue wording stands out. Also I decided to make it blue because the stereotypical colour for guys is blue so I decided to put that as the main magazine colour. My media product also represents my social group because of one of the tag lines, yes it could be addressed to both genders but as we know sport is stereotypically a masculine pot and it’s a guy thing, the tag line says “tip from pe teachers on how to stay fit and benefits of sport”. This is my original idea for my magazine name title This was my second magazine name idea, I decided to abandon this name idea as it doesn’t really address my target audience. The tag line
- 4. WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT? For my media product, I am aiming it at teens specifically it is aimed at guys as it is for a boys school. But it is for teens aged between 11-18 as it is for high school and sixth form students. I decided to choose this because it was the first idea that came to my head to make a magazine cover for a boys school, although there aren’t many that I have found in my search an I also hose this because I though that there would be a lot to it and a lot of research also helped me deign the guy magazine a it has all the features that are include in a school magazine too. - 5. HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE? To get my target audience, I decided to create a survey to ask people who are my age to see what they would like to see on a magazine cover and what would get their eyes and attention, the questions included colour schemes and pictures etc. This helped me gain ideas for my overall media product. Also, my survey results showed that more males answered my survey even though my first idea for my magazine product was to aim it at me guys only. This broadened my idea on what to put on my magazine cover and how it could be made to make it look as masculine as possible. The survey was great help in every way as it was the foundation of creating my magazine cover and contents page. To help me create the survey, I used a website called survey monkey. I used this because it is simple and easy to use to create a survey from scratch

- 7. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT? I learnt that using technology while constructing this product has made it much easier for me. This is because technology gives me a wider range of extra facilities to use and experiment with when making this product.
