modernly sculpted artifacts can most likely be directly referenced to the movements
of prehistoric artworks. There seems to be an ongoing transition on how cultures no

Misogyny is not only visible in the Miller s tale, but also in the Wife of Bath s tale
through the very superficial standards set for women by men. The old woman asks
that the knight marries her in return for giving him the answer to the riddle and he
reacts in disgust and horror, ...to take me as your wife... Alas and woe is me!...I am
ugly and poor...my damnation! Alas, that any of my birth should ever be so foully
disgraced! (Chaucer, The Wife of Bath s Tale, 199 213). The knight is visibly
distraught, using words such as damnation and disgraced when the old woman
expresses her wish to marry him. He displays these emotions not because she
wants to get married, but because she is ugly and poor. He is worried because an
ugly wife will mar his reputation and is a poor reflection of him. This translates to
the misogynistic society during the time period where women were seen as property
to be shown off, rather than people who deserved respect. The recurring theme of
misogyny in these two tales shows that Chaucer does not feel sympathy for the
opposite gender, but instead belittles their plight.
In both tales, each woman is judged based on her attractiveness, they are both
surrendered to the unfair and superficial beauty standards of the age Chaucer lived

Ebonics, which stands for Ebony + Phonics is a new term that Linguistics use to
describe Black Dialect or Black English or many of the other names that it has been
given for more than 350 years. Ebonics is a language that is a combination of proper
English and a combination of African languages. This combination pattern was
formed on how certain words are pronounced such as, this and that, would be
pronounced dis and dat in Ebonics. In most Ebonics words with the Th. sound has an
D sound. These are just some of the many patterns that were created when Africans

masters kept tabs on how well their slave could talk. It was one of the ways that the

slaves that new good English to translate or explain what the other slaves were

The Education System Of The United States
Understanding the importance of education is like understanding life. They go
directly hand and hand, because learning is apart of the daily life of a child, and is
extremely essential in a child s development. Children are introduced to the education
system for the purpose to learn and thrive in todays society. The educationsystem is
used to set a model for children to become successful adults for American society to
prosper. Rarely, do we think about school conditions and the stress pushed upon
educators to make what it takes to have a thriving school year. In the United States,
the budget for education primarily comes from state and local taxes. Usually, the
budget from state and local are not enough, and year after year, many are getting cut.
Schools are desperately in major need for additional funding, and they gladly utilize
these federal funds as much as they can. Once federal funding is accepted to help
these schools, so come the high standards and expectations. The use of Federal
funding creates high stake environments, that effect students and teachers differently.
With these high expectations for standardizing testscores, teachers are promised large
bonus incentives in return. In 2009, schools were given the option to apply for
funding by The Race to the Top Fund, and these expectations cause teachers and
students to have high stress and anxiety in standardized school testing. The new
