Rf values were then used to determine the active chemical components in the two
analgesics. The overall result was that Acetaminophen exists in Tylenol and
Acetylsalicylic Acid exists in Anacin.

The main goal of this lab was to determine which of the acetaminophen and
acetylsalicylic acid exists in Anacin and which exists in Tylenol. In order to achieve
this goal, Thin Layer Chromatography, an approach that uses the difference in the
strength of intermolecular forces and polarity in molecules to separate mixtures, was
used In this investigation, a TLC plate and ethyl acetate (solvent) were used to
measure the Rf values of four different solutions of Tylenol, Anacin, Acetaminophen,
and Acetylsalicylic acid. The value of Rf depends on the strength of the
intermolecular forces that exists in molecules. The stronger the intermolecular forces
are, the harder the solvent moves the molecule up, resulting a small Rf value. In

They might be frustrated or let down by their own efforts of understanding. But does

Himself to us) ? Is there any compatibility between exercising Christian faith and
exercising reason? Does reason have a role or should it have a role in the Christian
s acts of faith? This has been a topic of discussion throughout history by many great
thinkers. I am going to attempt to show that reason has an active role in exercising
the Christian faith; at least attempt to show that reason and faith aren t mutually
exclusive. I will briefly discuss (1) different views of the philosophical divide taken

The Industrial Revolution was the movement with the greatest change in the
machinery during the year 1845. The Industrial Revolution had several changes that
benefited the countries that were led by this movement, but also had its mistakes.
Their main changes were those that used to make objects or machines, as in

My First Day Of College Essay
My first day of college was kind of a blur but it was most certainly a very important
one. I spent my first semester of college at Central Michigan University, I arrived on
the Friday before classes started which is commonly known as Welcome Weekend
around campus. Coming into it I really didn t know what to expect from college, I
was really nervous about meeting my roommates and having to communicate with
them. I had been friends with the same 6 people for the past 5 years and moving
on into a new environment where I knew no one was pretty daunting. I live in

unpacked my aunts minivan and moved into my home for next 9 months. I was the
first to arrive so I obviously chose the biggest room, I stayed in Trout hall on the
north side of campus. The way they had it set was 4 roommates in one dorm, each
dorm had 2 bed roomsand 1 bathroom as well as a common room. Different dorm
