Before this semester I always knew there were many characteristics and deferent types of
leaders. Typically when I thought of a leader, I would think of a team leader. A leader that
involves the creation of a vivid picture of its goals, where it is heading and what it will stand for.
The vision inspires and provides a strong sense of purpose and direction. In the easy sense when I
thought of a leader I would think of a quarterback for a football team, commander in the army, and
or a bossof a company. I also knew there was a visionary leader because that s what type of leader I
am. When I think of whose a good leader I think of two people, Martin Luther King Jr. and Adolf
Hitler. These two people were two totally different leaders but they were both great leaders.
Martin Luther Kind JR. led the Civil Rights movements in the United States. He used
nonviolent, or peaceful, protest to try to get equal rights for African Americans. He aroused
white and black alike to protest racial discrimination, poverty, and war. He would give amazing
speeches such as I have a dream in front of 250,000 people. Hitler was a good leader but

flows (FCF) year by year. In order to do so, we decided to use the forecasted revenue numbers from
Capital IQ and calculate all the other metrics by using the trends we saw in last three years
(Exhibit 3). The company can allocate free cash flow in several ways, including but not limited to:
repurchasing stock, reinvesting for growth and paying out dividends.
After calculating the free cash flows, we had to calculate the terminal value of the company.
Doing so required us to estimate a terminal growth rate. We decided that 3.1% growth rate was
suitable for Kimberly Clark. This rate was integrated by 2% expected inflation growth per year
in the US (Federal Reserve), in addition with a 1.1% expected growth of the population (World O
Meters). As a team we believe that since KMB is in a personal care industry, it can be perceived
as a commodity, thus the population growth should directly affect our sales. Necessary goods will
still have relevance in the future.
After terminal value was calculated, we proceeded by valuing KMB using the entity approach.
As shown in the Exhibit 5, the value of the assets is $55,128.44. This was calculated by
discounting all the unlevered cash flows and the terminal value by our WACC of 6.8257%. For

on the 10th of August 1874 in West Branch, Iowa. He grew up in Oregon and was one of the first
students to attend Stanford University when it opened in 1891. Hoover graduated from Stanford
with a major in geology and utilized his education to start a career as a mining engineer. People
do not easily remember Hoover and he is often overlooked when it comes to U.S. history
textbooks. When people speak of Herbert Hoover, they most likely remember him as an economic
Satan , as his Presidency occurred during the first four years of the Great Depression. Hoover
served as the thirty first president of the United States from 1929 to 1933. Before becoming
President, he married Lou Henry, on February 10, 1899. The couple honeymooned in China
where Hoover ended up taking a job as a mining consultant. Shockingly enough, Hoover built a
successful career as lead engineer for a private mining corporation that worked for the Chinese
emperor. For a month of time that the Hoovers lived in China, their settlement was under heavy
fire during the Boxer Rebellion. During this rebellion, Hoover helped his local community by
building barricades around their city and even risked his life by saving Chinese children. He
