This is due to the great detail that she delved into no matter how gruesome or gory those details
might be. She was never ashamed in the way she wrote, but a great deal of sorrow could be
almost physically felt on the pages in which the words are printed. The one issue I did have with
the novel was in the way she would sometime spend little buildup to someone she knew dying. If
I was not careful I would miss someone she knew dying because a few of the sentences were less
than a few words in length. However, I do understand the reasoning to this and that reasoning is
when a person is faced with an outrageously large number of deaths then that person becomes

Purgatory is part number two in Dante s Divine Comedy . This was written in 1300. Although the
story is rather ancient and rare, when looking at the spiritual story with a logical mindset it has the
ability to connect with today. The connection I was able to find behind Dante s work of art was the
psychological and geographical impact. The Divine Comedy contains real life morals; Dante s
work is far more than just a spiritual afterlife poem series. For example, he shows that any journey
is full of trial and error, various beliefs, and hidden lessons.
The divine comedy consists of three parts; The Inferno , Purgatorio , and Paradisio . The inferno is
all different levels of hell and all of the seven deadly sins. Dante meets his guide virgil here who is
with him throughout the entire Divine Comedy. Virgil is the one who takes him on the journey
through hell. The circles of hell starting with circle one are Limbo, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Anger,
Heresy, Violence, and Fraud. In each circle, Dante meets someone new who then explains their
story and background of how they got there. Each level has different punishments. After they finish
their journey they get to the second part; Purgatorio. Purgatory is for the saved who purged their

In the book, Outcasts United, by St. John, my favorite chapter is actually the first one. Chapter
one is all about Luma, the soccer coach of the refugees. The reason chapter one is my favorite is
because she reminds me a lot of myself. Luma wants to part from her parents and stay in the
United States of America. Her choice came with the consequences of her parents and sister not
communicating with her again if she chooses to stay in the US. Her grandma would still
communicate about the family until she passes away in a later chapter. Another example of
why this is my favorite is because I can relate to tons of it. My dad no longer talks to me due to
me moving out at too young of an age. I moved to the city to be closer to work and school but in
his eyes I was sinning. This is also why I think I relate most to Luma. There are other reasons why
I think that I relate to Luma. Throughout the whole book, Luma never wants to give up. For

Animal testing has been a major issue ever since it began. Many people over time began to realize
that it is immoral and that animals deserve rights just as much as humans do. Although many
people have realized that animal testing is wrong, there is still an abundance of others who believe
that there is nothing wrong with animal testing. Imagine if someone had a pet that they love and
someone performed harmful, painful, and fear inducing experiments on them, would the owner
think it is okay? No. Then why do people think it is okay to conduct tests on other animals that
