Electronic Information At The Bedside, And Barcode...
In recent years many innovations have been made to improve qualitative and
quantitative aspects in the nursing profession. It is no secret that to accommodate the
recent healthcare reform and its elevation of insured individuals, as well as the aging
population, the medical industry has had to be more meticulous in improving nursing
care and ultimately patient safety. Technological advancements such as the electronic
health record (EHR), the electronic medical administration record (EMAR), and a
handheld device used for scanning patient armbands and medications were all
introduced around 2007, and have facilitated the ability of nursing staff to promote
effective documentation, verification, and overall, communication. For this reason,
this paper will focus on evidence that demonstrates how electronic documentation at
the bedside, and barcodescanning, have improved nursing care and patient safety in
various aspects of the health care setting.
When it comes to documentation the mantra of phrases, If it was not documented, it
was not done resides with many nurses. As Weiss and Tappen (2015) describe, If a
nurse did not do something, he or she will be left open to negligence or malpractice
charges. Documentation is of utmost importance, and nurses are taught that the most
valuable piece of information that can deter them from possibly losing a lawsuit is in
fact, documentation. Nurses must be thoroughly knowledgeable of how the process
of documentation works.

Therefore, the reasons of Mao s victory could be clearly related to the outcome of the
war; the Mao and the CCP defeated the KMT and established the People s Republic
of China in 1949.
Towards the end of the Chinese Civil War, the Chinese Communist Party under the
leadership of Mao Zedong was able to defeat the Nationalists Party (KMT) which
was under Chiang Kai Shriek. Several reasons have lied upon the triumph of the
CCP. Mao and his party were capable of gaining support from the majority of the
population through their restrained land policies; they were also able to take
advantage of KMT weaknesses, in addition to their complete dedication during the
years.

Throughout the history of China, the civil strife in China had marked a significant
event. With two parties established; the Nationalist known as Kuomintang (KMT) and
the Communist known as the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), conflicts between
them began to erupt due to their difference in beliefs when CCP began to question to
morality of democracy and capitalism. This led to the Chinese Civil War (1945 1949).
Although many see that, early in the civil war it looked as though the Nationalists
might prevail. They controlled key cities, their well equipped troops far outnumbered
Communist troops, and they had support from the United States, (Tamura 180) the
outcome of the war was not what everyone thought to be due to many
Informative Essay On Pit Bull Terrier
From the small South Asian wolf to the large Newfoundland of North Eastern
Canada, dogs have been man s best friend for approximately 10,000 years (
Domestic Dogs , National Geographic). As man has evolved and changed, so has
their canine companion. About 340 dog breeds have been recognized by the
FГ©dГ©ration Cynologique Internationale, the world governing of dogbreeds
(Malina, The Incredible Explosion of Dog Breeds ). However, man has not treated
all of these breeds as their best friend, sometimes going so far as to abuse dogs
simply because of their specific breed, such as, the pit bull which is actually an
umbrella term used for dogs like the American Pit Bull Terrier, American
Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Due to their
history of participating in bull baiting and ratting, where the dogs were bred to
attack, people have labeled them as aggressive dogs and believe that no matter the
dog, it will be dangerous simply because of its breed. However, just like humans, the
temperament of the dog depends on how it was raised. With... Show more content on

This dog was used originally for boar hunting and as a general companion and
guard, but became popular with the sport of bull baiting since they were best
suited for it by far due to their agility and smaller size. Bull baiting was extremely
popular in England no matter your social class. The objective was to have a dog
seize a bull by the nose, its most tender part which rendered it helpless when hurt,
and to not let go, eventually bringing the bull down (Marien de Luca, Bull Baiting
). In 1885, bull baiting became illegal in England so people looked toward new
entertainment in ratting and dog fighting which led the bulldog to be bred with
terriers to become smaller and even more agile, leading the to the Pit Bull Terrier
breed ( History of the Pit Bull , Pit Bull
The Beginning Of Photography In The 1820 s
The beginning of photography was the beginning of one of the greatest technologies.
The possibility of taking a moment and saving it forever is spectacular. Photography
has been invented by many different people and many cultures but the first one to
succeed with a photograph was NicГ©phore NiГ©pce in the 1820 s. Even though it
wasn t like the photographywe know today and it took several days of light exposure
and the picture wasnt very clear, it was still a photograph. He was the first one to have
a successful picture even though many attempted such as Thomas Wedgwood. The
difference between his picture and NicГ©phore NiГ©pce and Thomas was that
Thomas used silver nitrate while Nicephore used silver chloride. The technology of a

Foster Care Research Paper
Is Foster Care Saving the Next Generation or Hurting It? The average child is born
into a loving family in the United States, but the other six percent are not so lucky.
Some children in today s world are unfortunate enough to be born into unfit families.
Many of these children are thrown into foster care and taken away from these
families . A serious debate in today s society is whether or not foster careis a safe for
children, or a trap.
Foster care is a place for vacated or neglected children to go as a safe place. This
system was made in hopes of reuniting families and the occasional adoption. Child

Group homes and kinship care are popular alternatives. A home that holds six or
more children is considered a group home. This benefits the children by involving
them with children of similar issues that they can relate to. Group homes encourage
traumatized foster children to speak up and talk to their peers about their problems.
The fear of being judged drops tremendously, resulting to foster children expressing
their feelings rather than holding everything in. Kinship care is the process of
children being taken from their parents and given to a close relative. Kinship care is
organized through Child Protective Services. One major benefit of kinship care is
instead of the neglected child going to a stranger, they go to a close relative. This
makes them more comfortable and could even lessen the trauma that comes with

Mulchay Film Techniques
Shine and swimming upstream are two very exciting movies. Muclahy and Hicks
have created two extremely strong characters through using different camera angles,
sounding, and lighting when they are on the screen. These two directors also created
two intense action scenes through using those techniques. Even though both exciting
films have different stories within them they still pose similar themes.
Mulchay and Hicks created two very intense and exciting action themes in the movies
swimming upstream and Shine. When Tony and John were racing in the trials for the
empire games, camera angles, transitions and the type of music being played created
the audience to move to the edge of their seats. The way the camera transitioned from

In the film, Swimming Up Stream Mulcahy directed a scene where Tony and his
older brother, Harold Jnr, had a boxing match with their father watching on. Both
sons wanted to impress their father, but it was obvious that Tony was the weaker
son and wasn t his father s favorite at all. In the scene, it portrayed Tony s
characteristics as him not being a fighter, being a pushover but also wanting to
impress his father. Because when his father commented, com on you little poofta
get up and fight, stop being a little sissy. During the fight, he got up and started to
fight back until his mother came in and broke them up. The camera angles and
music that was used when Tony was the focal point of the screen generally
portrayed him as determined, but also made the audience feel his feeling of being
disowned. David also had the same kind of camera angles and music displayed
when he was the center focus, as when he told his father about leaving Australia to
move to London, to live the dream of becoming one of the best pianists in the
world. As he got the invite to (need the college) he told his father in an extremely
weak voice I wanna go and you can t stop me. After he said that he got abused by
his father, and when he was coming up the camera angles was as if the audience
was looking down to him which made him be portrayed as weak and a pushover.
David was extremely influenced by his father, extremely so that when he became
disabled he would murmur words such as I m a very lucky boy continuously, he
would also murmur words and phrases that his father drilled into him since a young
age. Both boys were push overs and did exactly what their fathers told them to do, but
were also strong and independent when they discovered that they are mentally
stronger than their fathers, these characters were a key point in the making of the
How Does Gastroenteritis Affect The Body
Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and intestines, characterized by
excessive diarrhea and usually accompanied by vomiting. A big factor in severity of
the patient and how they should be treated will be the level of dehydration, which
effects the body in many ways.
Vomiting and diarrhea cause a number of changes to the body. With the loss of
stomach contents, we also see a loss of Hydrochloric Acid (HCl), which in turn
contributes to the loss of potassium, or hypokalemia, and loss of sodium, or
hyponatremia. The kidneys begin to retain any sodium that is in the collecting ducts
by sacrificing hydrogen ions. This helps to prevent loss of potassium by halting the
sodium/potassium pump and leads to Metabolic Alkalosis. The loss

Adipotide: Product Description
Adipotide is a synthetic peptide that possesses anti obesity properties. this peptide
particularly targets and destroys specific proteins that constitute the surface of
blood vessels that support white fat (adipose) tissue hence interfering with the
supply of blood to the fat cells and resulting in their adoptosis (reabsorption and
metabolization). Adipotide was initially referred to as Prohibitin TP01 (Prohibitin
Targeting Peptide 1). It is a peptidomimetic that was synthesized by American
scientists as a potential therapeutic drug for obesity and its amino acid sequence is
CKGGRAKDC GG D(KLAKLAK)2. Adipotide has a molecular formula of
C111H204N36O28S2. Peptidomimetics are tiny protein like chains that imitate
peptides. It is an experimental drug for weight loss. It was developed in a way that
enables it to bind to two receptors, prohibitin and ANXA2 which are found in blood
vessels that support white adipose tissue. In rat and monkey based experiments,
Adipotide has been shown to bring about rapid weight loss in both mice and rhesus
monkeys. In general, Adipotide has been observed to bring about weight loss by
reducing fat tissue especially in the abdominal region), rapid metabolic changes, and
decreased food intake. Product History
Adipotide was first synthesized by Dr.Wadih Arap and Renata Pasqualini in their
efforts to develop a drug with therapeutic properties in the treatment of cancer. The

Alexandria During The Hellenistic Age
Alexandria became a very dominant and important royal capital during the
Hellenistic age, located on the edge of Egypt, Alexandria was able to advance
medically in various ways. The city was an exceptional place to learn, teach and
research medicine during its Hellenistic age time period. The advancement in science
and math, the geographical location, and the people of Alexandriaall contributed to
reaching the peak of medical breakthroughs. In order to support my claim on why
Alexandria was a place to further advance in medicine I will be using three ancient
sources from Michael Austin s book The Hellenistic world from Alexander to the
Roman conquest as well as scholarly views on the benefits and oppositions
Alexandria had towards medical advancement.

In Greek Science its Hellenistic Age by J.V. Luce, he was able to show how
Alexandria was looked upon as a city of great potential, with philosophers,

how science was looked upon for its benefiting factors that could contribute towards
medicine and how many rulers of Alexandria greatly supported the science and math
fields as much as too fund it with money and resources. Alexandria has been looked
at positively for its advancement in medicine and a major part of its advancement
was its knowledge through science and math. Alexandria is a place to learn about
medicine because they have knowledge on how to get from one step of the process to
another. In order then to greatly benefit from medicine that have to learn how to
become medically advanced and through science and math they were able to do that
with time. An example on how science and math techniques became well known in

deployment of measuring methods that lead him to greatly contribute to Alexandria

Development Of A Service Innovation
Introduction:
The aim of the report is to discuss the development of a service innovation in a
hospital care setting.
Therefore the innovation being introduced in the report will focus on the pain
management tool for assessing chronic conditions in service users with dementia in
hospital settings. As pain is a very subjective experience it is important that the tool is
specifically based on the individual s own way of expressing and communicating their
pain in relation to their chronic conditions.
The first section of this report will review and evaluate a body of evidence to support
the development of the pain management tool by looking at the subject of the change
management proposal, the relevant stake holders and the change agent to support the
change. Secondly the report will focus on theories and strategies to management of
change by using change management model and explaining the process of it. Thirdly
the issues and experience of being a team member in the development of the service
improvement proposal will be reflected and also explore the dynamics of the team.
Lastly for the transition from student nurse to registered nurse, based on the findings
from the evaluation of personal performance further development will be discussed
identifying the leadership skills needed and design an action plan which includes
outcomes and how these outcomes will be measured.
The aim of the change is to:

How Does Bruno Mars Use Language In Grenade
As a singer and songwriter, Bruno Mars implements the true meaning of love in his
song, Grenade . Throughout the song, Bruno Mars addresses the sacrifices a guy is
willing to make for a girl. A guy: catching a grenade, jumping in front of a train,
throwing his hand on the blade, taking a bullet straight through his brain captivates
the audience s emotions. The language used allows the audience to better understand
that there are sympathetic guys out there that care so much for a girl. Bruno Mars,
singer songwriter of this song, engages with his emotions about there being guys out
there that are willing to sacrifice their life for a girl by incorporating a melancholic
tone through the coping mechanisms: idiom, hyperbole, and rhyme.

The Discovery Of The Chemical And Biomedical
Engineering
Qian Hongyan lost both of her legs due to a car accident she was in when she was
four years old. She grew up in Luilang county, Southwestern China. For numerous
years she learned to walk by balancing herself using wooden stilts and a basketball.
After several years she received prosthetic limbs from the China Rehabilitation
Research Center. Chemical and biomedical engineering have given a multitude of
people a second chance at living such as Qian. Throughout history, many instances
such as the discovery of x rays, amputation procedures, and the mass killings of
malariaand smallpox have caused the need for the medical, chemical, and
biomedical fields to grow in order to solve these problems. Through many doctors,
physicians, engineers, and scientists working together, they have created a safer
world for many by discovering new innovative tools, procedures, and medicines. The
need for newer medical tools, safer medical procedures, and more effective
medicines have caused a growth in the chemical and biomedical fields.
Background
According to the Bureau of Labor Statics, the fields of chemical and biomedical
engineering will be growing from 2014 2024. Biomedical engineering is expected
to grow 23%. The Bureau of Labor Statistics claims, In addition, the integration of

Max Weber sThe Protestant Ethic And The Spirit Of
Capitalism
The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism Max Weber s The Protestant Ethic
and the Spirit of Capitalism gives meaning to the center of the capitalist culture. The
capitalistic nature of society evolves from the Puritans. The Protestant Ethic was a
dominant and established concept within their culture before the labeling of capitalism
as an order was put into practice. This ethic found it morally permissible to obtain
wealth for God, but not for flesh and sin (Weber, pg 435). The obedient Christians
would drive for the opportunity to gain profit to fulfill their calling and be a
steward for the Lord. Obtaining wealth as a result of temptation to idleness and
sinful enjoyment of life (Weber, pg 435) and living without careful though was seen
negatively, but the acquisition of wealth in the view of performing your duty as a
good Christian was encouraged. Not pursuing wealth by not expanding in your
talent was seen as disrespectful to God s glory, principally in the form of begging.
By trying to pursue the spiritual goal of wealth, the acetic aspect of the Protestant
Ethic allowed individuals to refrain from the pleasures of wealth by reasoning with
their calling. The ascetic conduct related to the rational means behind the Puritans
acquiring wealth with duty and religion in mind and for the purpose of the calling.
In the Spirit of Capitalism there was a religious aspect that drove their determination.

protect, promote, and optimize healthand abilities, prevent illness and injury, and
respond to distress regarding the practice beliefs and the values of a faith community.
The FCN emphases on the purposeful care of the spirit as well as the promotion of

Breisch, Hurley, and Moore (2013) established that advocacy for appropriate levels
of care for susceptible populations and people with inadequate access to healthcare is
a role that can be played by FCNs. In addition, FCNs are responsible for the provision
of awareness among church communities with low literacy skills to promote
healthcare. Through the initiation of referrals for clinical treatment, providing
assistance to access home care resources, assisting with extended care appointments,
and providing support to healthcare consumers, FCNs can promote improved quality
care.
Problem Statement
Currently, the local church for which this DNP student is to develop the DNP
project lacks an FCN, who can provide healthcare services to the church senior s
citizen center, located in the southeast region of the United States (US). According
to the director of the church senior s citizen center, there is an urgent need for FCN.
FCN, in this case, can play an integral role by linking faith and health (Van Dover
Pfeiffer, 2011). For example, the ANA and HMA (2012) acknowledged that FCNs
promote, and optimize health and abilities, aid in the prevention of injury and illness,
and help parishioners in suffering. FCN in this context can enhance better health
practices and values of a faith community at the church senior s citizen center.

Violent Media Argument Analysis
My argument synthesis essay
Violent media is good for kids is a fascinating article written by Gerard Jones. He
makes an argument about how many forms of creative violence help many more
children than they harm by giving them a tool to master their rage. At thirteen years
of age he explains how forms of violence have been insightful and impactful for him.
Growing up alone and afraid Gerard was taught by his parents that rage was
something to be overcome and that violence was wrong. He was placed in a small
school he felt was wrong for him, but then he withdrew from his loneliness when he
became introduced to Marvel comics. Specifically, a character in the Marvel comics

That rage in the rapper s lyrics helped her in a way which she felt she could be
powerful and invulnerable in her mind. That same girl later in her life avoided the
use of drugs that sank many of her peers and succeeded through college as a writer
and political activist.
Jones is not making an argument saying that violent entertainment is harmless. He
knows it inspired some people to real life violence. He argues that it has helped
many people for the many people that it hurt before and that it can help even more if
people learn to utilize it well. He believes that parents highest priority with their kids
is to prevent them growing up into violent thugs, but modern kids are more likely to
grow up too passive, distrustful of themselves, and too easily manipulated. He
believes that when parents try to protect their own kids from their own feelings and
fantasies, they shelter them not from violence but against power and selfhood. Jones
urges us to consider helping our kids with their fantasies rather than trying to hide
them or take them away.
When life imitates video is another article written by John Leo who opposes the
argument given before by Gerard Jones. John s argument is that If we want to
avoid more massacres we should be taking the social effects of killing games more
seriously. He mentions the Colorado Massacre as suspects Dylan Klebold and Eric
Harris used pistol grip shotguns as
Railroad Industry And Railroad Technology
Railroad Safety in America The railroad industry and railroad technology in the
United States has changed over the years. The railroad industry and railroad
technology has helped the men and women make things safer and faster for people
who rely on the railroad. From passenger rail service to freight service, each one
has their ways in using technology for the future. The Federal Railroad
Administration (FRA) is continually working to do better at rail safety on all
railroads. Their mission is to enable the safe, reliable, and efficient movement of
people and goods for a strong America, now and in the future. 1 Each year, one
hundred railway accidents are investigated and every railway facility is
investigated by the FRA. They specialize in different areas on the railroad that
includes: tracks amp; structures, railroad operating practices, signal amp; train
control systems, motive power and equipment, hazardous materials, and highway
rail grade crossings. 2 These are the areas that I will focus on for my essay
regarding railroad safety in America. The main items that any railroad needs to
build a stretch of track from one city to another are wooden ties, spikes, rails, and
the ballast (stones). The ballast is laid down first and is smoothed out for the
workers who can then lay down the ties that are spread out from each tie at a
distance of two feet. It is critical to use ballast over the ground foundation. The
ballast keeps the rails off the ground and
Genocide In Bosnia Research Paper
Genocide In Bosnia The Genocide in Bosnia was the outcome of misleadership

death of over 100,000 soldiers and civilians(War Crime). The war consisted
consisted of two sides: the Bosnian Serbs and the Bosnian Croats. The conflict was

stranded in Bosnia in the middle of the war witnessing all that the UN and the

Analysis Of The Companies Act 2006
The Government also got heavily involved and in this period and managed to pass
7 companies acts in a relatively short period of time. Although it was almost two
decades before another Companies Act got passed. This act was the Companies Act

14 years before it was replaced by the Accounting Standards Board (ASB). The main
purpose of the ASB is to develop and issue accounting standards and principles; to
address urgent accounting issues and to work in unison with other accounting
institutions. The ASB operates under the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) which
is a private limited company, and the standards issued by the ASB are called
Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs). In the early 70s, the International Accounting
Standards Committee (IASC) was born. The priority of the IASC was to improve
comparability of financial statements on an international level. It then changed its
name to the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). The main aim of the
IASB is not too dissimilar from the IASC ... to develop a single set of high quality,
Why Adults Wear Diapers
There are several reasons adults need to wear diapers. Some people suffer from
incontinence or diarrhea. Others have to wear diapers because of a physical
handicap. There are several things that people have to take into consideration when
purchasing adult diapers. Some of those things include the level of absorbency and
the size are some of the things that have to be considered when purchasing a diaper.
Attends Dermadry Complete Diapers are examples of some of the adult diapers that
are available. They are designed for people who need a heavy level of absorbency.
The sizes range from medium to x large.
The Attends Absorbent Breathable Briefs is another option for adults who are in
need of diapers. They provide maximum absorbency. They also

Labelling Theory Of Crime Essay
It is scenarios such as the ones mentioned earlier that lead to biases being
developed by the public, the media, the police, and the criminal justice system
itself based off of socioeconomic status. It starts with Lombroso s positive
approach and his ideas about the criminal man and what makes a criminal. He
believed that criminals had certain innate characteristics about them that could be
identified by the police, creating a bias about who is a criminal based on what
they look like (Historical Perspectives, 2018). This gradually led us to labelling
theory, which explains why some people are labelled as criminal and some are not
(Historical Perspectives, 2018). Once someone commits a deviant act, they start to be

Over time, this has eventually grown to where we our know, which the income
inequality and biases based off this regarding crime and conviction rates. A good
example of this is the Black Lives Matter campaign and their responses to the
murder of innocent black men by the police. Many of the lives lost were people of
colour who lived in what would be classified as a lower class neighbourhood. These
men are being killed by police because of the mistrust the police have for this social
group, based off of these biases that have been developed and reinforced by the
criminal justice system as well as the public. Many argue that these situations would
not have occurred if the men in the situation had been white or it had occurred in a
more upper class neighbourhood. This demonstrates a clear line of inequality and if
it could be erased, and all social groups being treated as equal, there would be no
need for this movement, because situations like those would no longer
Disadvantages Of Paranoia
Disclaimer: This article is not going to be serious, but after you finish reading it,
you will understand why recruiters are paranoid beings, why we sometimes act
strange, and you will find out why it s not our fault. And if you are recruiter reading
this article, do not take this article personally. It s all in good fun. :)
In this world only the paranoid survive. Dean Koontz
There are two types of recruiters out there: recruiters working for staffing agencies
(including headhunters/freelancers) and recruiters working for companies. Their
state of paranoia is very similar but there are a few slight differences.

This lets you know what the candidate is planning to do so you are not surprised.
You will be more present during your discussion with the candidate and when you
hear the same story that you heard many times before, you are going to know how
the discussion ends. Paranoia makes you a much more efficient and detailed
recruiter. It will affect your pipeline and time to fill, because if you have gut feeling
that at the end the candidate is not going to join your company, you are not going to
stop your search. You will continue to build a strong pipeline so you don t have to
start the search from the scratch when the candidate calls you with the bad news that
you already know.
The longer you spend in recruitment, the less you say to your colleagues I never saw
it coming and the more you say I told you so.
In our life, we are candidates many times and as candidates we should be honest
with our recruiters and not make them more paranoid. If you have more offers, if
you are not sure if this is the right job for you, etc., do not be afraid to speak up. Call
and tell your recruiter the truth about what is going

Deaf Again Essay
Could you picture yourself growing up as in a world where everyone treated you
differently or thought that you were stupid just because you are unable to hear?
Well Mark Drolsbaugh experienced that first hand. He explains his story of how he
dealt with his hearing loss in his novel Deaf Again. The book begins with a small
child who could hear just fine, but as the story progresses he becomes hard of hearing
and eventually deaf. All this happens with in a couple of years. Mark realized that
he had a hearing problem in the first grade when he was presenting a toy for show
and tell. Another student asked him a question about his item, but he was so far
away Mark was unable to hear him. Mark s respond was a blank stare at the boy. The

everything was translated it was too late. He was later to be the only Deaf student to

that he was a normal person and could function just like everyone else. While at
Gallaudet he learned a lot about Deaf Culture and also met his wife there. He had a

their child has the most advantage with their education and everyday life. There are
many lessons that are taught, like you should not force a child to use a hearing aid

Gender Equality And Women s Rights
Women in the world still face discrimination and gender equality takes action to
achieve women s rights. AAUW provides and gives women the chance to have an
education, while Catalyst reaches out to women to carry out equal pay, equal
participation in the workplace, and remove discrimination. UN Women attains to
human rights for women. Throughout history women have fought for genderequality
in the workplace and in education, and every year organizations like AAUW,
Catalyst, and UN Women have gotten closer to balancing equality. Improving
education for women and girls continues to stay the goal for AAUW. The article Girls
education and gender equality, reports that to improve education, women need life
skills and women role models to look up to (2). Role models play an important part
for young girls because girls need good examples to follow. In addition, well
educated role models will teach girls the importance of learning and why they
need it. Role models will inspire young girls to focus on education and overcome
the obstacles of education. Role models will help young girls accept themselves
because role models teach the importance of accepting their life. Having female
role models shows the importance of women and what they can achieve in the
world. Education provides girls the opportunity to learn life skills for example, life
skills will teach girls how to act correctly, in addition life skills will provide young
girls how to think and build
Characterizing Pagan Religions Essays
Let s first start by defining Paganism. Paganism: the simplest way to describe
Paganism is that Paganism is a religion of place or a native religion, for example
the Native American s religion is Pagan, and also Hinduism is one religion within
the Paganism religions. ( What is paganism? ) All Pagan religions are characterized
by a connection and reverence for nature, and usually have many Gods and/or
Goddesses.
Paganism is a religion of nature, in other words Pagans feel deep respect for
Nature. Pagans see the divine as existence in life and the universe; in every living
thing, every animal, plant, earth and man and woman, in the dark side of life as
much as in the light. Pagans live their lives in tune with the cycles of nature; the ...

One first hand account is that of someone that could be said to have been born into
Paganism, myself. I feel that although I do consider myself Wiccan, am not
technically a Witch, but more spiritual and nature bound. I come from a long line
of woman healers and herbalists leading as far back as at least ten generations of
Pagans, as well as countless generations of Gypsies. My ancestors are mixed from
Irish, Cherokee, Roman, Swedish, and quite a few more. My personal attitude is
simple; hold all sacred. And I do follow The Wiccan Rede.
Cassondra P., a self proclaimed Wiccan since she was a teen, and a personal friend
of mine, stated, As a Christian, I just started not to feel right , I was uncomfortable,
and felt as though something was missing, and then I found it in the Wiccan

currently a High Priestess in my local coven, as well as a teacher of Wicca stated, (in
reference to all being sinners) I always wondered, how can a baby be born a sinner?
Why, if God is truly all loving, are we supposed to fear him? Why does a god that
wants us to love allow hate, murder and war? This God that loves all his children
allows entire countries to starve, and wither away. No one has an answer I can agree
with. Lacking any real satisfactory answers, I began to question the differences of my
own beliefs and feelings in Christianity, to
Cannibalism Is Taboo And A Violation Of The Law
The film showcases cannibalism, which is taboo and a violation of the law.
Cannibalism is generally frowned upon because it is not something that civilized
societies engage in. Cannibalism is an action that is primitive and what wild
animals do in order to survive. For humans to commit this atrocity, it signifies that
we have not moved beyond our animal nature. Thus, cannibalism threatens the idea
that we have evolved beyond this primitive behavior that separates us from wild
animals. It violates the border between civilized and savage. When we see
Leatherface and his family engage in cannibalism, we are repulsed that they could
violate this taboo that is central to maintaining a civilized society. Additionally,
cannibalism is taboo because it is like eating oneself. Kristeva (1982) writes, Fear
of the uncontrollable generative mother repels me from the body; I give up
cannibalism because abjection (of the mother) leads me toward respect for the
body of the other, my fellow man, my brother. The maternal body is a reminder of
the ties and dependence we had on our mothers. The fear of the mother s generative
power makes her body and thus all other bodies abject and inedible. By not
consuming the flesh of other humans, we are able to maintain our connections to
other people. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre depicts more severe acts of violence on
women than men, which may be explained by the abject. Creed (1986) suggests that
the reason for significant bleeding in a slasher

Taking Risks In Hamlet By William Shakespeare
Some people say that the biggest risk is not taking one. A study was done on
elderly people and they say that they wished that they did things differently in life
and that they regret not doing things like rock climbing and other physical
activities. Although taking risks can be beneficial some risks like drunk driving,
shoplifting and extreme dieting can end with very negative results. On the other
hand taking risks can be beneficial. For example you can ride a cool roller coaster
at an amusement park, go snowboarding or even skydive. These can cause you to
take more responsibility and you can higher your self esteem and make you feel
better about yourself. Some things that can cause you to make these negative risks
would be peer pressure, trying to be rebellious or, to escape from unhappy situations
or feelings as a way to cope. I think that taking good risks can be a good thing and
that bad risks can... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

brave warrior who has been told that he would be king. To achieve his goal of

him of all these prophecies tell him that he cannot be hurt by anyone born of a

Key Contributions: Helps keep cities clean which boosts the quality of life.
4.2.2. Power and Energy Distribution
Many cities are trying to adopt smart grids to efficiently manage distribution of
energy. Currently the main source of energy is coal and fossil fuels. Technological
advances have not yet reached the stage where renewable sources of energy can
sustain life globally. It has been estimated that by 2050, the world s fossil fuel might
get completely depleted. Hence it is important to conserve energy and use it
efficiently. Smart sensors can be installed in offices and homes to make sure lights
are switched off when no motion is detected in a room. Similarly, smart grids can
analyze power consumption in areas to detect anomalies in power usage.
Key Contributions: Maintains ecological balance and creates a sustainable ecosys tem.

Essay on Rent Control
There is a reason for everything, and if there is no reason to do something, most
people will not do it. For example, if there is no incentive to motivate landlords to
upkeep their property and make it the best it can be, they will left their properties at
the lowest manageable state they can get away. Rent ceiling laws are an example of
how lack of motivation and incentives can discourage people from making sure their
best work and resources go into their product or whatever they are doing. These laws
impose limitations on the amount landlords can charge their tenants for staying in
their properties. This causes the landlords to lose the amount of money they should
have made on their property, and the landlords will not be motivated to... Show more

The obstacles landlords have to overcome causes them to lose their motivation to
invest in rental properties and they instead flock towards other housing options to
include condominiums, office towers, and hotels.
In short, lack of motivation in exchange for more red tape causes investors and
landlords to move towards more profitable options. This movement of money and
resources tends to negatively impact people trying to find a place to live, most
notably the poor. The National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) states that
prospective customers must pay finder fees to find a rental property due to a
presumably growing scarcity of available housing. As if this were not bad enough, in
some communities rental properties are handed down to friends and family, so they
never quite leave the market. In order to obtain housing, new consumers are forced to
pay key money and other fees. These costs tend to impact young, single, and poor
families the most.
As if all of the more or less hidden fees were not bad enough, young, single, and
poor families able to find a rental property are often discriminated against. Landlords
tend to use factors such as income and credit history in determining who gets their
rental property Richer families end up doing better with rent control laws because of
this. Poorer people who make up a larger part of the population end up out of a
house to live in.
Some economists would argue the above mentioned examples of why rent control is
harmful to
Rene Magritte And Victor Brauner
The two artworks I have chosen to discuss in this paper are 3 D sculptures of two
renowned artists. These surrealists of two amazing sculptures are Rene Magritte
and Victor Brauner. Both of their artworks are located at The Menil Collection,
Houston TX. These in the round sculptures are entitled Megalomania (La folie des
grandeurs) and Sign (Signe). First, Rene Magritte s medium on his Megalomania
masterpiece is bronze. It was sculpted in 1967, and the size of this artwork is 61 x 48
x 32 3/8 inches (Menil). Similarly, Victor Brauner s medium on his Sign artwork is
gilded bronze. The artwork was beautifully crafted as well in 1945 and casted in
1961. The size of this artwork is 12 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches (Menil). As I go on, I

Moreover, the shapes of both sculptures are organic and 3D with substantial mass.
Furthermore, the Megalomania shows an asymmetrical balance, while the Sign
shows a symmetrical balance. Moving to the cultural context of both artworks, both
artists influences are tied back to their roots. Thus, Rene Magritte who was born in
Belgium (Encyclopedia Britannica) has great influences of his mother. The sculpture
of Megalomania is tied to his mother s influence, for it is representing a woman s
body. Some of his artworks subjects are women. On the other hand, Victor Brauner
was born in Romania. Brauner was active in an avant garde movement in Romania
which deeply influences his artwork such as the Sign (Wikiart). The era or the time
of creation of these artworks are not far distant from each other. The Megalomania
was created in 1967, and the Sign was created in 1945. During those years, surrealism
was then practiced by many artists. This movement was introduced in the 20th
century, specifically in the early 1920s (surrealism.org). Based on my direct
observation, both sculptures exemplify the era of surrealism. Thus, Magritte and
Brauner at that time had to explore this form of art as well. Meanwhile, these two in
the round sculptures have similarities and differences. The similarities of the two
sculptures are the following: both medium are bronze, both artistic styles are surreal,
both have smooth textures, both shapes show 3D aspects, and both artists

Tuberculosis In Hama
The rate of tuberculosis is increasing according to a medical source from the Syrian
city of Hama. In support of this statement, the internal medicine doctor, Kamal Al
Taqi, confirmed the rates are rising, and there have been multiple deaths due to the
resistance of the antibiotic treatment. As the evidence shows, these events take place
in the both Hama and northern Syrian regions. Throughout the city, numerous deaths
of small children and the elderly are caused tuberculosis(International Society for
Infectious Diseases, [ISID], 2017). Similarly, there are cases like those in Hama and
Northern regions occurring in Aleppo, considering the poor are highly susceptible to

Additional city populations include Aleppo (4.2 million), Homs (1.6 million), Hama
(1.6 million), Lattakia (1 million). The climate is particularly desert; hot, dry, sunny
summers (June to August) and mild, rainy winters (December to February) along the
coast (Nationsonline.org, 2017).
Tuberculosis, also known as (TB), has been around for decades and is still active
across the globe. This infectious disease is caused by the bacterium called
Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The bacteria are commonly found in the lungs, but it
can spread to other organs such as the kidneys, spine, and brain. As expected, many
people believe that everyone who is exposed to TB will become ill, however this
not true. Regarding this, there are two TB related conditions exist: latent TB
infection (dormant) and TB disease (active). As evidence shows, you can die from
the disease if you do not seek treatment in a timely manner (CDC, 2017a). Anyone
can become infected with TB if they breathe in the bacteria that is spread by tiny
air droplets when a person coughs or speaks (CDC, 2017b). Further testing, such as
a chest x ray and a sample of sputum (mucus), is necessary to see whether the person
has TB disease (CDC, 2017c).
According to the World Health Organization, one of the top infectious killer
worldwide is Tuberculosis. In 2015, 10.4 million people contracted TB and while

My Character, My Voice, And The Plot
NaNoWriMo, which means National Novel Writing Month, has been introduced at
my school. The seventh and eighth grade classes had the honor of trying it out, and I
was one of the students that got to. I have strengths and weaknesses in my novel that
determine the characters, my voice, and the plot. To begin, I would rate my
characters in my novelan emerging. One reason, is because my major, and minor,
characters are well explained. My main characterDylan, also known as my
protagonist, is practically explained in every single sentence, except for the beginning
of course. The beginning explains how each of the main supporting characters act,
along with the protagonist. I believe that I explained the supporting characters well

The friend I give it to wouldn t even need to know me well enough to determine that
the novel is mine. It seems as if I am leaving my fingerprint in my novel as I write.
Most people know that I m all against sexistism, and I have proof of that in my
novel. I also could be known to have an old soul, meaning that I don t agree with
what a lot of people do in this generation, and I d rather have it be like old times,
which is another point that can be found in my novel. I tend to use grade level
vocabulary when I write almost everything, and people could also find evidence of
that in my novel.
Finally, I would rate the plot in my novel an emerging because of the not very
strong climax. When people think of a climax, they usually expect something like:
the dark object inched closer and closer to me. I had no clue what the mysterious
shadow was, but it gave me a bad feeling. The monster screeched a little, which
almost made me fall off the bed. I blink once, and the creature is two feet closer. I
blink once more, and it is five feet closer. I blink, yet again, and the creature is right
up to face. I can literally smell its rotting breath. Sounds about right, correct? Well
my climax, and I quote: I zip down the entrance, but find myself face to face with a
bobcat. Yes, you heard right, a bobcat! I scream probably the loudest I ever have, and
the bobcat growls a bit at me. The big cat even snarls its two sharp, yellow, rows of
teeth. I back away as much as I possibly
Kim Campbell
The rise of Kim Campbell as Canada s first female Prime Minister is considered by
many to be that of a phenomenon. Webster s Dictionary describes a phenomenon
as being something of significant or rare, either fact or event. This can be shown
by the rise of Kim Campbell from a local Vancouver School Board Trustee, to
becoming Prime Minister of Canada. Of course, this success was dependent on her
ability and ambition to succeed in what is still considered in contemporary terms as
being a male dominated area of profession. Politics, especially in Canada and the
United States has never been known for its equal availability between men and
women, and only in recent times has seen growth in the number of women who are
elected and participate... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This failure was not due to inability, but instead due to her growing ambition to
further her career possibilities. When she was given the opportunity to succeed in
a field of interest, she jumped at the chance. Afterwards, she lectured at the
University of British Columbia and Vancouver Community College in the area of
political science. Because she had only received her Bachelor s degree, she was
unable to receive tenure, and had to frequently change her places of work, and
ultimately became tired of the process. Campbell felt that it was not due to her
academics that she did not receive tenure, but instead that it was due to sexism. In
1980 she entered the world of elected public office as a trustee of the Vancouver
School Board, serving as its Chairperson in 1983 and Vice Chairperson in 1984,
while completing her law degree at the University of British Columbia. After an
early run for the Social Credit party in the provincial election of 1983 she worked
in the office of Premier Bill Bennett before running again and winning in the 1986
provincial election. While a member of the British Columbian legislature, it became
apparent that she would not be able to further her career, as a MLA (Member of the
Legislative Assembly) backbencher. During this time the Progressive Conservatives
were preparing for the upcoming 1988 Federal Election. In 1988 she accepted an
offer from the federal Progressive Conservative party to
William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar
Antony s Funeral Oration in Julius Caesar, and Why It Wouldn t Stand in Court
Circumstantial evidence is a very tricky thing. It may seem to point very straight to
one thing, but if you shift your own point of view a little, you may find it pointing in
an equally uncompromising manner to something entirely different. Sir Arthur
Conan Doyle. What does circumstantial evidencehave to do with a speech, you may
ask? In a manner of speaking, everything, for the evidence maketh the speech. In
William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar, a long winded Marc Antony had the wiles to
manipulate a large plebian crowd to mutiny during Caesar s funeral, using only
simple words that were cleverly twisted to prove his point. Before humans learned
the concept of applying reasonable doubt to each and every scenario, Antony had
a surefire way of winning over the citizens. But as we evolved and have become
more knowledgeable, a speech like that would evoke demanding yells of, Where s
the proof? As the gaping holes of logic are made clear in Antony s funeral oration,
we begin to see what sorts of artifices made his speech so cunning; its use of
circumstantial evidence applied in the correct context, its largely emotional pleas, and
its desperate engagement of the citizens by telling them what they want to hear. In
this way, Marc Antony is nothing more than a demagogue, and his respective speech
is nothing more than a series of words that subject the plebian crowd to sheer
demagoguery.

  • 2. Electronic Information At The Bedside, And Barcode... In recent years many innovations have been made to improve qualitative and quantitative aspects in the nursing profession. It is no secret that to accommodate the recent healthcare reform and its elevation of insured individuals, as well as the aging population, the medical industry has had to be more meticulous in improving nursing care and ultimately patient safety. Technological advancements such as the electronic health record (EHR), the electronic medical administration record (EMAR), and a handheld device used for scanning patient armbands and medications were all introduced around 2007, and have facilitated the ability of nursing staff to promote effective documentation, verification, and overall, communication. For this reason, this paper will focus on evidence that demonstrates how electronic documentation at the bedside, and barcodescanning, have improved nursing care and patient safety in various aspects of the health care setting. When it comes to documentation the mantra of phrases, If it was not documented, it was not done resides with many nurses. As Weiss and Tappen (2015) describe, If a nurse did not do something, he or she will be left open to negligence or malpractice charges. Documentation is of utmost importance, and nurses are taught that the most valuable piece of information that can deter them from possibly losing a lawsuit is in fact, documentation. Nurses must be thoroughly knowledgeable of how the process of documentation works.

Therefore, the reasons of Mao s victory could be clearly related to the outcome of the war; the Mao and the CCP defeated the KMT and established the People s Republic of China in 1949. Towards the end of the Chinese Civil War, the Chinese Communist Party under the leadership of Mao Zedong was able to defeat the Nationalists Party (KMT) which was under Chiang Kai Shriek. Several reasons have lied upon the triumph of the CCP. Mao and his party were capable of gaining support from the majority of the population through their restrained land policies; they were also able to take advantage of KMT weaknesses, in addition to their complete dedication during the years. {408 words} Body Throughout the history of China, the civil strife in China had marked a significant event. Although many see that, early in the civil war it looked as though the Nationalists might prevail. They controlled key cities, their well equipped troops far outnumbered Communist troops, and they had support from the United States, (Tamura 180) the outcome of the war was not what everyone thought to be due to many

About 340 dog breeds have been recognized by the FГ©dГ©ration Cynologique Internationale, the world governing of dogbreeds (Malina, The Incredible Explosion of Dog Breeds ). However, man has not treated all of these breeds as their best friend, sometimes going so far as to abuse dogs simply because of their specific breed, such as, the pit bull which is actually an umbrella term used for dogs like the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Due to their history of participating in bull baiting and ratting, where the dogs were bred to attack, people have labeled them as aggressive dogs and believe that no matter the dog, it will be dangerous simply because of its breed. However, just like humans, the temperament of the dog depends on how it was raised. With... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A big factor in severity of the patient and how they should be treated will be the level of dehydration, which effects the body in many ways. Vomiting and diarrhea cause a number of changes to the body. With the loss of stomach contents, we also see a loss of Hydrochloric Acid (HCl), which in turn contributes to the loss of potassium, or hypokalemia, and loss of sodium, or hyponatremia. The kidneys begin to retain any sodium that is in the collecting ducts by sacrificing hydrogen ions. This helps to prevent loss of potassium by halting the sodium/potassium pump and leads to Metabolic Alkalosis. The loss

Product Description Of Rat And Monkey Based Experiments Essay Adipotide: Product Description Adipotide is a synthetic peptide that possesses anti obesity properties. this peptide particularly targets and destroys specific proteins that constitute the surface of blood vessels that support white fat (adipose) tissue hence interfering with the supply of blood to the fat cells and resulting in their adoptosis (reabsorption and metabolization). Adipotide was initially referred to as Prohibitin TP01 (Prohibitin Targeting Peptide 1). It is a peptidomimetic that was synthesized by American scientists as a potential therapeutic drug for obesity and its amino acid sequence is CKGGRAKDC GG D(KLAKLAK)2. Adipotide has a molecular formula of C111H204N36O28S2. Peptidomimetics are tiny protein like chains that imitate peptides. It is an experimental drug for weight loss. It was developed in a way that enables it to bind to two receptors, prohibitin and ANXA2 which are found in blood vessels that support white adipose tissue. In rat and monkey based experiments, Adipotide has been shown to bring about rapid weight loss in both mice and rhesus monkeys. In general, Adipotide has been observed to bring about weight loss by reducing fat tissue especially in the abdominal region), rapid metabolic changes, and decreased food intake. The capitalistic nature of society evolves from the Puritans. The Protestant Ethic was a dominant and established concept within their culture before the labeling of capitalism as an order was put into practice. This ethic found it morally permissible to obtain wealth for God, but not for flesh and sin (Weber, pg 435). The obedient Christians would drive for the opportunity to gain profit to fulfill their calling and be a steward for the Lord. Obtaining wealth as a result of temptation to idleness and sinful enjoyment of life (Weber, pg 435) and living without careful though was seen negatively, but the acquisition of wealth in the view of performing your duty as a good Christian was encouraged. Not pursuing wealth by not expanding in your talent was seen as disrespectful to God s glory, principally in the form of begging. • 32. Cannibalism Is Taboo And A Violation Of The Law The film showcases cannibalism, which is taboo and a violation of the law. Cannibalism is generally frowned upon because it is not something that civilized societies engage in. Cannibalism is an action that is primitive and what wild animals do in order to survive. For humans to commit this atrocity, it signifies that we have not moved beyond our animal nature. Thus, cannibalism threatens the idea that we have evolved beyond this primitive behavior that separates us from wild animals. It violates the border between civilized and savage. When we see Leatherface and his family engage in cannibalism, we are repulsed that they could violate this taboo that is central to maintaining a civilized society. Additionally, cannibalism is taboo because it is like eating oneself. Kristeva (1982) writes, Fear of the uncontrollable generative mother repels me from the body; I give up cannibalism because abjection (of the mother) leads me toward respect for the body of the other, my fellow man, my brother. The maternal body is a reminder of the ties and dependence we had on our mothers. The fear of the mother s generative power makes her body and thus all other bodies abject and inedible. By not consuming the flesh of other humans, we are able to maintain our connections to other people. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre depicts more severe acts of violence on women than men, which may be explained by the abject. Creed (1986) suggests that the reason for significant bleeding in a slasher

For example, if there is no incentive to motivate landlords to upkeep their property and make it the best it can be, they will left their properties at the lowest manageable state they can get away. Rent ceiling laws are an example of how lack of motivation and incentives can discourage people from making sure their best work and resources go into their product or whatever they are doing. These laws impose limitations on the amount landlords can charge their tenants for staying in their properties. This causes the landlords to lose the amount of money they should have made on their property, and the landlords will not be motivated to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The obstacles landlords have to overcome causes them to lose their motivation to invest in rental properties and they instead flock towards other housing options to include condominiums, office towers, and hotels. In short, lack of motivation in exchange for more red tape causes investors and landlords to move towards more profitable options. This movement of money and resources tends to negatively impact people trying to find a place to live, most notably the poor. The National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) states that prospective customers must pay finder fees to find a rental property due to a presumably growing scarcity of available housing. As if this were not bad enough, in some communities rental properties are handed down to friends and family, so they never quite leave the market. In order to obtain housing, new consumers are forced to pay key money and other fees. These costs tend to impact young, single, and poor families the most. As if all of the more or less hidden fees were not bad enough, young, single, and poor families able to find a rental property are often discriminated against. Landlords tend to use factors such as income and credit history in determining who gets their rental property Richer families end up doing better with rent control laws because of this. Poorer people who make up a larger part of the population end up out of a house to live in. Some economists would argue the above mentioned examples of why rent control is harmful to

These surrealists of two amazing sculptures are Rene Magritte and Victor Brauner. Both of their artworks are located at The Menil Collection, Houston TX. These in the round sculptures are entitled Megalomania (La folie des grandeurs) and Sign (Signe). First, Rene Magritte s medium on his Megalomania masterpiece is bronze. It was sculpted in 1967, and the size of this artwork is 61 x 48 x 32 3/8 inches (Menil). Similarly, Victor Brauner s medium on his Sign artwork is gilded bronze. Moving to the cultural context of both artworks, both artists influences are tied back to their roots. Thus, Rene Magritte who was born in Belgium (Encyclopedia Britannica) has great influences of his mother. The sculpture of Megalomania is tied to his mother s influence, for it is representing a woman s body. Some of his artworks subjects are women. On the other hand, Victor Brauner was born in Romania. Brauner was active in an avant garde movement in Romania which deeply influences his artwork such as the Sign (Wikiart). The era or the time of creation of these artworks are not far distant from each other. The Megalomania was created in 1967, and the Sign was created in 1945. During those years, surrealism was then practiced by many artists. This movement was introduced in the 20th century, specifically in the early 1920s (surrealism.org). Based on my direct observation, both sculptures exemplify the era of surrealism. Thus, Magritte and Brauner at that time had to explore this form of art as well. Meanwhile, these two in the round sculptures have similarities and differences. The similarities of the two sculptures are the following: both medium are bronze, both artistic styles are surreal, both have smooth textures, both shapes show 3D aspects, and both artists

I also could be known to have an old soul, meaning that I don t agree with what a lot of people do in this generation, and I d rather have it be like old times, which is another point that can be found in my novel. I tend to use grade level vocabulary when I write almost everything, and people could also find evidence of that in my novel. Of course, this success was dependent on her ability and ambition to succeed in what is still considered in contemporary terms as being a male dominated area of profession. Because she had only received her Bachelor s degree, she was unable to receive tenure, and had to frequently change her places of work, and ultimately became tired of the process. • 44. William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar Antony s Funeral Oration in Julius Caesar, and Why It Wouldn t Stand in Court Circumstantial evidence is a very tricky thing. It may seem to point very straight to one thing, but if you shift your own point of view a little, you may find it pointing in an equally uncompromising manner to something entirely different. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. What does circumstantial evidencehave to do with a speech, you may ask? In a manner of speaking, everything, for the evidence maketh the speech. In William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar, a long winded Marc Antony had the wiles to manipulate a large plebian crowd to mutiny during Caesar s funeral, using only simple words that were cleverly twisted to prove his point. Before humans learned the concept of applying reasonable doubt to each and every scenario, Antony had a surefire way of winning over the citizens. But as we evolved and have become more knowledgeable, a speech like that would evoke demanding yells of, Where s the proof? As the gaping holes of logic are made clear in Antony s funeral oration, we begin to see what sorts of artifices made his speech so cunning; its use of circumstantial evidence applied in the correct context, its largely emotional pleas, and its desperate engagement of the citizens by telling them what they want to hear. In this way, Marc Antony is nothing more than a demagogue, and his respective speech is nothing more than a series of words that subject the plebian crowd to sheer demagoguery.
