work in my soul, which I do not understand. This quote from Mary Shelley s classic gothic novel
Frankenstein is very representative of the functional importance of gothic literature to humanity.
Gothic literature can be viewed as the dark side of the human soul, as good usually triumphs over
evil in storytelling; gothic literature is the release of all the darkness of the human experience
usually embodied in a character. When used to describe literature, the word gothic is defined as of

Fundamental right to vote or simply voting in elections forms the basis of democracy. Electronic
Voting Machine (EVM) is a simple electronic device used to record votes in place of ballot papers
and boxes which were used earlier in conventional voting system .With significant U.S. federal
funds we now have replaced the outdated punch card and mechanical voting systems, and are
adopting paperless electronic voting systems from a number of different vendors. My analysis
shows that this voting system is below the minimal security standards. Threats of computer viruses
or hacker orchestrated attacks are most commonly mentioned as problems that could compromise
an election and public confidence in electronic voting. Other potential technical problems or issues
include power outages or malfunctions in Internet connectivity as well as the possibility of servers
shutting down or crashing. The reliable recording and storage of votes is also an important
consideration, I conclude that this voting system is unsuitable for use in a general election. Any
paperless electronic voting system might suffer similar flaws, despite any certification it could
have otherwise received. I suggest that the best solutions are voting systems having a voter

Abstract
Purpose: We recently demonstrated that pathologic analysis of benign scrotal surgical specimens
may be unnecessarily increasing costs of patient care. Adult circumcision specimens may also
routinely be sent for pathological analysis even when penile cancer is not suspected, increasing
costs with little benefit. To assess the utility of foreskinpathology analysis, we evaluated the
outcomes and the costs of this practice in patients where penile cancer was not suspected.
Materials and Methods: All adult patients who underwent circumcision between January 2000 and
August 2013 at a single institution were evaluated by retrospective chart review. Cases of
suspected penile cancer (n=6) were excluded. We identified cases where foreskin specimens were
sent for pathological analysis and reviewed pathology reports. Our Department of Pathology
estimated the cost for evaluation of specimens at $311 per case.
Results: A total of 147 circumcisions were performed in patients with no suspicious findings.
Pathologic analysis was obtained in 69% (101/147) of the cases. Inflammation (58%) was the most
common finding. One unsuspected instance of squamous cell carcinoma (Tis) was identified in a
patient with HIV (1/147=0.7%). The overall cost of pathology analysis in this study was $31,411.
Conclusions: In individuals without predisposing immunodeficiency and where cancer was not
suspected, we found that pathology analysis of circumcision specimens identified no additional

Argentina had a great economic crisis since the end of 1998 until 2002. The country fell in a big
national and foreign debt in years before which caused big inflation. Governments were
changing a lot, and one of the tries to fix the problem was fixed exchange with the US dollar.
The IMF didn t recognize this as a mistake and continued to give loans to Argentina with this
strategy. The strategy was proven to be completely wrong later on. As per IMF (2004), IMF
surveillance failed to highlight the growing vulnerabilities in the authorities choice of policies and
the IMF erred by supporting inadequate policies too long (Telegraph, p3). In simple words, IMF
was giving the moneyand advising in a completely wrong matter, and finally, dooming the country
to a complete disaster. No need to say, that the money had to be returned, with interest of course. As
a matter of fact, no discounts were given to Argentina for any of the loans. The country fell in a
huge crisis. The peso, currency of Argentina became so strong that export was greatly minimized.
Inflationwas rising, companies were shutting down. The IMF was demanding that country start
cutting down the budget expenses and start saving money. The government started lowering the
salary and removing the retirement benefits, which resulted in huge demonstrations and later on
riots. Aftermath were several changes of government. Banks were closed, population slipped into
complete poverty. Eventually, they decided to part ways with US dollar, and their fixed exchange.
Economy starting getting better, and foreign trade started functioning much better. A lot of
