how to deter the child from the same action without letting them get away with too

boundaries for him while playing outside which leads to hurting another child, the

who are ahead of their times, Gerard Manley Hopkins was torn by contradictions and

Some of the recurrent themes and motifs in Hopkins poetry include the idea that the
world resembles a book written by God, through which he expresses himself in order
to provide humans with an opportunity to understand and approach him (Gardner
11). In God s Grandeur Hopkins can be seen to express his concern about the
spiritual crisis of the Victorian period. During this time of urbanization and
industrialization, Hopkins voiced his distress about human indifference to

The form of God s Grandeur is an Italian sonnet, but with some alteration. Even
though Hopkins does not use sprung rhythm here, he varies his sonnet structure from

(8 lines) and 1 sestet (6 lines). In God s Grandeur a similar pattern is followed,
however, Hopkins presents a technique he often employs in other works as well, that
of using the octet to present a personal or a sensory experience and the octet in order
to provide some reflection on the topic (Gardner 221).
God s Grandeur paints a poignant image of the destructiveness of contemporary
human life, in particular, in the second quatrain. The second quatrain also presents a

As we all know, the body goes through many changes as it ages. One of these
changes is related to the thyroid gland and its functions. The thyroid gland in the
elderly will atrophy causing changes in its hormone production. According to an
article by Makin, V., 2015, Thyroiddisorders affect more than 10 percent of patients
over the age of 80. About 1.3 percent of those over age 65 developed overt
hyperthyroidism with suppressed pituitary thyrotropin (TSH) and elevated free T3/T4
levels, and about 2.1 percent develop subclinical hyperthyroidism (SH). Even though
thyroid disorders can be common among the elderly, it is still hard to diagnose and
treat because of its uncharacteristic presentations and the presence of other conditions
that the patient may have. The diagnosis of hyperthyroidism is often overlooked and
is less common in the geriatric population than other thyroid conditions. To inquire
about the diagnosis of Hyperthyroidism in the geriatric population a real case of a 70
year old female patient was selected from the Internal Medicine department of the
University of Miami. To further evaluate, patient history of abnormality, the physical
assessment that led to the identification of the abnormality, examination technique
used, and possible expected laboratory findings and interpretations will be discussed
through this presentation.

methodologies, and I have found that the general feeling is that Agile although not
perfect tends to provide better results in software development projects than
waterfall and other methodologies. People tend to be very opinionated about it, and
in my experience there three dominant positions about Agile: you either love it, hate
it or you don t care, in other words, you do not believe in methodologies at all, you
think they are all a waste of time and effort.
I can see where the different of views come from, and in my experience I have been
successful working with Agile, specifically Scrum, in software projects, but ... Show

Yes, we did have problems too, customers with bugs and we also fell behind on the
schedule sometimes. But applying Scrum correctly has allowed us to be informed,
committed and react quickly to those issues. Everybody in the team is in sync and
knows what to expect, stakeholders feel informed and involved, and you can
measure progress and forecast releases with a certain degree of certainty. All this
with what I would consider very little friction, bureaucracy and with what I would
consider a short learning curve, especially compared to other methodologies and
frameworks such as Rational Unified Process (RUP).
Agile, Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies are not necessarily perfect nor
complete, but they may be a good match, especially if you are running a software
project. To be honest, after years writing critical path method (CPM) / Gantt based
project management software, I can see that there is a value for every methodology
and it depends heavily on the characteristics of the project, and I think you can apply
Agile methodologies to projects outside the software and IT industry. The Kanban
