seems to all be positive, I do not believe that it was not to the necessary level to show that there
would be juror prejudice. Due to all of these reasons, I do not believe that the district court made
any errors by denying Skilling s request for a venue change.

The next layer is mechanical includes gates, doors, and locks. Control of the locks becomes a
problem with large user populations and large user turnover. The use of keys can quickly become

In Italo Calvino s The Baron in the Trees, a boy rebels against his father by climbing up trees,
where he spends the rest of his life on, without ever touching the ground again. The philosophical
residue is the idea that reason advances the human knowledge, which is a powerful influence to
individuals, making people seek for it through books and logic. Accordingly, it is necessary for the
improvement of society that it should govern people with justice and reason, not through sovereign
authorities.
The narrator is the protagonist s brother, Biagio, who is telling the story from his perspective and
from what he has heard from his brother. The protagonist, Cosimo, and Biagio are the sons of the
Baron, the Duke of Ombrosa. Their mother, the Generalessa, is the daughter of a famous general.
Their sister, Battista, likes cooking gruesome food with varieties of animals inside and feeding it
to the family. Therefore, to protest, Cosimo and Biagio releases the snails that Battista was
planning to use. Their father punishes them and locks them up for 3 days. After they are let out,
Battista prepares them a meal with snail, which the father threatens them to eat. Cosimo refuses
and climbs up a tree, where he proclaims that he will never come down again (13). As the family
ignores Cosimo, believing that he will eventually come back down, Cosimo climbs into his

Why I Became A Gang Member
Before I was a mathematics major, a tutor in college for math and physics, or even a high school
graduate, I was a gang member. I belonged to a local street gang in my community since the age
of fifteen. I have survived, seen, and done things that people only see in movies. I got involved
with gangs at the young age of eleven. Growing up in my neighborhood I didn t really have a
choice I got raised into it, I became a product of my environment influenced by the streets.
At school in the classroom I was always a very intelligent person, a 4.0 student. However, during
lunch time and after school I was a gang leader. My teachers knew it and never could understand
why. They tried to give me advise but I never listened to anyone. I myself did not understand why I
was a gang member. All I knew was people respected me and I was no longer a nerd people picked
on.
I was known to be a violent and aggressive person, always looking for a fight in school. I felt
invisible with my reputation people knew I knew how to box and wouldn t mess with me. Along
with the fellow gang members when I spoke they listened and no one was of the contrary. At
home however, I was not of charge. My mom always seemed to be mad so I disliked to be home, I
instead roamed the streets witch had made me the alpha.

I never really knew my grandpa as well as I would have liked. He was already an old, old man by
the time I started high school, and my own memories of him are mostly of a man confined by

The lands of Canada are vast and spread for thousands of miles touching two seas. The
government of Canada was set in the East in Ontario and could only reach so far. When British
Columbia joined confederation in 1871 it posed an issue to the government of Canada, the West
coast was too far away to easily control. As a solution to this the Canadian government created
the Northwest Mounted Police (NWMP), a group of officers who had jurisdiction on the West
coast. The NWMP were successfully able to stop and prevent the illegal whiskey trade plaguing
the West, prevented the annexation of Canada s western land, and most of all brough law and
order to the lawlessness that existed in the West. These brave men made the West a safer place for

One thing the American people wanted was more land. Moving North into Canada would be easy
enough to take. The lack of defense may have been enough for the American government to move
North until the NWMP arrived. Word of the NWMP and their deeds had already made its way to
the ears of Americans and the raw efficiency of the NWMP discouraged any outlaws thinking they
could go North. With troops now holding the fort in the Northwest Americans did not want conflict
and felt that going North would not be their best option. If the Americans did go North they would
be met with resistance from the NWMP and any other soldiers sent by the Canadian government to

so true with the Puritans, whose life was governed by their religious principles. It is crucial to
