Abstract
A new method for improvement of 1,2-indandione-treated latent fingermarks on thermal paper will be described in this paper. Treatment with conventional techniques like ninhydrin in petroleum ether or DFO solution produces a black color on the thermosensitive side of thermal paper. The new method using 5,6-dimethoxy-1,2-indandione with polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) can reduce this dark staining without removing the thermosensitive layer and parts of the developed fingermarks. An advantage of this method is that the developed fluorescent fingermarks appear in sharp lines and high contrast . The developed fingermarks can be observed when excited in the 535 nm region and using an orange-red goggles. There is no background coloration in this method. In addition, some tests were performed, leading to an optimized working solution, which charges the paper with a minimum of chemicals, is cheap, and enables a large quantity of papers to be treated in a short time and without involving any pre- or post treatment.

As the luminescence industry develops, the white light light-emitting diode (LED) package with a single chip and a single phosphor although produces good luminous flux but has a poor color rendering index (CRI) can no longer fulfill the requirements of modern lighting applications. Therefore, this research is conducted to response to the urgent demands of improving other lighting qualities of WLED while maintaining high luminous efficiency. To achieve this target, we applied the new WLED package, which contains multi-chips and multi-phosphor layers, and have obtained outstanding results in both CRI and luminous efficacy. Two types of phosphor used in the WLED package are Y 2 O 3 :Ho 3+ and ZnO:Bi 3+ . A color configuration model is also developed to adjust the shading of the white-light LED module. The results of this research show that the triple-layer phosphorhas the best performance when applied in a white-light LED package, which is demonstrated through better color quality, CRI and luminous efficacy. The manufacturers can rely on this research to produce the optimal-quality WLED, or WLED that is appropriate to their quality demands.

The document discusses two influential artworks: J.M.W. Turner's "The Slave Ship" and Claude Monet's "Impression, Sunrise". Both works were revolutionary for their use of color and depiction of movement. While "The Slave Ship" exemplified Romantic style through its sublime portrayal of a ship at sea, "Impression, Sunrise" marked the beginning of Impressionism with its focus on light, color and fleeting moments. Though different in style, the works had in common their innovative approaches that expanded viewers' understanding of art.

Essay On Indian Economy
1. Essay On Indian Economy
Writing an essay on the Indian economy can be a challenging task due to the vast and intricate
nature of the subject. The Indian economy is multifaceted, encompassing various sectors such as
agriculture, industry, and services. Moreover, it undergoes constant changes, influenced by both
domestic and global factors.
To create a comprehensive essay, one must delve into economic theories, historical perspectives,
and current trends. Analyzing the impact of government policies, international trade, inflation,
and employment rates adds complexity to the task. Understanding the socio-economic dynamics,
regional variations, and the role of technology further contributes to the complexity.
Moreover, the availability and interpretation of data can pose a challenge. Economic indicators
and statistics may change rapidly, requiring constant updates to maintain relevance. Accurate
information is crucial for constructing a well-informed essay, but the dynamic nature of the
Indian economy makes this a continuous effort.
Crafting a coherent and engaging narrative while presenting economic concepts in a reader-
friendly manner is another hurdle. Striking a balance between depth and simplicity is essential to
cater to a diverse audience. The ability to critically analyze economic issues, offer insights, and
present well-supported arguments is paramount.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the Indian economy demands a comprehensive understanding
of economic principles, a grasp of historical and contemporary contexts, and the ability to
navigate a continuously evolving landscape. It requires research, critical thinking, and effective
communication skills to present a well-rounded perspective. Despite the challenges, exploring
and articulating the complexities of the Indian economy can be a rewarding intellectual exercise.

2. Membranes Case Study
GO has also been mixed with the polymeric matrix to fabricate different
nanocomposite membranes, such as polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) MF/UF
[141,224,225], polyether sulfone (PES) NF membranes [226] and PSf [162]. One of
the main drawbacks of the blending technique is the absence of GO direct exposure
to foulants, which restricts the interaction between foulants and GO. Accordingly, the
superior GO features, in terms of antifouling, will not be entirely exploited. The direct
deposition of GO nanosheets on the membrane surface is a more effective technique
for fouling control, hence the GO/foulants interaction can be maximized. The
exceptional structure of GO confers a considerably greater contact area for the
convenient interaction... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The employment of GO leads to the production of small, uniform, stable and
distributed AgNPs in addition to improved silver loading and ion release control.
Several applicable and effective techniques for the fabrication of freestanding
ultrathin rGO membranes were reported. One of these techniques was exemplified
by Liu et al [220], in which a reinforced GO membrane was shaped on a mixed
cellulose ester (MCE) filter through the filteration of diluted GO dispersion. The
formed GO/MCE membrane was then positioned over a hydriodic acid solution,
where the GO membrane rapidly changed to a black colour, confirming the
reduction of GO to rGO by the acid vapour. Furthermore, a new water filtration
membrane was fabricated by LbL SA as it is an effective method to generate dense
layers on a membrane support [229]. This method was successfully used to
integrate the negatively charged GO nanosheets with a porous poly(acrylonitrile)
(PAN) support through the positively charged poly (allylamine hydrochloride)
(PAH) by electrostatic interaction [211]. Additionally, GO based FO membranes
were fabricated in several studies. The first trial was conducted by Park et al [222],
in which GO nanosheets were combined with the PSf to produce a novel membrane
with a PSf/GO composite support layer. The PA active layer was then shaped on the
PSf/GO via IP to obtain the
3. Locating The Xhoi Recognition Site On Lambda Dna Using
Locating the XhoI Recognition Site on Lambda DNA Using a HindIII and XhoI
double digest
Haleigh Wood
Abstract
Restriction enzymes cut DNA at certain sites to create multiple DNA fragments.
Restriction enzyme HindIII has known DNA fragment lengths and recognition sites
when digesting lambda DNA, while the lambda DNA recognition site for restriction
enzyme XhoI is unknown. The goal of this study is to determine the lambda
recognition site of XhoI by comparing a HindIII digest and a HindIII and XhoI
double digest on an electrophoresis gel. The HindIII digest had a band at 9.4 kb, but
this band was not visible in the double digest, therefore we concluded the recognition
site for XhoI was around 9.4kb. There were also two additional DNA ... Show more

XhoI is a type I restriction enzyme, so the location of the recognition site on
lambda DNA is unknown but it is known that it cleaves at CTCGAG sites (XhoI
(10u/ul)). While the DNA fragment lengths and cleavage sites are known for
HindIII lambda DNA digest, they are not known for a XhoI lambda DNA digest.
The goal of this study is to determine the recognition site of XhoI on lambda DNA
by comparing the DNA fragments from a HindIII digest to the DNA fragments of
a HindIII and XhoI digest. We will do this by creating a mixture of solutions
containing only DNA, DNA and HindIII, DNA and XhoI, and DNA, HindIII and
XhoI. We will then run a gel electrophoresis, which will separate the DNA,
fragments by size and we will compare the DNA fragments from each solution.
Through comparing the DNA fragments from the HindIII digest and the HindIII and
XhoI double digest, we will be able to determine the XhoI recognition site on the
lambda DNA.
Methods
Preparation of restriction digest solutions:
To begin the process to determine the XhoI recognition site in the lamda DNA
fragment we first prepared 4 tubes of solutions containing 10X Optizyme reaction
buffer, sterile water, lambda DNA (0.3 ug/ul), XhoI (10u/ul, 3000u), and HindIII
(10u/ul, 7500ul). Tube 1 contained 2ul 10X Optizyme, 16ul sterile water, and 2ul
lambda DNA. Tube 2 contained 2ul 10X Optizyme, 14ul sterile water, 2ul lambda
DNA, and 2ul XhoI. Tube 3 contained 2ul 10X Optizyme, 14ul sterile water, 2ul
4. Thiosulfate And Iodine Reaction Lab Report
In general, this experiment was able to accomplish and establish the rates at which
persulfate ions are able to oxidize iodine ions. The reaction between thiosulfate and
iodine is known to be rapid, unless there is a sufficient amount of thiosulfate present
for the iodine to react with. When thiosulfate is reacting with iodine, the solution will
remain colourless, until all the thiosulfate is used up. After a short while, the clear
solution will turn into a deep blue when iodine binds to starch. This process allows
the rate of reaction to be determined for the persulfate reaction, when the ability to
record time is accurate.

reactants. In order to do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, the reaction orders remain valid. Next the value of О”S2O8 2 was retrieved
by dividing [S2O3 2] by 2, which was concluded to be 9.1x10 4 mol/L. Using the
О”S2O8 2 and the time it took for the reaction to complete, the rate was determined.
For trial 1, the rate of reaction was 1.61x10 5 mol L 1 s 1, k was 0.167 mol2 L2 s 1
and the ionic strength was 0.2362 mol L 1 s 1. For this reaction no electrolytes were
added to speed up the reaction. The reaction run for 1 can be considered as the model
reaction for this experiment, since other substances were not added in. For trial 2, the
rate was 7.95x10 6 mol L 1 s 1, k was 0.331 mol2 L2 s 1, and the ionic strength was
0.1327 mol L 1 s 1. In this trial, the concentration of [S2O8 2] was reduced, while
(NH4)2SO4 was added. The electrolytes from (NH4)2SO4 were able to diffuse, and
replenish the reaction s ionic strength. Thus, the k value was higher and the reaction
was quick. For the third trial, the rate of reaction was 1.83x10 6 mol L 1 s 1, k was
0.305 mol2 L2 s 1, and the ionic strength was 0.1055 mol L 1 s 1. The concentration
of S2O8 2 is Вј of trial 1, thus the rate of the reaction also decreased, and the overall
reaction took longer to finish. For the fourth
5. Symbolism In The Possibility Of Evil
A Thought of Pure Evil Imagine having to hide a secret for many years, only to
realize that it will soon be revealed. The Possibility of Evil is a short story written
by Shirley Jackson. When an old lady goes to her local post office to deliver the
secret letters she has been writing for years, she accidently drops a letter and her
covert is revealed. Miss Strangeworth seems like the kindest lady in town, but after
one of neighbors discovers her secret, the entire village realizes that Miss
Strangeworth is not who she says to be. The Possibility of Evil uses components
such as written letters, Miss Strangeworth and roses to symbolise Adela s character
and her intentions. The letters Adela sends to her neighbors symbolise evil and they

The roses in her garden symbolise Miss Strangeworth s character and reveal that
appearance can be deceiving. The author writes, Tourists who sometimes passed
through the town stopped to admire Miss Strangeworth s roses... My grandmother
planted these roses, and my mother tended them, just as I do. Miss Strangeworth
never gave away any of her roses, although the tourists often asked her (Jackson
249 250). Miss Strangeworth believes that it is important for her roses to stay on
Pleasant street. She is very similar to the roses and the roses reflect her character.
Miss Strangeworth s outside demeanor can be compared to the beauty of the roses,
but her thoughts and feelings compare to the thorns. For example, the townspeople
recognize her as an elegant old lady with pretty dimples and her dainty walk.
However, they do not know that she writes evil letters and masks a petty spirit
behind her sophisticated manner. The roses are a significant part of the story
because they reflect Adela s character and show that Miss Strangeworth s appearance
is deceiving. Miss Strangeworth is very much like the roses in her garden, they both
appear kind and charming, but their inner beauty is not the
6. All The Shah s Men Summary
This book, All the Shah s Men, is written like an exciting spy novel explaining the
Central Intelligence Agency s coup in 1953, for an American attack on Iran. The
book begins by explaining how Reza Shah signed an agreement to sell Iranian oil
release rights to the Anglo Iranian Oil Company. In 1950, Iranviolated the agreement
by scheming to take the oil assets that were created by Great Britain. Thus, causing
the British to barricade the Persian Gulf, stopping the trade in Iran and seriously
damaging their economy. Worried that Iran was collaborating with the Soviet Union
concerning the oil issue against Great Britain, Mosssadegh was overthrown by
President Eisenhower and Churchill. Stephan Kinzer argues that if Iran s prime

The Preface to the 2008 Edition: The Folly of Attacking Iran , highlights the
decades that have followed the coup and reasons for the United States attacking
Iran. It concludes by introducing the idea that Operation Ajax, which was the code
name of this operation, brought tragedy to Iran, which led to the rise of anti
American terror, and weakened the security of the United States. The author
explains how most Americans are unfamiliar with the history of what the CIA did
in Iran in 1953 and the reason why the country had such hatred for America
following the hostage crisis in 1979. The chapters begin with a clear overview of
Iranian history and ends with explaining the effects of the countries because of the
coup. This book is written like a thrilling story rather than a history book, which
makes the information easier to comprehend, for those uneducated about the topic.
In the epilogue, Kinzer writes in first person about how he took a trip to Iran
looking for traces of Mohammad Mossadegh. There are very detailed endnotes
with a list of sources broken down into each chapter. The sources are detailed and
come from a wide range of resources, most of which are very credible. Some
examples include, books, telegrams, oral and written interviews, and CIA reports.
This well organized and informative novel allows for the reader to gain more
knowledge about the topic, while

Films are often connected by the shared use of common universal themes. This
element of cinema allows for deep analysis of films and lessons one can gain from
the entertaining pastime of movies. The well known 1982 films Conan The
Barbarian written by John Milius and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior directed by
George Miller, share many concepts that fall under the themes of masculinity and
heroes, but also differ greatly in the theme revolving around power. The theme of
masculinity in both Conan The Barbarian and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior play
a significant role in these films. The main actors in these movies, one of Hollywood

Similar to how girls in their teen years and twenties dream to look like the bikini
model in magazines, men look at Arnold Schwarzenegger and Mel Gibson in
Conan The Barbarian and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior in hopes they could be as
tough and manly as the two stars of these films. For example, the scene where
Conan and his ally invade Tulsa s palace and defeat his army to rescue the princess
(Conan The Barbarian) is directed to the male gaze as the masculine action of this
scene is more appealing to the male gender. Similar, the scene where Max fights
through his injuries and leads the pure faction to freedom, fighting off the
scavengers almost single handedly (Mad Max), strongly attracts the male gaze as it
has very masculine actions that the male gender wishes they could accomplish. The
shared theme of masculinity attracts both the female and male gaze in both Conan
The Barbarian and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior by utilizing the masculine
appearances for the female gaze and the masculine actions for the male gaze.
Relating to the shared theme of masculinity in these films, the theme of heroes plays
a large role in both Conan The Barbarian and Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior.
According to Sara MartГn Alegre in her research regarding masculinity in
Hollywood she wrote, As for his impressive physical appearance, the particularity is
that Schwarzenegger has used it to play . . . heroes (88). The impressive physical

George Berkeley (1685 1753) is a very famous 18th Century philosopher from
Ireland. Berkeley is most famous work was for coming up with the view point
Esse Est Percipi , or to be is to be perceived. Based on Berkeley s findings, an idea
must be thought of or perceived in order to exist at all. And if everything in the
world (aside from minds) is made of ideas, then the existence of things, depends on
there being someone who perceives them. When you perceive a purple crayon,
according to many philosophers in the early modern period, you are in possession of
a representational state which in other words means that my mindis affected by a

in your mind to be able to recognize it, and when you see the ball you are simply

Now to get to the persistence and regularity. Berkeley explains this opinion of
persistence and regularity by using the infamous God. He says that all of our ideas
are the product of the crazy ideas of the infinite mind, which is from his view God s
mind. To make it easier to understand Based on George Berkeley, all ideas are
transferred from God s mind to our minds, and directly upon seeing a familiar idea
(like your face in the mirror), the regularity is due to God. Plain and simple, God is

Christian Influence in Italian Culture
Things are not always what they appear to be. When one talks about the influence of
religion in a culture, the person must carefully define what they mean by religion .
Many times when things are done in the name of Christianity, there are other factors
that shape those events. The Crusades could be considered an object of Christian
influence, but most would agree that the bloodshed that took place does not
complement the message of that religion. Regardless, despite the gray area that exists
when one talks about the influence of a religion, an influence still exists. The
evidence of Christianity s influence on a society can be seen almost anywhere. This

add the ingredients of their favorite recipes. You can use this list every week and
keep adding to it as you learn about new foods and recipes. 2. Keep the list handy

Culture, writing, and language are expressions of history, but what we choose to
convey to our students through these methods is what lives on for the future. The
involvement of funneling history because of the stigma behind a figure or movement
should be called into question. Unfortunately, this detrimental activity has been
occurring in our school system, and the most prominent figure affected by this
restraint is Malcolm X. El Hajj Malik el Shabazz, commonly referred to as Malcolm
X, is falsely associated with violence, hatred, and radicalism. Although he was a deep

This ignorance is very dangerous as it often leads to resurrections of certain negative
situations. For instance, forgetting about important figures, such as Malcolm X,
leads to a loss of the empowerment and pride he gave colored people in America.
Without acknowledgment for his achievements and life efforts, the milestones that
he surpassed are of no significance. The systematic halt of his progress will curtail
society s renewed visions of peace and equality. Therefore, it is important that his
beliefs, no matter their societal connotations, are taught in schools so children can
have an understanding of his message and his impact towards society in the 1900s
until now. Ironically, the defense for those who incorrectly believe that Malcolm X
should not be discussed amongst children is that he preached violence and
discrimination, but simultaneously, school systems teach about figures responsible
for mass genocide, like Adolf Hitler, at a young age. However, the comparison
between violent figures and Malcolm X does not denote the common opinion that

13. The Benefitions Of Hard Work In My Life
As a young child, my Mother always would tell me; If you want something work
hard for it. It s that simple. That saying was constantly being stated around the
house when my brother or I would want to achieve a certain goal in school, sports
or anything. This saying has transformed me over the years into the hard worker
that I am to this day. Throughout my life coaches, family, and teachers regularly
told me to work hard and give 100% effort no matter what and I will succeed. The
characteristic of hard working and constantly giving outstanding effort describes
me as a person immensely because I consistently strive to achieve my goals. Ever
since the age of ten, my Mother told me do chores if I wanted extra money in order
to buy anything my little ten year old heart desired. She composed a chore list and
pinned it to the fridge for me to earn a little money, but only if I did the task the
best I could. Although somehow my Mother can always tell when my brother or I
aren t giving our full potential. How? I am still unsure to this day, but we never
wanted the repercussions that came if one of us got caught slacking. Despite
giving 100% effort and completing the chores the best I could for money seemed
great, I happened to have what seemed to be a mile long chore list. Overtime out of
all my chores, I realized that my main income from ages ten to fourteen involved
scooping up the dog poop in our backyard for a dollar per pile. Despite the gross
appeal, picked up the dog s poop happened to become a steady income rapidly.
Everyday after school I made sure the yard was spotless so I could earn my money.
As years went on, I stopped getting paid to do household chores and they quickly
became an expectation since I live there. With no longer getting paid to do chores I
would soon have to get a job. Eventually I got a job, it was this past summer, I
helped bail hay for my uncle and helping out on his farm when needed. I made sure
I was constantly giving a 100% effort to get that job done because that s what my
Mother taught me to do. Since I was consistently hard working, he knew he could
rely on me. Although a household chore and a real job may seem different, I feel
that I should work hard on any chore or job no
14. Symbolism Of Power In William Golding s Lord Of The
Flies
Trace Draper
Ms. Tantlinger
Honors English 10

Power can be used for the greater good, or power can be used to advance personal
agenda As Golding s Lord of the Flies develops, power does also. When a group of
boys are stranded on an island, the boys power shifts dramatically. The boys fight for
power and savagery increases as the time on the island increases. The island was split
into groups due to Jacks fiend for power, this was the cause of all evil on the island.
Power on the island causes murder and great destruction. The conch is a symbol
for power and order, and Ralph controls the privilege of holding the power. When
Jack s character is introduced in chapter 2 he is already fighting for the power of
the conch with Ralph. The conches role was very significant in early chapters to
keep the boys on the same page but the power of the conch was quickly lost to
Jacks uprising. Jack s power takes over him and turns him into a savage creating
destruction to the whole island. They painted their faces like savages (Golding
163). Jacks way of proving himself to the rest of the island was to kill the pig. He
did this not for the food but to show his dominance. Power later leads to destruction
when Jack and his tribe kills Simon. Simon s role on the island was almost a
spiritual figure to Ralph. He was able to inform Ralph many things about the island
and how it could affect the group of boys. Jack had no remorse after the killing and
made it seem
15. John Dunne And George Herbert
Throughout the history of metaphysical poetry, poems that were characterized by
their speculation about topics such as love or religion, John Dunne and George
Herbert have been known to be two of the most prominent. Despite having
different styles, there are certain aspects of their poetry, which is very similar. Both
reflect their emotions into the meter, rhyme scheme and rhythm of their poems,
thus creating a more established meaning of their work. Good examples of this are
Dunne s Batter My Heart and Herbert s The Collar, as both have very similar
meanings. The narrators in both poems are struggling with their faith to God, but
even though their individual conflicts are different, they finish by submitting to
God in a certain way, Herbert s more than Donne s. At the start of Donne s Batter
My Heart, the persona declares his need and desire to be made new by God, bend
your force to break, blow, burn and make me new , despite knowing he must be
completely destroyed to be made new, shown by the tri colon of aggressive verbs.
Donne s passion to his subject is shown in the next metaphor as he describes his
barbaric sin as if he were a usurped town, to another due and betrothed unto your
enemy , both of these also show reference to Satan, Gods enemy. The narrator
accepts his craving for God s redemption so he asks him to divorce me, untie or
break that know again , the use of another tri colon, except this time of marriage
references, places emphasis on his closeness
16. Ethics And Morals Are Profoundly Linked Essay
Some may consider the answer to this dilemma is dependent on one s personal
perspective: either the company relinquishes all responsibility upon completion of the
sales transaction with the buyer or else the company will always maintain some level
of ethical obligation since it introduced the device to society. A justified answer is
predicated on the operational definition of this philosophical concept. Ethical
responsibility is the norms and expectations of stakeholders and shareholders
concerning a moral sense of honesty and fairness beyond legal requirements and time
constraints (Zuba Ciszewska, 2016). Ethicsand morals are profoundly linked. Based
on Manuel Velasquez s (chair of the Santa Clara University Management Department)
assessment, moral responsibility is contingent on obligation, duty, or culpability and
exists when an agent or party knowingly causes harm that could have been
prevented (Federwisch, 2015). Ziegler (2016) stated morality is subject to the moral
norms of a prescribed situation that is based on value judgments. Although these
delineations are vague, moral and ethical dilemmas can be circumstantial. For
instance, consider the act of stealing food. It is a sin and a crime, but when
considered in the context of a father stealing food for his starving children because he
cannot work abates adverse judgment.
While ethical responsibility may be an individual philosophical mantra, corporate
society began to address this concern in the early 1900 s with the
17. Hispanic Heritage-Heritage Month Reflection
On September 15 I went to La Bienvenida that was held on campus, in the Peace
Garden. Before this year, I have never heard of Hispanic heritage month and no one
meant it in my high school. The only time I heard about a group of being recognized
in a month is African Americans. This is commonly known as black history month,
or also known as African American history month, is widely recognized and
acknowledged. This is taken in February to remember important people and event
that happened in history. Reflecting back, I ask myself why Hispanic heritage month
was not meeting about in my history class or at school. Even though Hispanic
heritage month specifically was not mentioned, there was a day in my high school
where different ethnicity students went on stage and performed a cultural dance. One
of the most famous Mexican culture dance is Folklorico and it was a good feeling
seeing the Mexican cultural being represented.

18. Taking a Look at Marian Anderson
Successful classical soprano performer Leontyne Price was one of the first artists to
benefit from Marian Anderson s hard work and dedication. The day after Marian
Anderson s death, April 8th, 1993 Price discussed the ways in which Anderson was
able to overcome obstacles while remaining consistently professional and keeping the
high standards she set on her performances. Marian Andersonwas born on February
27, 1897. She was considered one of the most celebrated African American artists
of the twentieth century. Anderson identified herself as a contralto, which is the
lowest frequency female voice with in a choir. Although Anderson is classified as
a classical vocalist her repertoire included many genres such as opera, traditional
American songs, concert literature and spirituals. Her live performances spanned
the years of 1925 to 1965. The majority of her performances were recitals or
concerts, some of which took place within major venues. Through Anderson s
successful career she paved a path for many other African American vocal artists to
follow. This paper explores the ways in which Marian Anderson s career, from her
early beginnings, struggle for recognition, and worldwide acclaim shaped her identity
as a representation for African American vocalists after her to follow. Marian
Anderson was born in PhiladelphiaPennsylvania and spent the majority of her
childhood years in Philadelphia. Her parents were John Berkley Anderson, an

Eeyore figurines have brought color, decoration, and smiles to millions of people
around the world. These adorable works of art are by majority of the population
considered to bring happiness on many occasions. However, the stories and lives of
the people who have contributed to making the pieces of this figurine are
unfortunately not so pleasant. With that being said in this paper I would like to
address the history behind making these figurines, the companies that contribute to
the process, and hardships and cruelties that workers go through in order to create
something that brings so much joy and happiness to so many individuals. The Walt

20. Essay about The Role of Science, Ethics, and Faith in...
The Role of Science, Ethics, and Faith in Modern Philosophy
ABSTRACT: Curiously, in the late twentieth century, even agnostic cosmologists like
Stephen Hawking who is often compared with Einstein pose metascientific questions
concerning a Creator and the cosmos, which science per se is unable to answer.
Modern science of the brain, e.g. Roger Penrose s Shadows of the Mind (1994), is
only beginning to explore the relationship between the brain and the mind the
physiological and the epistemic. Galileo thought that God s two books Nature and the
Word cannot be in conflict, since both have a common author: God. This entails, inter
alia, that science and faith are to two roads to the Creator God. David Granby recalls
that once upon a time, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Paradoxically, the third model, which argues for a fusion or unity of science and
theology has naturalistic as well as theistic proponents. For naturalists like Willem
B. Drees, personal experiences, including religious experiences and consciousness,
are all part and parcel of nature (1996: 245). Hence, Drees concludes that the
distinction between personal and impersonal relations provides no basis for
distinguishing supernatural and natural phenomena (1996: 245). Naturalists like
Drees, then, consider religious beliefs and moral codes as products of evolution or
natural processes alone, which leave no room for a Creator, let alone a transcendent
God.
In contrast, theists like Phillip E. Johnson and Alvin Plantinga criticize the prevailing
scientific paradigm in the natural sciences for excluding questions concerning design,
purpose, value, First
Principles, and ultimately the Creator God. According to Johnson, the scientific
method or methodological naturalism leads imperceptibly to, and buttresses,
metaphysical naturalism that excludes the transcendent and God. For Johnson, this
reductionist methodology has impoverished science and led to a corrosive moral
/ethical relativism affecting social theory, law, and practice, since naturalistic
metaphysics leads inexorably to relativism in ethics and politics, even though many
naturalists dislike relativism and try hard

The results of this survey were meant to identify what made these individuals choose
their careers and how they pursued those career choices. As high school seniors, there
are many opportunities to pursue. I would like to highlight a field that I have found
interesting; the field of
Project Management.
What specifically does a Project Manager do? Emily Carr (2007), a design
professional, says this is hard question since the field of Project Management is most
often not clearly defined; however this is also what makes being a project manager
fun and exciting. (1) Choosing a career in Project Management can require an
educational background in business, information technology or both. One who is
seeking a career in this field should inherently possess, meaning qualities that one
already demonstrates, essential skills that will contribute to the success in project
management. Project Management is the ability to plan successfully, organize, and
manage resources to implement the completion of project goals and objectives. The
professional in charge of project management is called the Project Manager.
A project manager can be considered the project owner. A project can be anything
from designing a network for a software company, to the construction of a hospital.
The project manager is responsible for the inception, meaning the start of, to the
completion of each

Informative Speech Outline
Specific Purpose: At the end of my speech, my audience will have a better
understanding of EDM culture.
Thesis Statement: Electronic Dance Music is more than just bops and scratching
sounds; it s a way of life.
Introduction: (Play YouTube video from 1:38 1:58). What you just heard were the
sounds of EDM. EDM stands for electronic dance music. Also you saw first hand the
inside of a rave called Electric Daisy Carnival (a Las Vegas event famous for
finding yourself under the electric sky ). What rave culture means to me is a place I
can be myself and express my creativity in a judgment free environment. Today, I am
going to explain the history behind the top 3 most popular genres of EDM, and the
meaning behind rave culture.
I. The different types of EDM I will be talking about is Dubstep, House, and Trap
A. The first genre of music I will be talking about is Dubstep. 1. Dubstep originated
in South London, and traced back to the Jamaican sound system in early 1980 s. a.
This type of music played in secret underground clubs. This genre was taboo to
most people. 2. Dubstep was made popular in the United States by an artist named
Skrillex. a. The music website Allmusic classifies The overall sound of Dubstep is
classified as tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant
drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals (Bush 2012). (Insert sound

origination of house music in the United States began in Chicago s Southside in
1977. a. A new type of club created, given the name The Warehouse. 2. Frankie
Knuckles is, The Godfather of House. 3. Early DJ techniques seen in the The
Warehouse 4. House music was generally characterized by repetitive 4/4 beats,
rhythms mainly provided by drum machines, off beat hi hat cymbals, and
synthesized baselines (Cambell 2012). (insert sound clip here) C. The third and
final genre of music I will be talking about is Trap, my personal favorite. 1.
Originated from 1990 s Southern hip hop. Some elements used by artists like Outkast,

Theory of Supervision
Melany Zwilling
Eastern Illinois University Theory of Supervision Supervision is designed to facilitate
growth and learning among supervisees and supervisors through specified theoretical
framework and characteristics (Bernard Goodyear, 2014). A theory of supervision
incorporates multiple techniques, focus areas, and evaluation assessment tools to
integrate developmental advancement among practitioners (Tadlock Marlo, 2015).
Addressing supervisory roles, incorporating multiculturalism, and taking into account
developmental levels among clinicians are factors imperative to form a theory of
supervision to form a clinical baseline in supervision (Tadlock Marlo, 2015). An
analysis of clinical supervision, specifically tailored to Bernard and Goodyear s
discrimination model, will reveal multiple foci and supervisory roles with alterations
to fit desired counseling personhood. Additionally, multiculturalism, supervisory
relationships, and developmental stages will include specific framework influencing
factors of Bernard and Goodyear s discrimination model of supervision. Evaluative
components for supervisor and supervisee will address potential satisfaction to the
supervisory relationship.
Clinical Supervision Clinical supervision provides learning experiences devoted to

25. How Does Donald Duck Lose Your Personality
Have you ever watched a cartoon or a show or even a movie and you see yourself
in or through that character ? I recently found myself watching the movie Aladdin
with my little cousin. I saw how Jasmine stood up for the poor kids in the village
and also how she spoke her mind to her dad about who she had to marry. I saw how
we connected in some way and how I am a lot like her. There are other characters
who I am also like in other ways. The three fictional characters that most represent my
personality are Donald Duckfor his short temper, Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls
for her sweetness, and Jasmine from Aladdin for her way of standing up for what s
right and speaking her mind no matter who she is against. Although Donald is a
duck and a guy, we do have the common aspect of losing our temper after being
pushed to a certain point. In an episode on TV called Donald Duck cured duck,
Donald Duck loses his temper because he can t open the window and he starts
breaking plates and he even breaks through walls. Daisy Duckthen tells him she won
t go out on a date with him until he cures his temper. Donald Ducks temper makes
his friends not want to be around him. Although his friends tend to have patience
for him, in this episode Daisy Duck didn t and she refused to go out with him because
of his moodiness. Since Donald is very caring and doesn t want to lose his friends he
does what he can to keep his temper under control. Like Donald Duck, I do control
my temper, but after being pushed too far I tend to lose it. Although I do have a lot
of patience, when I do get pushed over the edge, I often get very moody. Usually
when this happens my family tries to leave me alone until I can calm down on my
own. For example, one day my parents and siblings had gone out to the store with my
dad s side of the family. That day I wasn t feeling very good so I was allowed to stay
at home, but since I am the only one that is good with children, they left all of their
kids for me to take care of. I ended up having to take care of four three year olds, two
five year olds, and two six month old babies. After a couple of hours I felt
overwhelmed and all the kids were driving me crazy so, I called my parents
screaming and yelling at them
26. Socrates Notion Of Ethical Obligation
Socrates was born in Athens, one of the most interesting and disturbing personalities
in all of Greek history. But, what is Socrates notion of conscience? Of ethical
obligation? How is Socrates notion related to his notion of rewards or punishment in
a text life? How is Socrates notion related to his notion of the truth? Does man owe a
duty to the truth in Socrateseyes? What did he mean when he said: the unexamined
life is not worth living ? We can see the answers in Apology that wrote by Plato.
Socrates advocated for himself that he just did everything he thought good, right to
men of Athens. He tried to demonstrate that he was not wisest man in Athens; that
people thought they know something when they do not know. Today, instead of that,
people try to get another way to get what they want; don t care about conscience.
Socrates also thought he had an ethical obligation to live with philosophy life and
exhorting people to care for the perfection of soul. He did his mission over and over
time; because he believed that his obligation; that he owed a duty to the truth. ... Show

28. Compare Antigone And Civil Disobedience
In both Letters from a Birmingham Jail and Antigone , Civil disobedience
becomes the answer to conflicts both fictional and in reality. Antigone and Martin
Luther King, Jr. are both icons for defying certain laws and people in charge in
attempts to fight for what they believe in. Although they both technically broke the
law to support a cause, Antigone and King had different approaches in doing so
and different goals. Antigone openly defied her leader in a direct way to accomplish
a singular goal, while King s defiance had a more complex goal in which his civil
disobediencewas only facet of. King s goal was unity and equality amongst people
while Antigone fought to bring honor to her brother. Also, the way in which they
perform the disobedience varies, the steps each one takes reflects their feelings
and the goals they were seeking. Between the two, I sympathize more with King,
as I feel his actions and goal was overall more noble and intricate. Despite the
difference in outcome, both Antigone s and king s goals were commendable and
both rebels payed the ultimate price for their deed. In both of these pieces of
literature, civil disobedience is seen as a necessary tactic for fighting for what one
believes is right and although different, Antigone and King inspire generations of
protests to this day.
In Sophocles Antigone, Antigone decides that her brother s honor is worth more
than her own life. She willingly sacrifices her life as well as the last bit of honor her

30. How Does Richard Wright Use Concrete Diction
Richard Wright s writing style from The Street reveals the changes in attitude
through the use of parallelism, concrete diction and conversational diction. In the
third paragraph, shortly after the narrator was being beat up twice, Wright writes: I
yelled, pleaded, kicked...they yanked me to my feet, gave me a few slaps, and sent
me home sobbing. The use of parallelism here indicates that the narrator s attitude is
weak due to words like, Pleaded, yelled, and sent me home sobbing and then later on
shifts to the narrator s new attitude (which would be aggressive) due to the last
paragraph where Wright writes: I fought to lay them low, to knock them cold, to kill
them... which would infer that the attitude changed from to aggressive.
31. The Twilight Sag Teenage, Vampire, Romance
Twilight Saga: Teenage, Vampire, Romance The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Myer
created a massive fan following that grew into a supernatural franchise. The story
of Bella and Edward was in the hands of countless teenagers and adults alike,
captivating audiences with the classic story of young love, but with a vampire twist.
The books were published starting when I was a young teenager, and I was not
immune to the charms of a sparkly vampire fighting his desire for lovefor the sake of
her safety. I religious read all four books, a few times, until the hard covers cracked
at the edges, and the open books fell open to my favorite parts from being opened
for so long. After the books created a sensation, a movie series was created. In a
non surprising fashion, the movies were popular, but as any book lover will tell
you about any movie made after a book, the book was better, way better. Reading
the story at the time, I ignored critics of the book, swearing by its love story and
defending the text as it stood in my world. Re reading this book as an adult who
has continued to read, I came to the realizations that my tastes have evolved over
time. I still enjoyed the story during my re read this past time, but the writing was
not as striking; gone was the passion and addiction so deep I could not set the books
down. The first time I read Breaking Dawn, I read it straight it twelve hours not
stopping for anything. I read from 7pm until 7am, this month reading Twilight, was

32. A Psychodynamic Treatment Approach Essay
Susanna would benefit most from a psychodynamic treatment approach, with a
specific emphasis on clarification, confrontation, and interpretation/transference
interpretation. As highlighted by McWilliams (1999), recurrent themes emerge
within the therapy which constitute the client s internal and external world. With this
in mind, Susanna s internal object relations would undoubtedly unfold in the
relationship with the therapist. As Susanna evidences a lack of insight, it will be the
therapist s responsibility to clarify Susanna s experiences for her. In this view,
clarification refers to the reformulation of the patient s verbalizations to convey a
more coherent view of what is being communicated. The therapist may want to clarify
what it was like in Susanna s household growing up, and gather further information
on Susanna s romantic relationships. Clarifying sentiments might include you stated
that at times you felt loved by your mother, and hated at other times, but overall do
you feel that your mother loves you? While this technique alone will not lead to
therapeutic change, it will be essential for helping Susanna develop a rapport with the
therapist, and establishing a therapeutic alliance. As borderline pathology is
characterized by negative affects, and impulsive, dangerous behavior, the therapist s
ability to keep Susanna in treatment will be essential. The therapist can do this by
presenting him/herself non judgmentally, as well showing Susanna that s/he is

What could be Done
Every day, every hour, every minute human trafficking is occurring with most
unaware of it. The article reporting Obama finally eliminating the loophole that
allowed imports to the United States that were produced by child or forced labour
does not solve the problem of human trafficking However, it is a step forward and
does help to draw attention to the unpleasant but urgent subject. Most are not aware
that the technology and objects they use everyday may have been made by children
forced to work. Just because it is not seen does not mean that it is not happening.

More organizations like the one that rescued Lakshmi could be made along with
campaigns and fundraisers to raise money. In the documentary Born into Brothels
children in Calcutta, who were from birth doomed to be in brothels, were given
cameras. The photos depicted life in the brothels through the children s eyes. The
woman who gave them the cameras, Zana Briski, worked to get the children out of
the brothels and into schools. Unfortunately, most the schools would not take the
children because of their backgrounds. There is nothing called hope in my future.
(Weiss) were the words of eleven year old Avijit Halder who was one of the
children born into the brothel. However, Halder is now a junior at New York
University and studying film. The documentary he was a part of turned his life
around and gave his future hope. Creating organizations and groups that raise
money to aid the children affected by sex trafficking could make an education
possible for them. Every person aware of brothels who are willing to assist the
children involved in achieving a better life can make a difference. The novel Sold
reveals that there are unthinkable exploits happening in foreign cultures that have
not had enough attention called to. Millions of children are victims of sex
trafficking with too many people unaware of how large of a problem brothels are.
Making organizations to spread awareness and give the children a better life will
make all the difference. With more children out of brothels and into schools they can
play a better role in society and have a higher quality of

agreements take many of these regulatory powers from state governments and open

criticism, particularly within the European Union, whose airlines would be at a
comparative disadvantage with the United States because of cabotage restrictions.

35. Pulaski County Water Supply
I conducted a survey of Pulaski county residents to get their opinion about the
Pulaski county water supply. The purpose of the survey is to get others viewpoint
of Pulaski County drinking water so that we can improve our waters system. In
the Article Arkansas Rivers is Too Polluted to Touch written on April 24, 2000, it
states The river is fairly clean as it flows into Wichita, but by the time it leaves the
city, the water is so dirty it is not safe for wading, fishing and touching, said Tom
Stiles, chief of the office of planning and prevention at the Kansas Department of
Health and Environment. The river also is not safe for canoeing, kayaking or
water skiing. Have Arkansas Rivers improved within 14 years? This question will
help us to see how far Arkansas Rivers have come since the year 2000. According
to Carl Safina in Song for the Blue Ocean he discussed how pollution can interfere
with not only wildlife and aquatic animals, but humans as well. Pollution can get into
our water system causing bacteria and diseases. These waters are the same that runs
in our faucets and pipelines. I will discuss resent studies of central Arkansas water
quality later in the survey report. Central Arkansas Water supplycomes from two
water sources surfaces, Lake Winona located in Saline County and Lake Maumelle
in the Pulaski County area. Both lakes supply water to Jackson Reservoir which
regulates water sources located in Little Rock near the Reservoir Park. The water
36. Persuasive Essay On Child Abuse
Sadly, this is a common case echoed across many instances of teens suffering from
child abuse or suicidal ideation. Child abuse and suicidal ideation are dire issues
afflicting millions of youth in America, but many cases remain unreported, leaving
these teens vulnerable and without support in their predicaments. Although there are
public campaigns urging those suffering from abuse or mental illnesses or people
who are aware of someone suffering to seek help, there is a severe lack in education
regarding the process and its risks; this results in a precarious lack of awareness of
the risks in many, and more alarmingly, in the individuals seeking help.
Unfortunately, for more apparent problems, seeking professional help often causes
the situation to spiral out of their hands, imposing unwanted consequences
disproportionate to the severity of the problem itself. Like in [] s case, family, friends,
neighbors, and even strangers may foist professional help upon victims without their
consent, not knowing it could send them into ruin. As an American adolescent
suffering from child abuse or suicidal ideation, seeking help often begets detrimental
ramifications such as involuntary subjection to the inefficiencies [and perils] of the
child welfare system and psychiatric institutionalization. After reporting their abuse,
children and adolescents fall at the mercy of not just their abusive families, but the
flawed American child welfare system. Oftentimes, Child Protection

about dance sports and teams. But Sport is in the name DANCESPORT is what
some are saying now, but many still don t accept this kind of danceas a sportyet.
There are two sides to this argument, those who are for dance as a sport are usually
those who are in a dance sport or are educated in the subject. While those who are
against it as a sport tend to not be part of a dance sport or just don t know what they

40. Economic Commentary on Comcast s Prospective
Acquisition...
IB Economic Commentary
Even in technology there are monstrous firms that are power thirsty and try to have
the whole market to themselves. Comcast wants to acquire Time Warner Cable for
a $45 billion offer. This is a disadvantage to the consumers because Comcast will
have the position as the dominant cable operator. Furthermore, that could lead to a
decline in competitive pressure. Therefore, is it a wise decision for the deal to be
allowed to go through?
Monopoly is a single firm that controls the market of a given product. In a
monopoly there is an absence of competition, which results in high prices and
inferior products. Because there is an absence of competition and the firm has total
domination of the market, the demand curve in the entire market for the good is
equal to the demand for the individual firm s output. A key characteristic of a
monopoly is the individual s firm downward sloping demand that shows that the firm
has some market power. Market power is the ability to control price without losing
market share. A monopoly s profit maximization is achieved when marginal cost
equals marginal revenue.
Comcast is already a monopoly in a few states, but with the acquisition of Time
Warner Cable, it will obtain coverage of almost one third of the United States as
seen in the map below (Graph 1). With one third of the United States covered by one
cable corporation, that leads to an absence of competition. Therefore, we see in the
graph below that Comcast will cause

The sport cars that are used in the sport are not affordable by normal people and
since they are custom made to the requirements of the Grand Prix Circuits they
cannot be rushed on the roads in the same manner. The impractical designs are sport
oriented and after the race the cars have to be stored or their parts are utilized in
other ways which leads to wastage of some sorts which cannot be recuperated
(Henry, 2000). Hence the sport cannot qualify to the standards of being called
economic and financially healthy. The economic issues are followed by social
issues. The sport is a high energy sport in which a lot of unethical aspects get
involved despite of all the attempts to keep it sane and safe. Initially the sport was
held on public roads that led to severe accidents. Due to the uncontrollably high
speeding of the cars the accidents were unavoidable and this resulted in dire
disasters. These sports were held for public between the public but the cost that
was being paid was a lot higher than the pleasure they were given which made it
quite risky. After much thinking the sport was modified for safety and the circuits

afraid of foreigners. That itself is what makes it so funny because it s also a good

46. The Theory Of Management Theory And Practice
Conrad Hilton Sr. once said Success seems to be connected with action. Successful
people keep moving. They make mistakes but they don t quit (Our Hospitality
Leaders, 2013). Conrad Hilton attributes his success in business to his management
philosophy of treating people fairly. Conrad was a people oriented person, hiring
and empowering his managers to make important decisions for the hotel. He
encouraged and supported his employees to provide excellent service for the
travelers and customers staying, and doing business in the hotel. This philosophy can
also serve as a simplistic way of defining management: organizing and coordinating
daily business activities to achieve organizational goals. Since the early 1900 s
several methodologies have been used to explain the nuts and bolts , and processes of
management theory and practice. Throughout the evolutionary process of
management theory and practice four major schools and approaches have been
identified: the classical approach, the behavioral approach, the management science
approach, and contemporary approach. The classical approach to management is the
oldest school of thought dating back to the late 1890 s and losing favor by the 1940
s. The contributions to the classic school of management included increasing
productivity of the organization, and that of the worker, as well as providing the
framework for management of diverse organizations. This methodology was a
marriage of scientific, administrative, and

ABSTRACTii
The purpose of this presentation is to determine the use of NLP in language teaching.
In this study, in the first part, some background information was given about what
Neuro Linguistic programming (NLP) is, and whether NLP was used in language
teaching before. To put forward whether NLP is effective in languageteaching,
general questions related to NLP are to be asked to language teachers in
questionnaires and interviews. The collected data were analyzed in tables and
graphics by using numerical system. According to the findings, the hypothesis and
the results were once more examined in the conclusion part.

NLP, with its roots in psychology and neurology, is about the way the brain works
and how the brain can be trained for the purpose of betterment. It encompasses or is
related to left / right brain functions, visual / auditory / kinesthetic learning styles,
multiple intelligence and other areas of research which are attempting to identify
modes of learning whilst recognizing the importance of the individual learner.

Here are the key features of NLP:
В•NLP is about recognizing patterns.
В•NLP is concerned with process rather than content.
В•NLP provides a model of how we communicate with ourselves and others. (Darn,

The name Neurolinguistic Programming might lead one to expect that it is based on
the science of Neurolinguistic and that it also draws on behaviorist theories of
learning. However, in NLP neuro refers to beliefs about the brain and how it
functions: the literature on NLP does not refer to theory and research in
neurolinguistics. Linguistic has nothing to do with linguistics but refers to a theory
of communication, one that tries to explain both verbal and nonverbal information

Industrial and urban development destroy, modify, or degrade natural habitat (Ray

a prevalent element in her text, Pinhook. Specifically, in this quote from the book, the
theme of fragmentation and the divisions that result from the methods of human
control over natureare apparent, like the work of the corporate sector of the economy.
The formation of an economy, the production of goods and services, and a

Indigenous people, the whistleblowers in this situation, exposing the pollution and
destruction of the environment that they see around them, are very committed to and
believe strongly in the protection of and the blessings of nature. They are an example
of complicating evidence to the binary about dominance and submission: it is not all
people who exact their dominance and their dangerous economic practices on nature,
it is singularly the people who are using and abusing nature as a part of their
economic growth and development. Ultimately, people who become protectors of the
land, and who fight against the ways of the economically strong will be nature s
answer to resisting human domination. Industry relies heavily on natural resources,
and so when the humans of the world do not allow industry to exploit nature for their
own gain, the binary between dominance and submission surrounding the actions of

50. Background Information On Drinking Water Treatment
Background Information
Microbiological parameters in drinking water treatment include enteric protozoa,
bacteria, virus, etc. Cryptosporidium, being a type of enteric protozoa, has caused
several outbreaks in the last century. Cryptosporidiosis is the human disease caused
by cryptosporidium infection, of which major symptoms are watery diarrhea,
stomach pains or cramps and low fever. Between 1974 and 2001, there have been 12
outbreaks that are attributable to cryptosporidium in Canada.4 Between 1984 and
2000, 10 outbreaks were reported to be associated with cryptosporidium in drinking
water in the United States.4 The most severe outbreak took place in Milwaukee in
1993 that was associated with 419,000 (estimated) cases of illnesses including watery
diarrhea.3
Such high frequency of outbreaks is partly due to the common presence of
cryptosporidium oocysts in the environment. Oocyst is the most important stage of
cryptosporidium life cycle, which has thick cell walls that allow it to survive in the
environment for long enough to find its host. Reproduction takes place inside the
host and newly reproduced cryptosporidium will exit the host into the environment in
feces, in the form of oocyst. It is an everlasting cycle where cryptosporidium goes
back and forth between water and hosts, and its presence persists.
Studies show that cryptosporidium is present across Canada in many major water
bodies. In 2000, there are on average 14 oocysts per 100 litre of water in Saint
Lawrence
51. The Controversialism Is The Presidential System Of
Government
Thesis Statement
Presidentialism is a system of government in which the president is elected both chief
executives and as head of government (Ogelsby SuГЎrez, 1968) and is the main
system of democratic government apart from parliamentary systems. Presidential
systems tend to centralise priorities of the government to stabilise society. Normally,
they are classed into separate regions of power; where the executive, legislative and
judicial branches of government are dependent on one another and cannot work
effectively in deeply divided societies. This argument is ruled by the fact that they
are 1) divisive, causing isolation between different political, cultural and religious
groups. Elites are prioritised over minority working class groups and 2) inherently
majoritarian, as only a single position is given, causing proportionality to become
impossible. In places such as Latin America and Northern Ireland, we see the ways
in which these theories have proven ineffectiveness. However, presidential systems
aim to separate powers in order to protect citizens rights and deter abuse of power
for good governance overall. Moreover, presidential systems, however, have quick
decisiveness in resolving societal issues. Without effective separation; executive,
legislative and judicial powers, would be at risk. Lastly, in divided societies; some
have been forced to adopt presidential systems, but have unsuccessfully done so, due
to not achieving independent judiciaries and separation of

With primary issuances of securities or financial instruments, or the primary market,
investors purchase these securities directly from issuers such as corporationsissuing
shares in an IPO or private placement, or directly from the federal government in the
case of treasuries. After the initial issuance, investors can purchase from other
investors in the secondary market.
The secondary market for a variety of assets can vary from loans to stocks, from
fragmented to centralized, and from illiquid to very liquid. The major stock
exchanges are the most visible example of liquid secondary markets in this case, for
stocks of publicly traded companies. Exchanges such as the New York Stock

secondary market for the investors who own stocks that trade on those exchanges.
Most bonds and structured products trade over the counter, or by phoning the bond

In the secondary market, securities are sold by and transferred from one investor or

children s brain. According to Just, Cherkassky, Keller, Kana, and Minshew (2007),
when autistic group was compared to control group, the functional connectivity was
lower for the autistic participants between frontal and parietal areas, relevant parts of

Applied Behavioral Analysis Intervention ABA is based on principles of behavioral
therapy and is one of the most effective interventions for children that have autism.
According to Healy, O Connor, Leader, and Kenny (2008), early intensive behavioral
intervention was effective with preschool children that had autism because they
reported high achievements in normative functioning, which was measured under
practical outcomes and standard psychological methods. The study also concludes
that since Applied Behavior Analysisis a treatment, it can fabricate systematic,
substantial and durable effects under particular conditions. This study provided an
example where 40% to 60 % children before reaching five who had two years and
ten months treatment improved well enough that they were ready to be enrolled in
public schools. The research shows that Applied Behavior Analysis is effective with
children that have autism, but there are many other effective interventions that can be
integrated with ABA. For example Lim and Draper (2011) incorporated music with
Applied Behavioral Analysis and found that both of music and ABA were effective
and there was no significant differences in between them. Moreover, results
specifically indicated that music was as important as speech training to form
functional verbal operants in children that have autism. The results also stated that
when music is paired with ABA, musical stimuli could enhance verbal production in
children with autism. In

In the election held in 2013, only two WC made it to the parliament, although women
made up more than 53% of the electorate. These two candidates received the highest

The second dominant theme, however, did represent an objective, candidate based
acceptance, in which a tweeter was favorable towards a candidate because of her
personal traits and political skills. The most prevalent subtheme under this theme was
the moral traits of the WC, such as being modest, patriotic, and/or religious. Other
tweeters favored WC because of their knowledge and sagacity. Women tweeters were
more interested in showing a positive attitude toward a candidate because of her
looks.
The third positive theme spoke to the political skills of WC as they were evidenced
in a previous parliamentary term or as they were expected to show up after they win
election. Satisfaction with past political performance was a major subtheme of this
positive theme. Praise of the communication skills of these candidates represents
another major subtheme. Tweeters, especially women, placed a special emphasis on
the communication skills of the candidates, praising them for their eloquence,
sophistication as speakers, and cogent logic while talking to the media. They
described the speaking style of one WC as making the liver of the listener cooler (a
Kuwaiti colloquial expression connoting a good mood and a positive reaction).
The fourth positive theme was gender based, in which tweeters expressed a positive
55. Al Qaeda Of Osama Bin Laden
Basic Overview
Al Qaeda, or the Base in Arabic, is an arrangement of extremists initially organized by
Osama Bin Laden. Al Qaeda originated throughout the uprising against the Soviet
occupation of Afghanistan. Thousands of volunteers from around the Middle East
came to Afghanistan as mujahideen, warriors fighting to defend fellow Muslims. Bin
Laden returned to his native Saudi Arabia after the Soviets withdrew from
Afghanistan and founded an organization to help veterans of the Afghan war, thus
creating the basis of al Qaeda. The death of Bin Laden, who was killed in a joint
operation by US troops and CI operatives in May 2011, complicated the future of al
Qaeda. Some speculated that the group might seek retaliation, while others wondered
if they would wallow without their supreme leader. More than a month after bin
Laden s death, al Qaeda named Dr. Ayman al Zawahirias their new leader. Following
bin Laden s death another powerful top ranking al Qaeda leader, Fazul Abdullah
Mohammed, was killed in June. Fazul Abdullah Mohammed was the leader of al
Qaeda in East Africa and was responsible for the organized US embassy bombings in
