It Starts With Little Annoyances
It starts with little annoyances, such as loud stomping from upstairs and the occasional sounds of
loud banging. Jungkook knew that having neighbors was difficult, and he prepared himself for the
worst. But nothing could have prepared him for this.
Jeon Jungkook, your average sophomore in university, with barely sufficient grades and a ton of
snarky remarks, had been living in an apartment for nearly two years. The apartment just above
his was always empty, and he had wished to keep it that way Hoseok had told him a ton of stories
about his upstairs neighbor dancing and stomping at 2AM in the morning ( like what the fuck ) but
sadly, luck wasn t on his side. He didn t even know about the supposedly new tenant until he woke

Jungkook was in the kitchen, clad in a white t shirt and grey sweatpants, when he suddenly feels
a drop of water on his shoulder. What? he looked up. On the ceiling, big wet drops of water were
forming and dripping down his walls. He quickly runs out of the kitchen to get an empty bucket to
collect the drops, but when he comes back, the room is flooded up to his knees and he panics.
Jumping onto the kitchen counter, he crawls all the way to the refridgerator, and grabs his
umbrella, opening it to try to shield himself from the indoor storm.
Someone! he screams helplessly. He thinks of his papers on his desk that he worked so hard on,
probably destroyed, and cries. Help!
The front door suddenly slams open, and someone rushes into the kitchen.
Hi, I m Taehyung! I like the number ten, and you can call me TaeTae, why are you screaming the
stranger freezes at the doorway, staring at the scene.
If Jungkook wasn t so distressed, he would ve taken time and admire the handsome stranger. If he
wasn t so distressed, he would ve been ashamed of his situation: having a stranger barge into his
apartment to witness him crouched on his kitchen counter holding an umbrella, screaming at the
water coming out of his ceiling and crying because he had no idea what the fuck was going on.
The two just stand there, in total shock while the rest of Jungkook s

Johnson Decision To Americanize The Vietnam War Essay
LBJ s decision to Americanize the war was not wise and well informed, an accurate answer for
U.S. defeat in Vietnam was the decision to Americanize the war. Influencing the belief that Johnson
decision to escalate appeared to have been predetermined; Johnson consistently appeared to be in
favor of increasing military in South Vietnam, and he only needed something to happen in order to
validate his reasoning for the increase of U.S. involvement. This something was the Tonkin Gulf
incident and this event became Johnson s basis to take all necessary measures to repel any armed
attack against the forces of the United States... (Young, 119); that this was a declaration of war
(Hunt, 67). However, this incident, as Nicholas Katzenbach said, was... Show more content on

Even with the approval of congress towards the Tonkin Gulf incident showed a misuse of power
(Rotter, 77). When Dante B. Fascell said The president needed authority. Who cared about the facts
of the so called incident that would trigger this authority? So the resolution was just hammered right
on through by everyone (Young, 120); this recollection makes it appear as through the Tonkin Gulf
incident decision was not well informed. The resolution was the issue of Johnson s authority and
the potential that offensive measures in South Vietnam could lead to a third world war (Young,
121). Another example that Americanization was unwise and not well informed was Johnson
ignoring the George Ball about better solutions to help America leave the war. Once again it is the
issue with Johnson s authority, he constantly ignores other possibilities of leaving Vietnam. At the
end the Johnson administration would choose three tactics: bombing the North, intensify the war in
the South using U.S. troops, and concentration on pacification of the

Social Issue Of Teen Pregnancy
History of the Problem: The issue of teen pregnancy in the United States first garnered the public s
attention in the 1950s. Beginning with the Carter administration, every succeeding presidential
administration highlights teen pregnancy as social issue that needs to be addressed (Furstenberg,
2007). The issue of teen pregnancywas first noted in the early 1950s. In Post WWII America, birth
rates rose at a staggering rate among all women (Colby, 2014). In this time period, marriage and
child bearing were still inextricably linked and marriage among teens also rose. Due to teens
tendency to marry due to an unintended pregnancy, the issue of teen pregnancy did not gain much
attention during this decade.
During the 1960s, however, childbearing of women of all ages declined but much more so in
older American women (Furstenberg, 2007). During this decade teens were still bearing children
and at a much higher rate than their older female counterparts. This was due, in part, to the fact
that teen pregnancy was usually unintended and therefore harder to manage with the contraceptive
that were available at the time (Furstenberg, 2007). During this time period, it was also much
harder to marry at a young age. Age of consent laws, the age that an individual can legally consent
to sexual activity, have largely remained unchanged since the 1920s (Robertson, 2007). Age of
consent laws vary from state to state but range from 14 to 18 in the United States (Robertson,
2007). The age for

Wind Change In Black Saturday
When considering what results in a higher magnitude bushfire, it is also important to consider the
longer term events leading up to the disaster. Figure 11 illustrates that the weather events that
occurred before leading up to Black Saturday can be strongly linked to the large amount of
destruction caused. From both figures, it can be noted that a wind change affected the path and
development of fires. In the case of Black Saturday, this extended the firefront, increasing the
magnitude of the disaster. It is believed that the wind change of the Crib Point fire helped to
prevent a large amount of destruction in some areas, while causing it some in others. With this
being said, the wind change in Crib point prevented it from advancing so quickly,

Planning A Family Trip
Planning a family trip is appealing and a bit stressful, but that is all washed away once the
journey commences because you are with family and friends. And the thought of enjoying the trip
alone never crosses your mind. Additionally, the odds of ending up in a somewhat seedy location
is not top of mind. In consideration, a significant portion of the of discussion and planning is
based on the needs of your family. However, the same process of planning a solo tripis not nearly
the same thing, and if you are a female solo traveler, there are some additional tips and tricks to
consider before booking your next trip.
Earlier this year, for example, several popular sites including SmarterTravel.com and Trip.com
published safety tip focused articles detailing experiences from other solo female travelers. The
U.S. State Department also issued a list of countries this year which included Mexico, and Egypt
among others that were placed with travel alerts, to warn travelers overall of what to expect. Per
the U.S. State Department travel warnings are issued, for short term events we think you should
know about when planning travel to a country. Examples of reasons for issuing a travel alert might
include an election season that is bound to have many strikes, demonstrations, or disturbances; a
health alert like an outbreak of H1N1; or evidence of an elevated risk of terrorist attacks. When
these short term events are over, we cancel the Travel Alert. Additionally, Trip.com found

Extensive Reading And Intensive Reading
10. Extensive reading vs. Intensive reading
Many studies have been conducted to distinguish extensive reading from intensive reading. For
instance, Uden (2003) states that extensive reading imitates reading in the first language in the
way that its key elements are purpose and pleasure. It is based on easy material that is chosen by
the learner to build language fluency and. ER allows learners to process language faster and
improves comprehension. While, intensive reading refers to the careful reading of the material with
the goal of complete and detailed understanding. Moreover, it is associated with the teaching of
reading in terms of its components skill, i.e. distinguishing the main idea of the text, reading for gist.

14. The relationship between reading and writing
Over the past years, reading was the main focus rather than writing. In Britain, for example, in
the eighteen and the nineteen centuries Foggart (cited in Tribble, 1996, p.11) pointed out, it is
desirable that the majority should read in the way they can be given instructions and can be
educated into a particular ideology, writing on the other hand assume the giving instructions and
the formation of views about society . These two skills are viewed as separated skills because
reading is passive and writing is productively one; however, these two language skills are
complementary and can be closely developed. As Johnson (2008, p.07) believes that the
relationship between these two skills is that reading helps learners become better writer, by making
them in contact with the rules of grammar, consequently they develop the language structure,
grammar and increase their vocabulary; hence, reading in the writing classroom is understood as
the appropriate input for the acquisition of writing skill since it is believed that reading passages
will somehow function as primary model for which writing skill can be learned, or at least inferred

In 2015, commercial fisheries harvested in North Carolina caught more than four times the
recreational coastal fish harvest, yet commercial fishermen ask for less stringency on commercial

have been popping up creating a lack of abundance in some channels and creeks that once were

When gill nets are used there is no escape for manatees or sea turtles until someone comes to cut
them out of the floating walls of the mesh entrap them until they are taken by death or released.
But when North Carolinians see a manatee which may be rare to see why would they wish to see
one entangled in a net. These poor animals are already endangered why does it have to be made
worse by commercial fishermen. Manatees are aquatic mammals kind of like whales they are the
gentle giants of the Intracoastal waterway. Manatees are like the whales of inshore but unlike
whales manatees are more inept to being harmed by humans and the fishing. Sea turtles use both
inshore and offshore waters so they are always in danger from the fisheries from being run over by
a boat or being entrapped in a net. Sea turtles are endangered already but when they come into
inshore waters they endanger their lives unknowingly they risk death. But thankfully they resist
coming into these waters unless they must lay eggs. In order to protect sea turtles many people

As Muhammad Ali once stated, Don t count the days; make the days count ( Boxing in the 1960s.

impacted many and also made countless statements that still ring true today. His impact on the
outlook of the Vietnam War was influential for many, and it motivated others to push for civil
rights like he did. A lot of fellow activists approved of his actions, while others were very against
what he believed in. Clearly, Muhammad Ali, otherwise known as Cassius Clay, was a controversial

THE ROAD PAST ALTAMONT
Book Analysis
Theme: Evolution of mother and daughter relationship
A book The Road Past Altamont by Gabrielle Roy was first published in French in the year 1966
(Dillman, 115). The subject of the book penetrates to the heart of a Child s in depth world, forming
a subtle, yet considerable linkage of impressions, feelings, and relationships. The nous style of the
writer Roy, whose literature imitates her infantile on the Canadian steppe, has often been compared
with others. The book entails the four significant stories which are related to the young girl named
Christine, from the period for her innocence to maturity. According to the understanding of this
book, the purpose of this piece of literature is to make others understand the importance and power
of the development of the relationship between a mother and a daughter. Moreover, in her writing,
Gabrielle Roy allowed nothing peripheral or false to stand, according to many. The four allied
stories divulge reflective moments during her early years in the massiveness of Manitoba. However,
all the mentioned characters and events express writer s obsession with childhood till the old age,
the passage of the time as well as the mystery of change, and the artist s relation to the world.
After the reading of this book The Road Past Altamont , there are many various themes which can
be related to it. A relevant and related theme of the book can be the evolution

Light Intensity lab
Research Question
Does light intensity affect the rate of photosynthesis in algae beads?
I was hoping to discover what plants thrive in different lights for future references. I was hoping to
find relevant information that will help me make decisions on what plants to purchase.
Hypothesis
Light intensity does affect the rate of photosynthesis. Too much light may cause plants to burn out
or stop producing oxygen while too little light will not provide enough light for optimal
photosynthesis activity and CO2 would stop be taken in and oxygen would stop being produced.
Background
When using algae beads and a CO2 indicator, the process of Photosynthesis and Cellular
Respiration can be measured. In this experiment the intensity of light will be altered in each trail,
and the rate of Photosynthesis will then be measured. As you rise from low light intensity to
higher light intensity, the rate of photosynthesis will increase because there is more light
available to drive the reactions of photosynthesis. However, once the light intensity gets high
enough, the rate won t increase anymore since there will be more light than water and CO2;
there will not be enough components from light, water, and CO2 to create the process of
Photosynthesis. As CO2 dissolves and the amount of CO2 goes up, the pH will lower, which
means the solutions color will change varying form red, orange and yellow, all pending on what
the pH is at. CO2 will be produced from respiration, all while photosynthesis absorbs the CO2. This
means that when the rate of photosynthesis is less than respiration, pH levels will decrease, and
CO2 concentration will increase. Vis versa, when pH levels increase and CO2 concentration
decreases, the photosynthesis rate is greater than the respiration rate.
When limiting amount of light that is allowed to be transmitted, Neutral density filters can be used.
These filers reduce the amount of light that is allowed to pass through. In this experiment the
neutral density filters will be used to decrease the amount of light that is allowed to penetrate the
algae beads. Two different density s will be test through this experiment, one density, which is

Ezra Pound Response: The Tree by Ezra Pound is about how Pound identifies with the tree like
state in which the nymph, Daphne, of Greek myth finds herself in order to escape Apollo. Pound
begins the poem explaining how he was a tree amid the wood meaning a changed being amid a
familiar yet under perceived environment. He likens this form to the myth of Apollo who chases
Daphne until she asks the god, Peneus, to change her into a tree. Even though she is transformed
into a laurel , which happens to be the Greek word for Daphne, Apollo is still able to recognize
her by the inner beauty of the tree before him. He then claims the tree as his own, just as he would

The first and last identical lines are, The eyes of this dead lady speak to me. This repetition
makes me believe that he did not know who the lady was, but he feels a haunting connection to
her somehow. Pound recognizes a passion in the woman that is so strong, it is conveyed even
from a two dimensional image of her. This must have meant that she moves Pound in a way he
has experienced before. His desire to feel this emotion again is no less just because she is dead.
By repeating the first line at the end of the poem, Pound drives home the strength of his feeling for
the woman considering that the entire poem is only four lines in total. The title does not give much
away about the poem except that it is about a picture. Nevertheless, it does tell that the picture
means something to Pound because he titled it The Picture , not A Picture which would probably
be about pictures in general. Ezra Pound reveals his emotional side in this poem and demonstrates
his passion and perception of unspoken language. Ezra Pound explains his view on marriage in
his poem, The Altar . He says in the first line Let us build here an exquisite friendship. The
exquisite friendship is a symbol for marriage and the altar is the place where that marriage begins.
He goes on to call it a place of wonder , because it is the place where the everlasting bond is
consecrated. The altar is holy ground where God makes two people s love for

Scientific Management Frederick Taylor Essay
Scientific management is defined by (Robbins et al., 2012) as an approach that involves using
scientific methods to define the one best way for a job to be done . Frederick W. Taylor is said to
be the forefather of scientific management, during his time many people criticised Taylor and his
work, however it is easy to see that many of his approaches are used in contemporary management
systems. This essay will provide a review of the article The Ideas of Frederick W. Taylor ,
Academy of Management Review (Locke, E., 1982) which discusses the positives and negatives of
Taylor s theory. A further 3 articles will be analysed on the critiquing or support of scientific

Locke (1982) also articulates Taylor s major criticisms in his journal article; degradation of the
worker, loss of complete skills, authoritarianism or dictatorship power given to management,
exploitation of workers and dishonesty. Locke concludes his article stating that even though it has
been 65 years since Taylor s death and many more theorists of businessmanagement have risen
and fallen, Frederick W. Taylor s research and findings are still used in today s business systems
(1982, p.22).
Over the years many articles have been written regarding scientific management and Frederick
w. Taylor, 3 examples of these articles will be analysed and discussed in the further paragraphs
of this essay. Wrege, C. D. and Stotka, A. M. wrote an article concerning the relationship
between Taylor and his assistant Morris L. Cooke and the evidence that shows Taylor used
much of Cooke s own research and study for his publication of Principles of Scientific
Management . Blake A. M. and Moseley J. L. undertook research which discovered that Taylor s
principles are still being used in business systems one hundred years after Taylor s death.
Darmody, Peter B. wrote his article regarding Henry L. Gantt and Frederick Taylor as the pioneers
of scientific management, Darmody speaks highly of Taylor and Gantt, and agrees with many of
their opinions.

Crohns Disease Research Paper
Crohns diseases is an inflammatory disease of the GI tract. It differs from other forms of irritable
bowel syndrome, because in can occur in any part of the GI tract. Most cases involve the small
intestine. Some causes of this disease are lymphatic obstruction, infection, genetic predisposition,
and an altered immune response to intestinal bacteria. Crohns disease causes ulceration of the
superficial mucosa, and progresses its way to the deep mucosa. This will cause masses of
granulation tissue to form. These masses are called granulomas. These granulomas will extend into
the lymph nodes in the area. This will cause lymphatic obstruction. Edema, mucosal irritation,
fissures, and abscesses occur. Neutrophils will infiltrate the area, and form

China is the second largest economy in the world after the US. This is measured by both nominal
GDP ($4.99 trillion), and by purchasing power ($8.77 trillion). The Peoples Republic of China, as it

The Marble Champ
Never give up. Always keep going. Try hard. Practice makes perfect. The Marble Champ by
Gary Soto is a great story. A girl named Lupe is not good at sports but she finds something
athletic that she could be good at. She found marbles. She practiced until she got so good, she
won the marbles championship. For this matter, I think a possible theme in this story is to never
give, just like Lupe did. A couple reasons why, are because she practices, perseveres, and always
gives 100% effort.
To begin, one reason why a possible theme could be to never give up is Lupe practices. At the
beginning of the story Lupe did fingertip pushups. She did 20 of them in sets of five, so every so
often she could take a break. This seems like a lot to ask from someone who isn t that strong.
She also squeezed a eraser for a long time. From doing this she got so good she beat Alfonso.
Alfonso was a neighborhood kid who was really good at marbles, but Lupe got so good she beat
him! In the story it says, Man, she s bad! Alfonso said. She can beat the other girls for sure. I
think. This was right after Lupe beat Alfonso, and he was one of the best at marbles. Another
reason is Lupe only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Persevere means to keep trying even if you have failed. One example, is that even in marbles
when Lupe missed a shot she didn t let it get her, and make her quit, this shows that she wants to

wouldn t be good at something athletic. She tried. In the story it says, She could not catch a pop
up figure in which direction to kick the soccer ball. Instead, she at least put in effort to try and get
good at something athletic. Finally, In the marble championship Lupe was going up against a girl
that looked tough, but Lupe didn t turn around and walk away. She faced the girl. Lupe shoes a

Women During World War II
During World War II, the roles of women have forever been changed. Young men and women
decided to marry just before their sweethearts went overseas to fight for their country. As the men
fought abroad, we began to see women on the Home Front encouraged to be more independent
and finding jobs of their own. These females in the United States stepped up to the plate and began
working jobs that many men had before. Women stepped up and began working in factories,
participating in organizations in regards to the war, all while still running things smoothly at home.
While the men were away for battle, women became proficient cooks and housekeepers, managed
the finances, learned to fix the car, worked in a defense plant, and wrote letters to their soldier
husbands.
Women became dominant in the work force during World War II and we saw the roles of the
Hispanic culture specifically go through a huge transformation here in the United States.
Many Latino s were drafted into armed services, which triggered a major migration of Mexicans
into the U.S.
Mexican Americans suffered a high amount of racism and bigotry during World War II and it
reached a breaking point during the Zoot Suit Riots. The Zoot Suit Riots were a series of riots that
took place in East Los Angeles in 1943. Zoot Suiters or pacuchos were the target of U.S.

The World Poverty Runs Rampant
People fear tangible and visible things, places they have been and never wish to return like the old
scary basement locked in darkness. Yet, poverty remains abstract, unknown, and even
unfathomable to most. Across the world poverty runs rampant as 3 billion people live on less than
$2.50 per day and more than 1.3 billion live in extreme povertyon less than $1.50 per day. These
are not abstracts, but facts so let me repeat myself, 1.3 billion people, part of the human race
whose DNA contain the same sequences as everyone on this planet live in extreme poverty; where
food, medical treatment, and clean water remains a luxury. To help put this in prospective look at
an old budgetary game of time and numbers.
Just like most people do not fully fathom the difference between million and billion, more
developed societies neither fully understand the severity of the condition, nor do they understand
the magnitude of its impact. These problems are pushed aside and 22, 000 children each day die.
In 2014, Ebola outcry garnered visible top spots in media coverage leading the US among others

Discuss The Effects Of Ww2 On African American Women
The postwar period starting in 1945 was a time of economic boom and a shared sense of unity in
the United States, or so it seemed. Although the unemployment rate was zero percent women and
African American workers were becoming increasingly unhappy with their roles in the American
post war economy. Employment of women in America was at an all time high reaching 19 million
by 1945. However, the traditional gender roles between men and women created tension after the
war due to women s push for opportunity outside of their typical roles at home. In the post war
period, African Americanworkers were still feeling a sense of segregation and inequality in the
workforce. They were usually the last to be hired, especially African American women,

The Good and Evil of Humans Essay
The Good and Evil of Humans
A famous philosopher Socrates once said, the unexamined life is not worth living. With that idea,
the question Are Human Beings Intrinsically Evil? has been asked by philosophers for many years.
It is known as one of the unanswerable questions. Determinists have come to the conclusion that we
are governed by the laws of science, that there is nothing we can do about ourselves being evil
because we naturally are. Evil is simply the act of causing pain. In this essay I will argue that human
beings are born with a natural reaction to fear and chaos to be instinctively evil.
The primary evidence that people are generally evil is evident by the number of wars. Most
countries have experienced their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One night after one of the boys got upset with their teacher decided to bring his gang to beat him
up. The teenagers were never provoked to take such drastic measures as to kill, and had no
intention to actually kill. But the leader of the gang, who had a gun, shot him in an area he thought
could not kill him, but it did. This did not happen necessarily because the boy was afraid, but it the
heat of the moment and the chaos around him, he did. Another example of evil in youth culture is
the youth gangs in California. Young men of 2 different gangs were isolated from their community.
They began to make their own rules, which lead to things getting out of control. The mentality of
these gangs becomes ?this is how we must be to survive and that we must fight to survive?. In most
cases, people that have the opportunity to have a good education and raised in decent family make
the choice to make their lives chaotic with violence. Others that are raised in a chaotic community
do not have much choice. Youth culture are very easily influenced by their communities once they
become in a chaotic community, it becomes disastrous for the community and to themselves.
Literature for many years has described human nature as being evil once they fear something or
are in a chaotic situation. In William Golding?s novel ?Lord of the Flies? which describes horrific
exploits of a group of young boys who make a transition from civilized to barbaric. Golding

Native Peoples of Canada Essay
Native Peoples of Canada
The Indian does not exist. It is an imaginary figure, according to Daniel Francis (The Imaginary
Indian), invented by Europeans that originated in Columbus s mistake, as he believed he had
landed in the East Indies, and developed into fantasy. Through the prism of white hopes, fears and
prejudices, indigenous Americans would be seen to have lost contact with reality and to have
become Indians ; that is anything non Natives wanted them to be, (5). Thus they were attributed a
wide range of conflicting characteristics, simultaneously seen as noble savages, full of stoicism, the

Yet there is evidence in memoirs of travellers and missionaries at this time, that some existing
qualities were perceived. While these so called documenters were often more concerned with
providing the world with desired images of the warrior dressed in extravagant battle regalia than
with accurate representations, evident in the work for example of celebrated painter Paul Kane,
they did discern a power of speech and eloquence which they found surprising in what they
deemed to be a heathen race without knowledge of basic civilising tools such as the wheel and
writing. Indeed rhetoric was a symbol of great power and command since, as Penny Petrone states
chiefs were leaders only insofar as they were able to persuade their kinsmen to follow them, (Native
Literature in Canada, 25). In addition to such social structuring, oratory had a didactic function as
tribal history, incorporating story telling, would be recited at length, while stories were passed
from generation to generation describing the world, nature and man s position in relation, often
using allegory and fable with figures such as Coyote the trickster who appears time and again in
various forms. The power of spoken language was also recognised in terms of medicinal purposes
and communicating with spirits, words did not merely represent meaning. They possessed the

Pablo Escobar s How Soccer Explains The World
In the world of sports, the culture of the place you call home plays an influential role in the
politics of the game as a result of sports nationalism. On various levels of the game, the
competition of sports is seen not only as a celebration of the purity that is the human body but
the assertion of dominance by one country over another. As we come to the end of our Discover

If a country s government were to play a role in their national team, the team is subject to
permanent banishment from international tournaments. In Columbia during the reign of Pablo

the Colombian National Team was in fact a great service. Without the help of Pablo Escobar,
The Colombian National Team in the early 1990 s would of never prospered into what it had

Bank Regulation Of The Modern Day Economy
Bank regulation plays a vital part in the economy today and can be attributed for a lot of its
success. It has even been taken to the extent of individuals claiming bank regulation to be the
backbone of our modern day economy. To fully understand this topic it is first important to define
what bank regulations are. Bankregulations are a kind of government regulation that makes banks
liable to certain requirements, restrictions and guidelines. Bank regulation includes determining
specific regulations and guidelines to oversee all of the activities and operations of banking
organizations. Banking regulations can vary widely between nations and can even be changed due

1791, the Bank of North America which is located in Philadelphia until its congressional charter

allowed for The Bank of North America to be granted a monopoly on the issue of bills of credit

After this time period, the United States experienced a period where the majority of banks were

from transitioning from central banking to the use of small banks was a high risk of failing

The condenser also functions to maintain the temperature throughout the heating process and
thereby maximizing the accuracy of the experimental results. The addition of boiling chips in the
heating process to dissolve the diphenyl serves to minimize the possibility of the occurrence of
bumping, i.e. sudden explosive boiling whereby large bubbles erupt from the heated solution.
Instead, a steady stream of small air bubbles is produced with the addition of the chips.
Subsequently after complete dissolving of the crude diphenyl, an additional 15 mL of ethanol is
added to ensure that all the crude diphenyl is dissolved. A small amount of decolourising charcoal
is added to the solution mixture. The decolourising charcoal serves to remove any impurities in
the mixture, by adsorbing substances responsible for colouration of the solution on its surface via
its activated properties. A small amount is used as the desired product may be adsorbed as well if
a large amount is used instead.
The mixture is filtered via a preheated stemless glass funnel immediately after boiling for 10 15
minutes. This is to prevent any early crystallization of the mixture since its crystallization
temperature is quite low. The use of preheated apparatus for filtration is also to minimize premature
crystallization of the mixture. Filtration of the mixture while it is still hot is to

Paragraph 1: Me and the person i m working with, (thang) had to pick a project. So I suggested
we should drop a car down a track and see how the terrain effects the effects how long it takes the
toy car to go down the binders. We liked this idea because we could apply it to real life when you

trying to answer is how does the terrain effect the speed of a toy car. With four terrains rainy,

toy car. My independent variable is the surface the toy car is sliding down on top of the binder.

So changing the terrain would change the time to finish the race. The sand will cause more
friction, the dents will act like a hill and speed it up just to slow it down going up the hill. But
the water would act as a lubricant. The dependent variable is the amount of time to finish the
length of the two binders (or the race,) to track how long it takes for the car to finish the race.
The reasoning why this variable is going change is because of different amounts of friction will
slow the toy car down. This is the variable I will get my data from.the way the amount of friction
affects the speed of the toy car because the amount of friction slows the speeds of moving objects
this happens because the force of friction causes a opposes the motion of an object causing it to
lose speed. The less speed the toy car has the longer the car will take to travel the distance of the
two binders.Water is a lubricant a lubricant is something that lessens friction therefore it should
make the toy car insell in speed making it go

The Articles of Confederation laid down some of the fundamentals of our national government,
but still it had many flaws, such as an inability to regulate commerce and an inability to tax,
among others (Scholastic Update, 2). The main players in the organizing and writing of the
Constitution are Alexander Hamilton of New York, James Madison of Virginia, and George
Washington. They believed in a stronger national government and Congress right to regulate
trade. In response to Shay s rebellion which consisted of farmers protesting taxes, a convention
was called for by Madison and Hamilton to be held in Philadelphia in 1787. It was during this
convention that the foundations for the Constitution were worked out. A completely new
government was created and put on paper between May 25 and the final signing of the
Constitution on September 17. The document was debated for sometime between Federalists and
Anti Federalists, but in December 1971 ten Bill of Rights were added to the Constitution in order
to give rights to the citizens of the United States. This pleased both sides, and the Constitution was

Recommend Elements In The Design Of Audit Trails And Data...
Part 1: Recommend elements included in the design of audit trails and data quality monitoring
programs With today s advancement in technology, most hospitals have developed a data security
plan to ensure that patient data is being handled correctly and is only viewed by authorized
personnel. Hospitals can keep unauthorized personnel from viewing patient information by setting
up individual passwords (Wager, Lee, Glaser, 2013) only allowing those employees to view the
patient s information for them to complete their job task. When an employee is entering
information into the system, it needs to be in real time as much as possible to keep human errors

We also need a more secure software to keep those who are not authorized from accessing the
system. One of the ways we can achieve this is by making sure the software that we have is only
accessible by the staff from audit department and not our normal hospital employees (Loshin,
2011). The software also needs to be designed that once the data has been retrieved for an audit, it
can no longer be changed unless it is approved through the chain of command.
Part 3: Recommend device selection based on workflow, ergonomic and human factors The
current system that we have is not effective for the staff and needs to be upgraded. When
choosing a system for the hospital, we need to make sure it meets the privacy for our patients
and is effective for our staff. When our staff is treating our patients, we need to be mindful of the
placement of computers in patient rooms so staff can easily access them and bring them to a
comfortable level for them to work. These computers need to have the security screen protection
covers placed over them so visitors cannot see the screen as the staff is documenting. I also think
we should install the fingerprint identification to allow fast and easy access to the system, so the
staff is able to complete real time charting and in the event of an emergency they are not trying to
type out their password and forgetting, having this device installed will also ensure that patients are
not able to can access to the computer (Maksimov Kalkis, 2016).

Informative Essay On Fireworks
Morrison, Haley
Chemistry, Period 5
Due Date: November 17, 2017
Every 4th of July, many people go out at night and spend hours watching firework shows. Most of
us are content to simply enjoy the pretty colors and sparks, without questioning the chemistry
behind the spectacle, but have you ever really thought about how fireworks produce such vibrant
colors? The colors emitted when a firework explodes come from an aerial shell inside the
firework that contains explosive chemicals and metallic salts. These colors appear to us because of
luminescence. Luminescence occurs as a result of the valence electrons in the metal salt atoms
moving and changing positions. The explosion of fireworks is not a miracle; it s simply chemistry at
work.
When we see fireworks explode, what we re actually seeing is the explosion of components
inside the aerial shell. The aerial shell is made up of gunpowder and stars, small lumps that are
comprised of fuel, an oxidizing agent, a metal containing colorant, and a binder. These stars are
what give the fireworks their colors. (De Antonis, pg 8). The metal containing colorant produces
the color when it s exposed to a flame (in this case, the ignition of the gunpowder) then the fuel and
oxidizing agent combine to create a chemical reaction that yields powerful heat and gas (De
Antonis, pg 8).The binder holds all these ingredients together when the firework explodes. When
the fuse at the bottom of a firework is lit, the energy propels it upwards until

Cassio quickly becomes very guilty. Iago seizes the opportunity to convince Othello that
Desdemona is having a relationship with Cassio, he succeeds, and Othello gets more and more
jealous. Iago designs a plan to bring Cassio into the room while Othello is near and says he will
confess. Cassio enters with Iago, who has just told him about his lover White. To Othello, it
seems that Cassio admits a relationship with Desdemona. For the rest of the drama, Iago created
a flow of lies that affected everyone. These lies lead to the deaths of Emilia (wife of Iago) and
Roderigo. Othello ends up killing Desdemona out of anger and jealousy, when he learns the truth of
her innocence, Iago was discovered and without repentance, he was imprisoned.

We will no longer allow 457 visas to be passports to jobs that could and should go to Australians .
This is what Mr Turnbull said in a video posted to Facebook on April 18 this year marking the
beginning to a series of changes to the 457 visa.
The Temporary Work (skilled) (subclass 457) visa is a visa that lets a skilled worker travel to
Australia to work in their nominated occupation for their approved sponsor for up to four years
(Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection), most importantly this
can only happen providing that the sponsor could not find an Australian citizen to do the work (The

In April, the same month as Mr Turnbull s announcement, the 651 professions eligible for a 457
visa was cut down to 435 eligible occupations. This 33% cut might appear to be a drastic change,
however 18 of these occupations haven t been used in the past decade and include jobs such as
deer farmers and turf growers. Additionally, 46 occupations have never been approved to foreign
workers for the twenty years that the 457 visa has been in place.
Removing occupations such as foreign Ship s masters and picture framers will not return jobs to
Australians. But not only did the government remove these trivial occupations, they also decided to
remove certain scientist, ICT support technicians and engineers.
The IT sector employs the largest percentage of 457 visa workers by field (14.1%) and is one of

Vincent Willem Van Gogh Essay
Vincent Willem Van Gogh, of Groot Zundert, France, was born on March 30, 1853, near the
southern Netherlands. He was noted as a troubled, erratic painter by David Sweetman, in his book
Van Gogh: His Life and His Times. Anna Cornelia Carbentus and Theodrus van Gogh were the
parents of this soon to be phenomenon, and focused their occupations around religion. Theodrus,
Cor, Elizabeth, Anna, and Willemina were van Gogh s siblings. The van Gogh unity held the
common name Vincent throughout generations of their family. Other than his grandfather and
great uncle, one year before van Gogh s birth, a stillborn with his name was born, making him the
replacement child. Art and religion was effortlessly threaded throughout his family, his... Show

A deteriorating relationship existed between Vincent and the Goupil company, resulting him to
soon giving up on the career of art dealing. Though unsure of where he wished to pursue himself,
van Gogh began teaching gospel to schools for boys, and letters of evidence provide the fact that
he enjoyed this occupation. Time back in London in 1876 made it a year of religious exploration
for him. Aside from his time at work, he kept museums and galleries of art as open options.
Travelling deeper into the subject of religion, Vincent moved into a clergyman position, and
began to speak at prayer meetings, all of which added up for experience towards teaching a
Sunday sermon. After earning about a year s worth of education in Theology, and a visit home
to the Netherlands, he turned back to religion and began preaching in poor regions of Borinage,
Belgium. There he preached to unfortunate coal miners and their family in Wasmes, in 1879.
Vincent wanted to ease their lives, and do what he could to better their fate. He quickly became
fond of the group, to the point where he gave away most of his belongings to those he cared for.
The Church classified his actions as asceticism, and dismissed the caring soul. He remained in
Borinage, living in profound poverty, aiming to live day by day. He began to draw what he had
witnessed, the miners conditions, and

The Roman Colosseum Essays
The Roman Colosseum, a colossal amphitheater, was built in the first century under Flavian s rule.
Many events such as gladiator games, beast fights, naval battles, and much more took place inside
the huge elliptical arena. People of all ages and classes attended these well known spectacles. The
Colosseumis a huge Roman architectural achievement and the fact that it is still standing today
only amplifies the importance of this structure. Hundred of thousands of people attended the
ancient games, and even more continue to visit the arena today.
According to Richard Watkins, author of the book Gladiator, a typical day at the games was filled
with plenty of excitement and eager fans waiting to see the upcoming events. A day at the... Show

The Colosseum s technical name is the Flavian Amphitheater, so called in praise of the emperor
who oversaw its creation. The Colosseum was begun in the year AD 72 and was still uncompleted
at the time of Vespasian s death in 79. He was succeeded by his elder son, Titus, who undertook the
completion of the Flavian Amphitheater. It was officially opened in AD 80 for the inaugural games.
Although the original name of this dynamic building was the Flavian Amphitheater, several
centuries after being built it was referred to as the Colosseum, a lasting title. The building received
this nickname from a statue that stood near the site of the arena. According to Pearson, the statue
originally was of Nero, but Vespasian changed the head of the statue to the sun god, Apollo. And it
was this colossus, with Apollo s head, that gave the arena its infamous name, the Colosseum.
The Colosseum was built in a valley found between the Esquiline, the Palatine, and the Caelian
hills. The spot chosen, where Nero s lake used to be, was interesting and made a bold statement.
Where Nero had built for his own pleasure, the Flavians built a massive structure for the public
good.
The Colosseum was the largest amphitheater of the time period. It was a huge elliptical structure
consisting of four stories, over 150 feet high. It measured 620 X 513 feet. The enclosed oval arena
measure 287 feet long X 180 feet wide.
Around the arena was a high, protective

fuel that is used to provide power to motor vehicles. Most of the vehicles today are powered by
either gasoline or diesel. Power sources may also include ethanol, biodiesel, propane,
compressed natural gas, electric batteries charged from an external source, and hydrogen. (
Wikimedia Foundation, Inc, 2015) Fuel cell vehicles (FCV) run on hydrogen gas rather than
gasoline. Several challenges must be overcome before these vehicles will be competitive with
conventional vehicles (powered by petroleum). (U.S department of energy) Research Question
Is it safe to use hydrogen, instead of petrol, as a fuel in cars? Hypothesis Hydrogen is not safer
than petrol as a fuel in cars. In 1885 a German engineer called Karl Benz fastened a small
gasoline (petrol) engine to a three wheeled cart and made the first primitive, gas powered car.
Although Benz developed the automobile, another German engineer, Nikolaus Otto he was the
man who invented the gasoline engine in the first place, about two decades earlier. The current
day engine was greatly inspired by Otto s four stroke design. (Bellis, 2015). Petroleum is also
known as crude oil and is a thick, black, energy rich liquid buried deep underground which became
the world s most important source of energy (American Association of Petroleum

Why I Want to Be a Civil Engineer
While relaxing comfortably after a day of school by playing chess with my brother, my father
asked me to accompany him to see a new client. The client told my father that he wanted a new
addition to his home since his two sons wanted to have separate rooms. I stood there earnestly
listening while my father explained to him how he was going to accomplish that and even
sketched out how the house would look afterward. The client was impressed and told my father
that he should start immediately with the project. At home, my father asked me whether I wanted
to see him at work on his new project and after agreeing enthusiastically, he got right to work
teaching me his approach for the design he would present to the architect. I will always remember
the moment when I finally saw the addition finished that my father and I had worked on. It was a
remarkable feeling because I saw a concept that was on paper come to life. Since middle school, I
have been focused on going to a collegethat will successfully prepare me for a career in engineering
. I have known that I wanted to pursue engineering ever since the moment my father introduced me
to the world of architecture and engineering. Since he is a home improvement contractor, he was
able to teach me about blueprints of previous homes that he had renovated. My father helped me
comprehend the various pages of blueprints and later allowed me to help him out in designing a
new addition for a client. But before I came to middle school,

Who Invented The Airplane Research Paper
I had always wondered how the Wright brothers invented the airplane. Slowly I had become
more and more interested in flight. Because of my interests, I decided to build a time machine in
my garage and take it to 1896, when the Wright brothers first started working on the plane. It
took me a year to completely finish the machine. Then the day finally came to test it out.
Shaking, I climbed into the small cylinder and typed in 1896. After I pressed the button the
machine shook. Nervously and excitedly I opened the door. Surprisingly I found myself in a
small town. After walking around for a while I saw two men through the window of a building.
They seemed to be building something. Looking through the window I saw the blueprints on the
table, it looked like a plane. That was exactly what I was looking for.... Show more content on

What are you building ? I asked, even though I already knew. They explained to me their whole
plan, like how they were going to make it and what they were going to make it out of. That
sounds very interesting I said. We could use an extra hand one of the brothers told me. They
asked me if I wanted to help. Very excitedly I agreed. It was very hard work ,but it was also very
fun. It was also amazing that I got to work with the Wright brothers. It took us about a year to
finish the plane. When we were finished, we ran into small problem. Who was going to be the
first to fly it? I wasn t sure I wanted to fly it but then I started thinking. How cool would it be to
be the first person to fly ! So I decided to volunteer. Everyone thought it was crazy for a girl to be
the first to fly, but I didn t listen to them. It was exciting and scary at the same time. No one knew

Paul Gauguin And Henri Matisse
Primitivism was a cultural attitude that arose in Europe during the late 19th and 20th century in
opposition to the increasingly decadent and materialistic European culture. Rather than an artistic
movement, primitivism is a European conception of foreign civilizations and lands as simple , less
developed, and naive. This is an important distinction to make, because primitivismwas defined in
the eyes of the Europeans who saw foreign civilizations as unsophisticated, indicating that the
concept of primitivism is heavily biased in the view of the Europeans. Paul Gauguinand Henri
Matisse were two artists that were highly influenced by the concept of primitivism, and some
similarity can be depicted in their works such as the use of female nudes, vivid colors, and artistic
techniques. However, their definition and methods of achieving primitivism differ heavily, due to
the fact that the vagueness of primitivism allows it to be a self defined concept. These similarities
and differences can be seen through the two works of art The Spirit of the Dead Watching by Paul
Gauguin, and The Blue Nude by Henri Matisse, and the way they depict women in each of the
pieces.
The first important similarity between the two pieces is the obvious use of the reclining female
nude. The female figure was a popular subject matter for the primitivists of this time, because
society viewed women to be more natural than men, who were more civilized. Society assumed that
women s

The Legend Of Robin Hood In Anglo-Saxon Lore
The legend of Robin Hood in Anglo Saxon lore represents the people s hero. The histories and
other few writings focused on the great deeds of high kings, lords and knights; English folk lore
gave little attention to the commoner. That is with the notable exception of the yeoman Robin
Hood. English peasants heard the tale of Robin Hoods charismatic rebellion against strict
hierarchy and rejoiced. Robin was the original rebel, the original adventurer, and the hero all
Englishmen identified with. For this reason, Robin Hood has remained a key figure in the
collective mythos of the English and of their cultural children. To understand the importance of
Robin Hood and his adventures, one must first appreciate the extremely mundane lives of the
typical English peasant farmer. Born into duty and loyalty, calcified feudalism forced the serfs
to work the land on which they were born for little profit and gain for a lifetime. Most were
illiterate, uneducated, and highly provincial. A serf s purpose was to remain loyal to his lord
and to toil obediently farming the land until death. Even the prospect of climbing into nobility
oneself was impossible. God had made serfs into serfs and lords into lords. To rebel against one s
station in life was to rebel against God. In other words, serfs had nothing to strive for in the
socioeconomic order of medieval England. These fettered minds gave birth to a hero that captured
the hopes and dreams that themselves they could never achieve. The

  • 2. It Starts With Little Annoyances It starts with little annoyances, such as loud stomping from upstairs and the occasional sounds of loud banging. Jungkook knew that having neighbors was difficult, and he prepared himself for the worst. But nothing could have prepared him for this. Jeon Jungkook, your average sophomore in university, with barely sufficient grades and a ton of snarky remarks, had been living in an apartment for nearly two years. The apartment just above his was always empty, and he had wished to keep it that way Hoseok had told him a ton of stories about his upstairs neighbor dancing and stomping at 2AM in the morning ( like what the fuck ) but sadly, luck wasn t on his side. On the ceiling, big wet drops of water were forming and dripping down his walls. He quickly runs out of the kitchen to get an empty bucket to collect the drops, but when he comes back, the room is flooded up to his knees and he panics. Jumping onto the kitchen counter, he crawls all the way to the refridgerator, and grabs his umbrella, opening it to try to shield himself from the indoor storm. Someone! he screams helplessly. He thinks of his papers on his desk that he worked so hard on, probably destroyed, and cries. Help! The front door suddenly slams open, and someone rushes into the kitchen. Hi, I m Taehyung! If Jungkook wasn t so distressed, he would ve taken time and admire the handsome stranger. If he wasn t so distressed, he would ve been ashamed of his situation: having a stranger barge into his apartment to witness him crouched on his kitchen counter holding an umbrella, screaming at the water coming out of his ceiling and crying because he had no idea what the fuck was going on. Johnson Decision To Americanize The Vietnam War Essay LBJ s decision to Americanize the war was not wise and well informed, an accurate answer for U.S. defeat in Vietnam was the decision to Americanize the war. Influencing the belief that Johnson decision to escalate appeared to have been predetermined; Johnson consistently appeared to be in favor of increasing military in South Vietnam, and he only needed something to happen in order to validate his reasoning for the increase of U.S. involvement. This something was the Tonkin Gulf incident and this event became Johnson s basis to take all necessary measures to repel any armed attack against the forces of the United States... Even with the approval of congress towards the Tonkin Gulf incident showed a misuse of power (Rotter, 77). When Dante B. Fascell said The president needed authority. So the resolution was just hammered right on through by everyone (Young, 120); this recollection makes it appear as through the Tonkin Gulf incident decision was not well informed. The resolution was the issue of Johnson s authority and the potential that offensive measures in South Vietnam could lead to a third world war (Young, 121). Another example that Americanization was unwise and not well informed was Johnson ignoring the George Ball about better solutions to help America leave the war. Once again it is the issue with Johnson s authority, he constantly ignores other possibilities of leaving Vietnam. At the end the Johnson administration would choose three tactics: bombing the North, intensify the war in the South using U.S. troops, and concentration on pacification of the ... • 4. Social Issue Of Teen Pregnancy History of the Problem: The issue of teen pregnancy in the United States first garnered the public s attention in the 1950s. Beginning with the Carter administration, every succeeding presidential administration highlights teen pregnancy as social issue that needs to be addressed (Furstenberg, 2007). The issue of teen pregnancywas first noted in the early 1950s. In Post WWII America, birth rates rose at a staggering rate among all women (Colby, 2014). In this time period, marriage and child bearing were still inextricably linked and marriage among teens also rose. Due to teens tendency to marry due to an unintended pregnancy, the issue of teen pregnancy did not gain much attention during this decade. During the 1960s, however, childbearing of women of all ages declined but much more so in older American women (Furstenberg, 2007). During this decade teens were still bearing children and at a much higher rate than their older female counterparts. This was due, in part, to the fact that teen pregnancy was usually unintended and therefore harder to manage with the contraceptive that were available at the time (Furstenberg, 2007). During this time period, it was also much harder to marry at a young age. Age of consent laws, the age that an individual can legally consent to sexual activity, have largely remained unchanged since the 1920s (Robertson, 2007). Age of consent laws vary from state to state but range from 14 to 18 in the United States (Robertson, 2007). The age for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Figure 11 illustrates that the weather events that occurred before leading up to Black Saturday can be strongly linked to the large amount of destruction caused. From both figures, it can be noted that a wind change affected the path and development of fires. In the case of Black Saturday, this extended the firefront, increasing the magnitude of the disaster. For instance, Uden (2003) states that extensive reading imitates reading in the first language in the way that its key elements are purpose and pleasure. It is based on easy material that is chosen by the learner to build language fluency and. ER allows learners to process language faster and improves comprehension. While, intensive reading refers to the careful reading of the material with the goal of complete and detailed understanding. In Britain, for example, in the eighteen and the nineteen centuries Foggart (cited in Tribble, 1996, p.11) pointed out, it is desirable that the majority should read in the way they can be given instructions and can be educated into a particular ideology, writing on the other hand assume the giving instructions and the formation of views about society . These two skills are viewed as separated skills because reading is passive and writing is productively one; however, these two language skills are complementary and can be closely developed. As Johnson (2008, p.07) believes that the relationship between these two skills is that reading helps learners become better writer, by making them in contact with the rules of grammar, consequently they develop the language structure, grammar and increase their vocabulary; hence, reading in the writing classroom is understood as the appropriate input for the acquisition of writing skill since it is believed that reading passages will somehow function as primary model for which writing skill can be learned, or at least inferred (Eisterhold, 1990, ... The subject of the book penetrates to the heart of a Child s in depth world, forming a subtle, yet considerable linkage of impressions, feelings, and relationships. The nous style of the writer Roy, whose literature imitates her infantile on the Canadian steppe, has often been compared with others. The book entails the four significant stories which are related to the young girl named Christine, from the period for her innocence to maturity. According to the understanding of this book, the purpose of this piece of literature is to make others understand the importance and power of the development of the relationship between a mother and a daughter. Moreover, in her writing, Gabrielle Roy allowed nothing peripheral or false to stand, according to many. The four allied stories divulge reflective moments during her early years in the massiveness of Manitoba. However, all the mentioned characters and events express writer s obsession with childhood till the old age, the passage of the time as well as the mystery of change, and the artist s relation to the world. • 14. Ap Biology Light Intensity Lab Shannen Lemke 7th period 11/17/17 Light Intensity lab Research Question Does light intensity affect the rate of photosynthesis in algae beads? I was hoping to discover what plants thrive in different lights for future references. I was hoping to find relevant information that will help me make decisions on what plants to purchase. Hypothesis Light intensity does affect the rate of photosynthesis. Too much light may cause plants to burn out or stop producing oxygen while too little light will not provide enough light for optimal photosynthesis activity and CO2 would stop be taken in and oxygen would stop being produced. Background When using algae beads and a CO2 indicator, the process of Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration can be measured. In this experiment the intensity of light will be altered in each trail, and the rate of Photosynthesis will then be measured. As you rise from low light intensity to higher light intensity, the rate of photosynthesis will increase because there is more light available to drive the reactions of photosynthesis. However, once the light intensity gets high enough, the rate won t increase anymore since there will be more light than water and CO2; there will not be enough components from light, water, and CO2 to create the process of Photosynthesis. As CO2 dissolves and the amount of CO2 goes up, the pH will lower, which means the solutions color will change varying form red, orange and yellow, all pending on what the pH is at. CO2 will be produced from respiration, all while photosynthesis absorbs the CO2. This means that when the rate of photosynthesis is less than respiration, pH levels will decrease, and CO2 concentration will increase. Vis versa, when pH levels increase and CO2 concentration decreases, the photosynthesis rate is greater than the respiration rate. When limiting amount of light that is allowed to be transmitted, Neutral density filters can be used. These filers reduce the amount of light that is allowed to pass through. In this experiment the neutral density filters will be used to decrease the amount of light that is allowed to penetrate the algae beads. Two different density s will be test through this experiment, one density, which is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Pound begins the poem explaining how he was a tree amid the wood meaning a changed being amid a familiar yet under perceived environment. He likens this form to the myth of Apollo who chases Daphne until she asks the god, Peneus, to change her into a tree. The first and last identical lines are, The eyes of this dead lady speak to me. This repetition makes me believe that he did not know who the lady was, but he feels a haunting connection to her somehow. Pound recognizes a passion in the woman that is so strong, it is conveyed even from a two dimensional image of her. This must have meant that she moves Pound in a way he has experienced before. His desire to feel this emotion again is no less just because she is dead. By repeating the first line at the end of the poem, Pound drives home the strength of his feeling for the woman considering that the entire poem is only four lines in total. The title does not give much away about the poem except that it is about a picture. Nevertheless, it does tell that the picture means something to Pound because he titled it The Picture , not A Picture which would probably be about pictures in general. Ezra Pound reveals his emotional side in this poem and demonstrates his passion and perception of unspoken language. Ezra Pound explains his view on marriage in his poem, The Altar . He says in the first line Let us build here an exquisite friendship. The exquisite friendship is a symbol for marriage and the altar is the place where that marriage begins. For this matter, I think a possible theme in this story is to never give, just like Lupe did. A couple reasons why, are because she practices, perseveres, and always gives 100% effort. To begin, one reason why a possible theme could be to never give up is Lupe practices. At the beginning of the story Lupe did fingertip pushups. She did 20 of them in sets of five, so every so often she could take a break. This seems like a lot to ask from someone who isn t that strong. She also squeezed a eraser for a long time. Bankregulations are a kind of government regulation that makes banks liable to certain requirements, restrictions and guidelines. The condenser also functions to maintain the temperature throughout the heating process and thereby maximizing the accuracy of the experimental results. The addition of boiling chips in the heating process to dissolve the diphenyl serves to minimize the possibility of the occurrence of bumping, i.e. sudden explosive boiling whereby large bubbles erupt from the heated solution. Instead, a steady stream of small air bubbles is produced with the addition of the chips. Subsequently after complete dissolving of the crude diphenyl, an additional 15 mL of ethanol is added to ensure that all the crude diphenyl is dissolved. A small amount of decolourising charcoal is added to the solution mixture. The decolourising charcoal serves to remove any impurities in the mixture, by adsorbing substances responsible for colouration of the solution on its surface via its activated properties. A small amount is used as the desired product may be adsorbed as well if a large amount is used instead. The mixture is filtered via a preheated stemless glass funnel immediately after boiling for 10 15 minutes. This is to prevent any early crystallization of the mixture since its crystallization temperature is quite low. The use of preheated apparatus for filtration is also to minimize premature crystallization of the mixture. Filtration of the mixture while it is still hot is to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

So I suggested we should drop a car down a track and see how the terrain effects the effects how long it takes the toy car to go down the binders. We liked this idea because we could apply it to real life when you re driving places. Also who doesn t want to play with toy cars it sounds fun. The question we are trying to answer is how does the terrain effect the speed of a toy car. With four terrains rainy, sandy, normal, and bumby. Changing the terrain will change the friction changing the speed of the toy car. My independent variable is the surface the toy car is sliding down on top of the binder. The sand will cause more friction, the dents will act like a hill and speed it up just to slow it down going up the hill. But the water would act as a lubricant. The dependent variable is the amount of time to finish the length of the two binders (or the race,) to track how long it takes for the car to finish the race. The reasoning why this variable is going change is because of different amounts of friction will slow the toy car down. This is the variable I will get my data from.the way the amount of friction affects the speed of the toy car because the amount of friction slows the speeds of moving objects this happens because the force of friction causes a opposes the motion of an object causing it to lose speed. The less speed the toy car has the longer the car will take to travel the distance of the two binders.Water is a lubricant a lubricant is something that lessens friction therefore it should make the toy car insell in speed making it go ... They believed in a stronger national government and Congress right to regulate trade. In response to Shay s rebellion which consisted of farmers protesting taxes, a convention was called for by Madison and Hamilton to be held in Philadelphia in 1787. The software also needs to be designed that once the data has been retrieved for an audit, it can no longer be changed unless it is approved through the chain of command. These computers need to have the security screen protection covers placed over them so visitors cannot see the screen as the staff is documenting. I also think we should install the fingerprint identification to allow fast and easy access to the system, so the staff is able to complete real time charting and in the event of an emergency they are not trying to type out their password and forgetting, having this device installed will also ensure that patients are not able to can access to the computer (Maksimov Kalkis, 2016). ... • 35. Informative Essay On Fireworks Morrison, Haley Chemistry, Period 5 Due Date: November 17, 2017 Every 4th of July, many people go out at night and spend hours watching firework shows. Most of us are content to simply enjoy the pretty colors and sparks, without questioning the chemistry behind the spectacle, but have you ever really thought about how fireworks produce such vibrant colors? The colors emitted when a firework explodes come from an aerial shell inside the firework that contains explosive chemicals and metallic salts. These colors appear to us because of luminescence. Luminescence occurs as a result of the valence electrons in the metal salt atoms moving and changing positions. The explosion of fireworks is not a miracle; it s simply chemistry at work. When we see fireworks explode, what we re actually seeing is the explosion of components inside the aerial shell. The aerial shell is made up of gunpowder and stars, small lumps that are comprised of fuel, an oxidizing agent, a metal containing colorant, and a binder. These stars are what give the fireworks their colors. (De Antonis, pg 8). The metal containing colorant produces the color when it s exposed to a flame (in this case, the ignition of the gunpowder) then the fuel and oxidizing agent combine to create a chemical reaction that yields powerful heat and gas (De Antonis, pg 8).The binder holds all these ingredients together when the firework explodes. • 45. Paul Gauguin And Henri Matisse Primitivism was a cultural attitude that arose in Europe during the late 19th and 20th century in opposition to the increasingly decadent and materialistic European culture. Rather than an artistic movement, primitivism is a European conception of foreign civilizations and lands as simple , less developed, and naive. This is an important distinction to make, because primitivismwas defined in the eyes of the Europeans who saw foreign civilizations as unsophisticated, indicating that the concept of primitivism is heavily biased in the view of the Europeans. Paul Gauguinand Henri Matisse were two artists that were highly influenced by the concept of primitivism, and some similarity can be depicted in their works such as the use of female nudes, vivid colors, and artistic techniques. However, their definition and methods of achieving primitivism differ heavily, due to the fact that the vagueness of primitivism allows it to be a self defined concept.
