In this section, we will look at how each factor was affected by the forcing boundary conditions set
in the six experiments we ran. The results section will be organized in sections by factor.
Annual Planetary Albedo
First we will address results about how annual planetary albedo was affected by altering the
forcings in the simulations. Overall, when comparing Control Experiment (Modern Specified
SST) to Primary Experiment 3 (Ice Age 21kya run), we observed a relatively higher planetary
albedo during the Last Glacial Maximum, with an average of 2.37% increase. In areas with known
ice sheets, such as the Laurentide Ice Sheet over the upper section of North America or the
Scandinavian Ice Sheet over Northern Europe, there was a much more drastic change in albedo. In
these regions, the albedo was significantly higher during the LGM, up to 27% higher in certain
areas. Albedo was also higher south of the equator in the oceans surrounding the Antarctic. Some
parts of the earth had a near neutral change in planetary albedo, mostly in low latitude areas like
the tropics. This can be seen in Figure 1. When put side by side, Figure 1 shows little resemblance

In her article Isabella Whitney and the Female Legacy (1991), Wendy Wall examines the effect that
early female writers had on breaking gender barriers in 16th century England. Wall specifically
focuses on the impact of Isabella Whitney s writings during a period during which women still
struggled to achieve independence and power in a dominating patriarchal system. In this article,
Wall credits Whitney for overcoming the many obstacles women faced in their attempts to become
published writers, and truly creating a legacy for women throughout history with her efforts. Wall
first discusses the obstacles that female writers of the 16th centuryfaced when seeking publication.
One major obstacle was the genderstereotypes of this period. Women were expected remain in the
home, while caring for her children and husband. It was considered unacceptable for a woman of
this period to have a career or economic prospects of her own, since men were in complete control.
In addition to the gender barriers, female and male writers alike each faced publication obstacles

Differences Between The North And South Of The World
Inequality, a topic that I believe runs through the centre of Geography, dominates both the UK,
and the entire world. In the UK, numerous economic, cultural and political factors divide the
North from the South. To name a few: there is a missing year of life expectancy north of the line,
children south of the line are much more likely to attend Russell group universities, house prices
have recently soared in the South, and politically, the South tend to vote conservative, while the
North vote labour. Similar geographical concerns are occurring on an international level. In my
opinion, this divide between the North and South of the world is being exacerbated by
