Plato s Allegory Of The Cave And The Matrix By The Wachowskis
Plato once said that, Ignorance [is] the root and stem of all evil . Ignorance is the cause of
everything that is wrong and bad in the world since people are unable to see the truth. If people
start breaking free from ignorance, mankind will become happier and more transparent. In the short
story, Allegory of The Cave by Platoand The Matrix by the Wachowskis, they portray the idea that
in order to gain enlightenment, one must break free from ignorance; which opens himself to
knowledge; this new truthmust then be shared with others for the good of mankind.
The cave dweller and Neo both live a life of ignorance by thinking that their world is real, when in
reality their world is keeping them from seeing the truth. Both Neo and the ... Show more content on

Inside his workspace is a cubicle that is identical to the other cubicles on his floor. There are
many cubicles in rows of each other. Neo and his coworkers are all trapped in the world of their
work. The workers all do the same thing, they work in the same building and work in identical
offices. Neo talks to his boss and his boss wants Neo at a specific time. Everyone in the office
building is dressed up nicely and dressed uniformly. The color of the offices were gray and
monotone(Wachowski). The idea of people being ignorant is seen here because they are all
acting and working the same exact way. The colors show how dull and unexciting their life is. It
shows that instead of living a life of risk they are living a life as people with no personality.
When Neo s boss talks to him, he is telling Neo what to do and how to act. Instead of Neo having
free choice, he is ordering him to get to work on time and to do work. Neo knows something is
wrong in his world. Morpheus tells Neo that There s a splinter in [Neo s] mind [that is] driving
[him] mad (Wachowski). Neo knows that there is something wrong about his world. He is staying
ignorant because he isn t doing anything to get out of this state. The ignorance is driving [Neo]
mad which proves that he is conforming to ignorance. The splinter demonstrates that Neo knows
something is wrong about his world which causes him to get mad and find truth.
Those people who are ignorant won t be able to break

Colorado Creative Music
Colorado Creative Music
A company without a strategic vision is like a fish out of water gasping for air. This analogy
strikes an honest chord with Colorado Creative Music (CCM). In order for a company to be
success in the marketplace, it must have a clear vision statement. The company must also be
founded by core business competencies that will allow the business to operate flawlessly.
This essay will provide an overview of CCM, a situational analysis, a problem analysis including
analysis of each business function, recommendations for the company, and a plan for implementing
the proposed recommendations.

Another problem for CCM is Skanson is currently the general manager, leading talent developer,
and the leading performer. Skanson spends a majority of his time on tour promoting his music,
which leads to little time for managing the company.
Distribution
Distribution channels are another problem for CCM. CD revenues generated from performances
accounted for approximately 85% of total sales in 2000. Wholesale revenues were approximately
6% of total sales. Direct mail sales accounted for approximately 6% of sales, while online sales
accounted for a mere 3% of sales. CCM recognized that the price its wholesalers were charging
chain stores was preventing its music from entering the market.
Financial
Financially, CCM is in distress. The company realized a net profit of $20,626.70 in 1998, but
despite additional sales growth and additional years of experience, the company only realized
$4,292.00 in net income in 2000. The company s gross profit increased steadily form 1997 to
2000, but expenses have also increased steadily.
Technology
CCM isn t technologically up to date. The company is currently operated out of a large rental
house. If CCM wants to grow and attract potential artists and employees, the company should
move into a facility equipped to handle a record label. If CCM wants to be considered a reputable
record label, it needs to have all the amenities of a recording studio. For

The Importance Of Financial Analysis
The financial analysis has been done and on the basis of NPV and IRR projections we accept
the project because NPV is positive at 15% nominal rate of return and the IRR is 64% without
Anna s concerns and IRR is 51% with regard to her concerns. So, we accept the project because
in both the situations, the project seems acceptable and profitable. Annual Net present value
with IRR or not in sheet 1 is positive, which shows that it is a good idea to continue the project
due to the net cash flows are made positive by an increase in the value of sales. Annual net

Payback period also doesn t specify any required comparison to other investments or even to not
making an investment. The internal rate of return has limitations such as not being an investment
decision tool to rate mutually exclusive projects but only for deciding if a single project is worth
investing in. Internal rate of return overestimates the yearly equivalent rate of return for a project
whose interim cash flows are reinvested at a rate lower than the calculated IRR. IRR doesn t
consider cost of capital, it should not be used to compare projects of different duration. IRR may

state having complete power to enact legislation regarding all property, events, institutions, and

sovereignty that can be used in this context. They are, rule and existing as an independent state and
supremacy in respect of power, domination, or rank; supreme dominion, authority, or rule. Inherent
in the definition of sovereignty is independence and the ability to make decisions without

Inuktitut, translated with English captions along with the refusal to edit out scenes of everyday

Differences Between Different Organisational Structures...
Introduction
It is needless to say that the ultimate success of an organisation is heavily dependent on the
performance of the people in the organisations. However, it is seen that different organisations
share different cultures and behavioral pattern among the people in the organisation. In that case,
the organisations behavior and culture can be differentiated from each others in terms of the
behavior, ethics and the organisational hierarchy etc (Robbins and Coulter, 2005). In this
assignment, the organisational structure, peoples behavior and other dimensions of the organisations
in terms of the behavioral pattern, values and the styles of the people and managers in the
organisations have been addressed choosing some organisations to show the scenario.
1. Task 1
1.1 Compare and contrast different organisational structures and culture. You can choose to cover
from the following categories.
There are some types of the organisational structures such as tall, flat, hierarchal and etc. In addition
to that, the control of an organisation can be centralized or delegated. However, different types of
the organisational structures suits different organisations that are made for doing different kind of
jobs (Robbins and Coulter, 2005). In this case, tall and flat organisational structures are chosen for
contrasting the organisational structures along with example.

Women In Their Eyes Were Watching God
The husbands in each novel consider women to be nothing outside of their marriages and do not
think women have a distinguished place of their own. The role that African American men play
in both books are pivotal to how readers see the oppression of Celie and Janie. It is important to
acknowledge that because there was little black men had power over, they exerted patriarchal
dominance over their wives. In Their Eyes Were Watching God Janie experiences the effects of this
and at this point is not strong enough to stand up and assert herself. Logan Killicks, Janie s first
husband, and Janie had very different perspectives on love. For him, loving his wifeinvolved only

reader would only need those few words to take away from it the point. It is clear that Albert
thinks Celie s life is worthless and because of this, the sins he commits against her do not matter.
It is understandable that for most of the novel Celie thinks it is not wise to stand up for herself
as she has witnessed a fraction of the repercussions it may cause. In this moment she grasps
some courage and shouts, I curse you, I say. What that mean? He say. I say, Until you do right
by me, everything you touch will crumble. He laugh. Who you think you is? He say. You can t

surprises him. His only defense is to insult her and yet he does so with some characteristics he too
possesses. Until this moment Mr._____ (Albert), looks through Celie and treats her as an object
that he can abuse and manipulated as his disposal. Janie and Celie s husbands both view them in a
similar manner. Although their personalities and internal mindsets differ, both of these women inch

What it Takes for a Site to be Inscribe on the UNESCO...
The process required for a site to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List is long and
complicated. It has four main steps, each of which are a process in themselves: placement on a
tentative list, submission of a nomination file, evaluation by an Advisory Body, and a final decision
by the World Heritage Committee. The entire process usually takes about a year and a half, but can
vary depending of the time taken for each step (World Heritage Ireland, 2010). In order to submit
sites to the World Heritage List, a country must first sign the World Heritage Convention, thereby
committing to protecting their natural and culture heritage. After that, the State Party, in Ireland s
case, the Department of Arts, Heritage and the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The State Party should include both a management history of and a history of the culture
surrounding the site in order to help establish its authenticity, integrity, and how it fits the selection
criteria. The definitions of authenticity and integrity that UNESCO uses are in the Nara Document
on Authenticity (World Heritage Ireland, 2010). The State Party can demonstrate the authenticity
and integrity by listing and defending any and all works completed on the site, whether for
conservation, restoration, or adaptation (World Heritage Ireland, 2010). This history of works is
important, because if a site has been reconstructed so many times that barely an of the original
survives, the site may no longer have authenticity. The history of the site itself and the surrounding
culture is also important, because it helps to demonstrate the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV)
of the site, as well as how it might fit the criteria as a unique or exceptional example of cultural
traditions, civilizations living or dead, or any of the other ten criteria. The nomination file also has
to contain a management plan to insure the OUV, authenticity, and integrity of the site are
maintained for future generations. The management plan can be one of the most difficult aspects of
the nomination file, because it requires so much cooperation between all of the owners of the site,

What Is The Role Of Fate In Romeo And Juliet
A person is never completely in control of their life. There is always some type of outside force,
or fate, influencing a person s actions and decisions. The philosophy of fate often relates to
astrology, the belief that celestial bodies influence human action. The characters in Romeo and
Juliet by William Shakespeare believe that fate and the stars have absolute control over their lives
and the actions they perform during the play. Fate determines who lives and who dies throughout
Romeo and Juliet. While explaining events that are going to happen in the play, the Chorus
declares, From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star crossedlovers take their life,

While Romeo is in the Capulet tomb, he sees Juliet s dead body and says, For fear of that I still
will stay with thee And never from this palace of dim night Depart again. Here, here will I
remain With worms that are thy chambermaids. O, here Will I set up my everlasting rest And
shake the yoke of inauspicious stars From this world wearied flesh! Eyes, look your last
(5.3.106 112). Romeo thinks that he can defy the stars by making a rash decision to kill himself.
Sadly, Romeo does not know that Juliet is alive, and his careless decision to kill himself is for
nothing. Similarly, Juliet makes an irrational decision to kill herself once she sees Romeo
laying next to her, dead. Juliet says, Yea, noise? Then I ll be brief. O happy dagger, This is thy
sheath. There rust and let me die (5.3.174 175). After seeing Romeo dead, grief overcomes Juliet,
and she decides to kill herself with Romeo s dagger. Fate causes Juliet to do this because she
would rather die than live without her husband. This pair of quotes displays how fate forces the
characters in Romeo and Juliet to make reckless decisions, and act upon impulse rather than assess
the situation they are in, and then make a

The United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, a census was taken every 10 years starting from 1801. With the exception
of 1941 due to the Second World War, the census kept a very good idea of the current population
and assisted in predicting futures sizes. Population data for years prior to the census was provided
from directories and gazetteers as many churches took number on the size of its inhabitants.
Estimated in the 1500s, Scotland had a populationof 500,000 persons, and according to the 2011
census, the country has reached an extraordinary 5,295,000 persons. As of 2012, the birth rate was

more than doubled between the years of 2003 and 2013. Formerly only 60 persons reached this
age in a generation have now escalated to 130 males. The females, starting off substantially

Confucian Analects And Ban Zhao s Lessons For A Woman
Though authored possibly centuries apart, the Confucian Analects and court historian Ban Zhao s
Lessons for a Woman have far more similarities than they do differences. The truth is that when
considered in the context of their societies, the two texts actually serve to complement each other,
and do so quite successfully. Technically written as instructions on maintaining order and progress
in government and society, the Analects are very widely directed (Bentley, Traditions and
Encounters, 101). While some of the text claims to be private conversations between Confuciusand
other men, the instructions and suggestions are universally applicable. As all of the teachings of
Confucius, the Analects are not meant to answer theological or spiritual... Show more content on

Ban Zhao begins her text utilizing a bit of her own advice. She humbles herself immediately in a
rather demeaning opening paragraph regarding her own educational background. The text
covers the three primary functions of women in ancient Chinese society: as unmarried
daughters, as wives and mothers, and their role in the preservation of spiritual matters. She
stresses the development of four womanly qualifications that include virtue, words, bearing and
work (Ban Zhao, Lessons for a Woman, 4). The basic virtues of women stem from (similarly to
the Analects) humility, and respect. A true quietness of spirit and mind, a lack of foolishness,
and an exhibit of modesty are required to demonstrate the true humility of a woman (Ban Zhao,
Lessons for a Woman, 4). She is also to possess a diligence in labor that surpasses those around
her; putting others always before herself. These traits are to be developed and displayed even
before marriage, as without them, how can her name be honored; how can [a woman] but bring
disgrace on herself? (Ban Zhao, Lessons for a Woman, 2). Humility is stressed at the foundation of

The Intertropical Convergence Zone Plays a Large Role in...
The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is a permanent low pressure feature that lies on the
meteorological equator. It is characterisied by lots of cloud cover and precipitation (Andrews et
al., 2003). The ITCZ plays a significant role in the climate and weather events in the tropics. The
clouds created by the ITCZ also provide an important form of albedo in the tropics (Waliser and
Gautier, 1993),which has an effect on global climate. Tropical events such as monsoonand cyclones
occur in the ITCZ and are products of the unique convection system found around the ITCZ
(Yancheva et al., 2007, Ferreira and Schubert, 1997).The ITCZ is a product of humid trade winds
from the northern and southern hemisphere converging and then rising. This rising of humid air
usually results in precipitationover the tropics(Waliser and Somerville, 1994). This rising of the
humid air acts as the driving force in the Hadley Cell (Waliser and Somerville, 1994). The ITCZ is
a product of high levels of solar radiation and high amounts of latent heat released from the ocean
(Andrews et al., 2003). It is important to realize that the ITCZ moves throughout the year
depending on the seasons, it is likely to be found in the southern hemisphere in the southern
hemisphere summer and in the northern hemisphere during the northern hemispheres summer.
However the ITCZ is more likely to be found in the Northern hemisphere (Waliser and Somerville,
1994). The ITCZ plays a large role in many of the climatic

How Does Rap Culture Influence Black Community
Rap Culture s Influence on Black Communities Rap music, originated in the United States in the
1970s. Since the beginning of the rap era, rap stars have had a distinctive style that susceptible
listeners have mimicked as rap has become increasingly popular. Rap stars set trends that their fans
emulate, they contribute a lot to what is seen as fashionable to the youth. This leads to the
exploitation of the black community and unrealistic body goals.
From Rap Stars to Fashion Icons Rap originally was used to express the feelings of African
Americans who were oppressed and often lived in crime ridden neighborhoods and came from
lamentable environments. Like punk and the blues, these arts allowed people to make a statement,
whether political or emotional. These practices spread globally around the 1980s as fans could

that he can t promise to bring everyone home alive but he promises that he will be the first
soldier to step onto the field and the last to step off. Moore also promises that he won t leave
anyone behind, dead or alive. When the cavalry was sent to kill the vietnamese they didn t have
very much information on the enemy at all. The cavalry didn t know the numbers they d be up

Emperor Penguin Climate Change
These massive changes in climate over millions of years brought about new species and ended
others. As we are living in a cold period in the history of the earth s climate, small temperature
changes are attributed to increased levels of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. The important
question is: how will these changes, man made or otherwise, impact existing species? One easily
observed example is Emperor penguins, residents of the shores and ice shelves of Antarctica. With
increasing temperature of the ocean, the sea ice where they live melts, eliminating nesting areas,
the sea levels rise, reducing shore habitat, and food supply becomes limited. The penguins main diet
consists of krill, fish, and squid. Antarctic krill populations, their... Show more content on

The ones residing on the northern coast of Antarctica are prone to ice melting, due to the increasing
temperatures in the spring which shorten the ice season. Those on the southern coast are of least
concern due to the fact that the temperature there fluctuates less drastically. Regarding the penguins
nesting places, immense ice sheets are essential for them to hatch and raise chicks; during the ice
season, Emperor penguins march 60 100 miles to their rookery around May, where they lay,
incubate, and hatch their eggs. Usually, the chicks begin fledging about December and the adults
leave. However, if the ice season is shorter due to warmer temperatures, the ice breaks earlier.
Before the baby penguins can fully fledge and retain waterproof and swimming capabilities, the
only habitat they know is swallowed into the ocean. Then, the immature chicks, unable to swim, are
swept into the sea where they drown. The quintessential nesting grounds of Emperor penguins allow
for expansion of their species. After all, predation by leopard seals and killer whales naturally
reduces the population, and they must repopulate to sustain. The specific, freezing march of
Emperor penguins to their nesting grounds was displayed in the acclaimed French documentary
March of the Penguins. The documentary was recorded in the southern region of Antarctica, where
temperatures recorded have less effect on the early

Logic And Logic Of Computer Science And Computers
1.Introduction
The purpose of this report is to give information on the subject known as Logical reasoning and
its use in Computer Science and computers in general. A historical background behind logic and
Logical reasoning is firstly given, followed by an overview of the modern subject and the types it
s divided into. The types are then explained. The overlap between the field of logic and that of
computer science is also given an explanation. The report ends with a brief overview on the subject
and its tie to computer science and computing.
2.History of Logic and Reasoning
2.1 Logic in Greece and Europe
The term Logic hails from the ancient Greek word logike and is a discipline which utilizes and
studies valid reasoning. It is heavily relied upon in a number of subjects such as mathematics,
philosophy and computer science, its roots being traced to ancient civilizations including Greece,
India, China and Persia.
In Europe logic was first employed by Aristotle, his so called Aristotelian logic was widely used in
science and mathematics until the early 19th century. During the Middle and High middle ages
people went to great lengths to show that his ideas were compatible with the Cristian faith, by that
time logic had become the main focus of philosophers. 2.2 Logic in India
In India logic went under the name of Nyaya, it underwent dynamic changes from its founding in
ancient times up to the early 18th century. According to some people Indian logic contains ...the

The Pharmacy Is Not Only A Source Of Medications But Of...
The pharmacy is not only a source of medications but of education and technology use.
The pharmacy plays a crucial role in the hospital because without it, physicians and nurses wouldn t
be able to treat their patients effectively.
The pharmacy is essential to the treatment of disease, since the pharmacy is the site where both
intravenous and pill medications such as chemotherapy and antibiotics are made and dispensed
according to what patient needs. At the hospital, the pharmacy takes care of both inpatients and
outpatients for both prescriptions and over the counter medications. Those who work at the
pharmacy also educated patients and healthcare workers about the side effects of medications,
which medications can be mixed and, especially for stronger medications, the known risks of
taking them. These educational measures are performed to prevent overdose, the inappropriate
use of medications, such as antibiotics, and to give the patients as to what is normal and to be
expected from taking a medication and what symptoms should raise a cause of concern. One way
this duty is performed is by rounds. A round is where the pharmacist along with other doctors such
as a dietitian, social worker, physical therapist, speech therapist, the attending nurse, and the
primary physician, as well as any other specialist whose expertise may be in need, get together to
discuss a group of patients and what is being done about their care and how it can be improved.

Dante s Moral Beliefs Of Christianity And Islam
Dante s christian version of hell reflects his upbringing; it also reflects his life as a man caught
between shackles of the Middle Ages and the liberation of the Renaissance. In Islam sins are
similar, in both Christianity and Islam believe in similar concepts such as Jesus, but Jesus story has
different details between both religions and Christianitys sins and Islamhas a vastly different moral
compass.
.
Christianity and Islam have vastly different morals, but one is blasphemy against God. In Islam,
the Five Pillars of Islam set the framework of the model Muslim life. The first pillar in Islam is
Shahada, the Muslim profession of faith, which expresses the two simple and fundamental beliefs
that make one a Muslim: La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah.
This means that there is no god but God and Muhammad is the messenger of God. The worst sin
in Islam is to associate God with partners or a son because it portrays God as human like or not
one of a kind because in Islam there is only one God and nothing is like him. In the Bible, it s
written in Matthew 12:31 32: And I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but
the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son
of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven,
either in this age or in the age to come. In Christianity, blasphemy against Jesus is not considered a
one time offense; rather, it is a stubborn way of

Connell (1995) developed this concept to describe how masculinities are always relational and,
thus, one s identity is continually constructed in relation to otherness. Crucially, Connell sees
masculinity as integrally connected with power and constantly negotiated.

American spectacle for centuries. This history moves from public rapes, beatings, and lynching s

powerful sites to collectively identify with masculinity and an ideology of male physical and

Globalisation
Globalisation has become a fashionable term used for numerous years amongst humanities and
social sciences. Usage of this term has been driven by an academic fascination with the world as an
increasingly interconnected place, in which localized forms of culture have become increasingly
subject to homogenizing global influences (Maguire, J)
An element of globalisation can be identified by joining with Robertson (1992) in saying that
globalisation refers to the crystallisation of the whole into a whole space.

Biography of Alexandre Dumas
Alexandre Dumas was a descendant of a nobleman and the son of a general (Benton), and
continued his family legacy by writing about 300 fiction and non fiction books, plus creating six
different periodicals (Benton). His writing styles and characters embody his life experiences as
many writers do, and provides the oppurtunity to look back in time to see parts of French social
culture, for example how its classes were defined and people s opinions on what was acceptable and
what wasn t through use of euphanisms. The main influences on Alexandre Dumas when writing
The Count of Monte Cristowere religion, especially Catholicism, his father, the French
Revolution, the movement of French Romanticism, and a man named Picaud. It is clear that
during Dumas time in France, the Catholic religion was clearly favored in France with articles
like The Concordat of 1815, which Kristen Hosack explains that, The agreement recognized
Catholicism as the religion of the great majority of citizens, and the clergy. (Hosack 32) and also
the French Constitution of 1830, which, although it promised freedom of religion, also gave
compensation to ministers of the Catholic... religion. (Halsall). These two documents were both
publicised during Dumas life and prior to The Count of Monte Cristo, so it is acceptable to say
that Catholicism was the religion of France during this era. Dumas makes constant references to
God in Monte Cristo, and also creates a Christ symbolism with Monte Cristo,

Nfl Rule Changes
Rule changes in the NFL have been made throughout the history of the league to improve the
game, make it more exciting and reduce the risk of injury. Safety rules are one of the most
important and effective ways in which the NFL and its owners can help protect the health of
players. By helping to identify, promote and enforce safe on field conduct (in concert with off the

integrity of the game. The NFL has established a strong set of rules through the years focused on
player safety, designed to promote fair competition while attempting to minimize risk of harm to the

My Experience In Football
Football has been a major part of my life for seven years now, it has also taught me many
important life lessons never give up in difficult times, always work as a team and never put
yourself first. During my years of playing, I ve gotten injured multiple times and I came back
stronger but this time it ll be harder.
On the third play of defense I shot off the line and barely slipped by the offensive tackle who
aimed to take out my legs. I bolted down the line pursuing the ball carrier in a mass of offenders
and I was getting ready to tackle the running back. I had planted my foot to help tackle the running
back and all of a sudden the bottom part of my left leg crunched. I tried to get off the ground but
it was difficult. I kept trying to stand up, but my leg wouldn t let me, it kept knocking me off of
my feet. I eventually got up on my right leg and started hopping to the side line. The whole time
I was screaming at the coaches to get me a substitute and I was cursing as well. I was about
halfway to the sideline before I started crying, but I wasn t crying because it hurt, I was crying
because this was my year to do the best that I ever had in football, my senior year. I got to the
sideline and the coaches guided me to the bench and sat me down. The trainer Mike, Rachel, and
one of the coaches kept telling me everything will be okay. I couldn t even listen to them. They
were just distant voices when they were talking, it just made me aggravated. I knew it wasn t okay.

Kitchen, By Banana Yoshimoto
In ancient Japanese history, a time that predates the creation of Buddhism, Shintoism emerged into
Japan s main religion. Essentially, the main belief in Shintoism is that there is a powerful sense of
the presence of gods and spirits in nature ( URI Kids: World Religion ) Yoshimoto presents the
character Mikage Sakurai because Mikage encapsulates the Shintoism core values. Mikage Sakurai,
a recently orphaned teenage girl, struggles with the loss of her last living relative, her grandmother.
Throughout the novel, Mikage evolves and matures into a wiser and more developed young adult.

The imagery that is so focused on, in this novella, stems from the core beliefs of Shintoism.
Essentially, the main ideology of Shintoism is that nature possesses ethereal qualities; Nature
represents something much bigger than what individuals normally would perceive. Mikage lives
with the Tanabes for a couple of months and she begins feeling more comfortable in her own
skin. She is able to exercise her love of cooking and she is able to mature into a more independent
adult. Yuichi suggests that she should make new address cards. While they are preparing the cards,
Mikage notices how Outside, a warm wind came roaring up, a spring storm (Yoshimoto 28). The
wind illustrates Mikage s continuation to allow people to assist with her life decisions, however,
the warm[th] of the wind suggests that the people in her life, Eriko and Yuichi, are guiding her to
the path that Mikage needs to be on. Yoshimoto writes about the spring storm to metaphorically
show that although, storms often bring destruction and loss, spring is a sign of restoring something
completely new (28). Often, spring represents the renewal and rebirth of nature. Yoshimoto uses the
storm to emphasis that, like storms , people are unpredictable and they are constantly recreating
and destroying parts of themselves. In a way, Mikage is essentially reborn; she is eliminating

Similarities Between To Kill A Mockingbird And The Help
Compare how the theme of courage is explored in To Kill a Mockingbird and The Help?
Mental and moral courage are different types of courage that are demonstrated in To Kill a
Mockingbird, written by Harper Lee and The Help, directed by Tate Taylor. These can be compared
and contrasted by sharing similarities and differences through dialogue, characterisation, plot
techniques and the opinions through the eyes of different characters. These techniques are also
used to help an audience understand the different meanings of courage that are demonstrated in
these two texts.
Courage is expressed by characterisation, dialogue and plot. Showing or explaining the different
personality traits of each character highlights the acts of courage through characterisation.
Characterisation is the main technique that can be compared and contrasted between To Kill a
Mockingbird and The Help. Although every character is different, some of their beliefs, opinions
and actions are similar, which assists in creating a greater understanding of courageous, or cowardly
approaches shown in each character.
Two very courageous characters in The Help and To Kill a Mockingbird are Atticus Finch and
Eugenia Skeeter. Both characters are similar in the way that they both believe they should stand

My Hysterectomy
If you have ever ridden a roller coaster then you can comprehend where our family was. We were

In The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas, some of the citizens, the ones who walk away from
Omelas, risk their lives and happiness in order to achieve their goals of enjoyment in life.
Despite living in a utopia (on the surface), the people who leave know that there is nothing they
can do to save the boy, so their guilty conscience overcomes their happiness, causing them to
leave. This departure from Omelas shows that big sacrifice is needed for one s goals to be
reached. No one knows what happens to these people, but they risk their lives anyways in hopes
of redeeming themselves for living happily while the boy suffers. In The Boat, there is again big
sacrifice made by the characters in hopes to reach their desires, no matter what has to be lost. It
was established that the father, one in a long line of fisherman before him, was always
disappointed that he never go to pursue his education. He tries desperately to get his son to

the end, the father makes the ultimate sacrifice by presumably jumping to his death in order for
his son to follow his dreams. Additionally, the father also fulfills his goal of getting off the boat,

As humans we try to view our origin as species and it is important for us to understand how we

similar characteristics to humans, allowing us to learn more about our past. There are a few
methods that Primatologists use to make their research relevant to anthropology: field study,
laboratory study, and semi free ranging. Field studying is done in nature, where scientists study
primates in their natural habitats. Laboratory study is when the environment is completely

Prophet Jeremiah Research Paper
The prophet Jeremiah lived during the most critical period of Judah s existence. He saw the
destruction of Jerusalem. God s declared that my people have committed two evils. They have
forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold
no water. Therefore, I will, I cause to cease from the cities of Judah and from the streets in
Jerusalem, the voice in gladness and the voice in joy for the land shall become a desert. Jeremiah
had continually warned God s people to mend their ways before it was too late. And when the
devastation finally overwhelmed Israel, he was the one who mourned Israel s terrible fate. The
moral failure in Judah s leadership was largely responsible for the spiritual... Show more content on

Voices among the exiles that disbelieve and condemned Jeremiah as a mad man will not live to see
this glorious day.
There is no help for those who have God against them. Jerusalem should have been a center of
devotion but was made a center of wickedness; it is not strange if God employs the service of
destroyers. That God himself will be their enemy when a nation forgets God.
So is the plight of today s society, in particular the United States. Woe is the nation that calls good
evil and evil good. As it was in the day of Jeremiah so it is today. America has turned its back on
the God of creation. When promoting homosexual marriages that is defiant of marriage of the bible
that God instituted, one man and one women, promotion of killing innocent babies and calling
that women s right. We know that life begins at conception and only God has a right to take a
life. It is a sad day since America tries to totally wipe God out of society, Children no longer can
pray in school or read the bible or even say the pledge of allegiance to the flag. The Christian faith
now seems to be the enemy of the political

The First Japanese Dive Bombers
At 0755 the first Japanese dive bombers appeared over Hickam Field as well as Ford Island with
seconds between the two. Enemy torpedo planes and dive bombers swung in from various
sectors to concentrate their attack on the heavy ships moored in Pearl Harbor. This was the
beginning on the attack which would last for several hours destroying much of the Navy s
Pacific Fleet. The Empire of Japan surprised the US with the intention of crippling the country s
defenses, destroy the Pacific Fleet. Crippling America so they wouldn t be able to fight back as
Japan s armed forces spread across the South Pacific. On December 7, after months of planning
and practice, the Japanese launched their attack. On this day we lost more than 2,500 people
wounded at least 1,000 more. Of the ships 18 was lost and or damaged and the largest death toll
was from the USS Arizona where half of the casualties occurred. According to the US Navy s
after action report of the day 7 December, 1941 With the dropping of the first bombs on Ford
Island, Commander Patrol Wing TWO, at 0758, broadcast the warning to Al Ships Present: AIR
RAID, PEARL HARBOR. THIS IS NOT DRILL! A similar message from the Commander in
Chief followed a few minutes later.(NAVY) At 0730 the first wave of attacks which consisted of
torpedoes and dive bombers flew threw a dead zone in between the mountains of Oahu when the
planes emerged they radioed back to the carriers Tora, Tora, Tora which was the Japanese code

Argumentative Essay On Mars
Today s scientists would agree that no planet has been more steeped in myths and misconception
than Mars. Just about a hundred years ago, several scientists sincerely believed that extraterrestrial
life was present on planet Mars, so the US government listened for radio signals from Mars until
1924. In movies such as Flight to Mars(1951), Mars was portrayed as a scary, mysterious place
inhabited by hostile aliens which we know today is false. However, in 1965, NASAand JPL sent the
first spacecraft, Mariner 4, to fly by Mars. Today, there are seven active missions that are being
used to collect more data, including two rovers, Opportunity and Curiosity, which explore the
surface. Mars has been garnering a lot of attention from the media... Show more content on

It is made up largely of Carbon dioxide (95.32%), along with Nitrogen (2.7%), Argon (1.6%),

with not having a global magnetic field is radiation. The magnetic field generated by Earth s
liquid iron core shields the planet from 99.9% of harmful radiation. However, in space, radiation
is a serious hazard. The radiation dosage from the shortest round trip to Mars is about 0.66
sieverts, which is equivalent to receiving a CT scan every five or six days. The dose of radiation
one will absorb from staying at Mars for a year would range from 0.2 sieverts to 0.3 sieverts
depending on the location. To put things in perspective, absorbing a total of 8 sieverts will most
likely result in death. Also, with a significantly small amount of Oxygen (0.13%), humans would
have to wear a space suit while outside and live in pressurized habitats. Furthermore, Mars gravity
is 31% compared to that of Earth s gravity, which means that readjustments would have to be
made in order to properly walk and run. Although this is a minor difference, it is more ideal

Metamorphosis By Franz Kafka Change Essay
Change is something that can t be avoided. It is a basic quality of life and in the book The
Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka change is essential. This theme is a crucial part of this story. It is
one that influences the plot and the behavior of the characters in the story.
The first change we see, the one that I think is obviously the most important because it is the
reason all the other events in the story happen, is when Gregor goes from being a human to being
a gigantic bug. After this all of his thoughts and feelings began to change too. The awareness he
has over becoming this bug evokes him. Everything that was once familiar to him, all of the
objects that are on his room when he wakes up, become altered and unfamiliar in his bug like state.
After waking up, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
All of Gregor s family has different experiences when he chances into a bug. Because of the
change he is unable to work. This puts a burden on his family, they all end up having to find jobs.
His mother finds a job sewing lingerie for a clothing store. His sister finds a job as a salesperson,
she also begins to learn French in order to be able to move into a higher position. And his father
finds a job as a messenger. The family also had to decide on renting out rooms of their house to
add to the income. He overhears a family discussion revolving around a financial issue they had
I countered which leaves him feeling guilty. Because Gregor has now turned into a bug, the
family loses the harmony that most families have. The family members now stay away from him.
They stop interacting with each him, not even looking at him in some cases. They also don t
want to be alone with him, making sure that at least two other people are with him. Any maid that
they had or hired begged for them to be dismissed (33). Grete, Gregoer s sister then begins to do
everything for Gregor. She cleaned his room and would give him his

Extreme Sports Not About Risk Taking Essay
The extreme sports world is very unique, with a wide variety of sports to choose from and risks
that come along with them. Risks, although they do create a lot of adrenaline, are not the main
reason why these extreme athletes participate in these sports. There s a lot more to the extreme
sports world than just the adrenaline junkies and risktakers, believe it or not there is a lot more
serenity in the sports than thought to be. Extreme athletes are not all about the adrenaline rush,
there is something much deeper than that, it is where they find their peace. The variety of these
exciting sports go anywhere from BMX biking to Deep Sea Diving, each of them with their own
risks, yet people still come back for more. You would think that considering all the dangerous
factors people would be hesitant to try them, let alone continue to do them for the rest of their lives.
This notion is completely wrong, in the article Extreme Sports Not About Risk taking: Study
written by Clare Davidson, Dr. Brymer finds out... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yes, these sports are extremely dangerous when not performed properly and do come with
incredible amounts of adrenaline as they are being done, but this is not the reason theses athletes
enjoy them. Everyone has their own likings and activities in order to relax, some sit in a hot tub,
some knit, and some of us take part in sports. I have never done an extreme sport but, I do
participate in multiple sports, lots of people ask me why I do them and how can I relax while i
m running around a field or court. The sport itself gets me away from all the stress and pressures
in my life, while i m participating in a sport I love I am focused completely on the sport itself and
nothing else, I have no worries. These extreme athletes are no different from everyone else who
enjoys their free time, they just handle it

1)Flexion happens when a decrease in the angle between two body segments happens like in the
shoulder, elbow, hips and kneejoints. An example could be when using a dumbbell of 10 pounds to
curl the biceps, flexion takes place at the elbow.
2) Extension its increases in the angle of two body segments. A great example is performing triceps
extension with a dumbbell held by both hands and lift over the head until both of the arms are
extended.
3) Abduction ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Inward rotation occurs when the body segments move towards the midline, and outward rotation
occurs when the body segments move away from the midline. A great example is, rotation of the
neck it could be inwards or outwards, creating slow movements around the neck.
6) Circumduction is the sequential combination of movements outlining a geometric cone. An
example of this is a circular arm movement as a warm up in which the arms are moving forward
and backward.
One example of an exercise using a combination of several of these movements together is jumping
squats with free weights. This exercise targets the lower body, core and also the upper body. The
quadriceps, the hamstrings, the gluteal, the lower back and the abdominals. The back muscle act as
stabilizers to keep the body in a correct balance position. In the explosion phase, hip extends in a
slight adduction knee extension and ankle plantar flexion. During the landing phase, back into the
squat position, all the muscle is in an eccentric position, the hip flexion with slight abduction, knee
flexion, and ankle dorsiflexion. Jumping squats with weights are just one of the extended workouts
that utilize these principles. It is very important to understand the fundamental movements of major
body segments in order to design and execute appropriate workout for my clients and their personal

Flint Water Crisis
No Water for Flint In 2014, Flint, Michigan chose to switch their water supply from Lake Huron to
the Flint River. During this change, the city did not add any products to the water to stop it from
getting polluted. Because there were no products added to the water, the water became extremely
contaminated. There was literally no water in Flintthat was in drinking condition. Towards the end
of the Fall of 2015, Flint s water crisiswent global. After Flint s water crisis became worldwide,
there were many donations coming from various people all around the world. Celebrities and
actors/actresses were even donating thousands of bottles of water. Rapper Meek Mill donated
50,000 bottles of water to Flint, Michigan in January of 2016. Following that, a radio station called
Z107.9 donated 10,000 pallets of water. It didn t stop there. President Obama made sure that the
Administration provided $80 million to help support Flint also.
When the contamination in Flint s water system was noticed, it was because of the smell, taste,
and color. (The Humanist 23) The water pipes were deteriorating because of the polluted water,
which was causing lead to flow into the water. People immediately started complaining to their
city s mayor about the changes in the water. Soon after that, scientists from Virginia Tech
discovered it was severe lead in the water. Lead poison is known to destroy or affect almost every
organ or system in someone s body. (The Humanist 23)

From Utopia To Mill Town Analysis
Can you imagine getting up at the creak of dawn and then working for 12 plus hours? How
about wearing a dress while having to use a loom or work in the mills? Well, the women during
the 1800s where the heart and sole for the factories;not only did they have to work at such
hours, but they did it with such a grace and many were eager to work for it gave them a sense of
independence. Industrialization was the reason behind the young women working in the factories
and mills ,however it was not the best working conditions. Many of the young girls did not have
the knowledge to work with the equipment nor were they being taught; this leading to the girls

Pros And Cons Of The Declaration Of Independence
UDI BREAKDOWN OF NEGOTIATIONS The declaration of independence on November 11th was
accompanied by the announcement of a new Rhodesian constitution which provided for the
appointment of a Regent if the Queen , acting on the advice of the Rhodesian Government , did not
appoint a Governor General within a fortnight. The role of the Regent would be to act as a
constitutional President. In response the Governor, Sir Humphrey Gibbs, dismissed Smith and his
cabinet whilst the U.S. and Canadian governments withdrew their consular representatives. In
London Mr. Wilson announced the immediate imposition of economic sanctions, including a

nations united in calling for increased economic action, the recognition of an African Rhodesian
Government in exile and ultimately some form of military action including the arrest of Ian Smith.

  • 2. Plato s Allegory Of The Cave And The Matrix By The Wachowskis Plato once said that, Ignorance [is] the root and stem of all evil . Ignorance is the cause of everything that is wrong and bad in the world since people are unable to see the truth. If people start breaking free from ignorance, mankind will become happier and more transparent. In the short story, Allegory of The Cave by Platoand The Matrix by the Wachowskis, they portray the idea that in order to gain enlightenment, one must break free from ignorance; which opens himself to knowledge; this new truthmust then be shared with others for the good of mankind. The cave dweller and Neo both live a life of ignorance by thinking that their world is real, when in reality their world is keeping them from seeing the truth. Both Neo and the ... Neo and his coworkers are all trapped in the world of their work. The workers all do the same thing, they work in the same building and work in identical offices. Neo talks to his boss and his boss wants Neo at a specific time. Everyone in the office building is dressed up nicely and dressed uniformly. The color of the offices were gray and monotone(Wachowski). The idea of people being ignorant is seen here because they are all acting and working the same exact way. The colors show how dull and unexciting their life is. It shows that instead of living a life of risk they are living a life as people with no personality. When Neo s boss talks to him, he is telling Neo what to do and how to act. Instead of Neo having free choice, he is ordering him to get to work on time and to do work. Neo knows something is wrong in his world. Morpheus tells Neo that There s a splinter in [Neo s] mind [that is] driving [him] mad (Wachowski). Neo knows that there is something wrong about his world. He is staying ignorant because he isn t doing anything to get out of this state. The ignorance is driving [Neo] mad which proves that he is conforming to ignorance. The splinter demonstrates that Neo knows something is wrong about his world which causes him to get mad and find truth. Those people who are ignorant won t be able to break ... This analogy strikes an honest chord with Colorado Creative Music (CCM). In order for a company to be success in the marketplace, it must have a clear vision statement. The company must also be founded by core business competencies that will allow the business to operate flawlessly. This essay will provide an overview of CCM, a situational analysis, a problem analysis including analysis of each business function, recommendations for the company, and a plan for implementing the proposed recommendations. Another problem for CCM is Skanson is currently the general manager, leading talent developer, and the leading performer. Skanson spends a majority of his time on tour promoting his music, which leads to little time for managing the company. Distribution Distribution channels are another problem for CCM. CD revenues generated from performances accounted for approximately 85% of total sales in 2000. Wholesale revenues were approximately 6% of total sales. Direct mail sales accounted for approximately 6% of sales, while online sales accounted for a mere 3% of sales. CCM recognized that the price its wholesalers were charging chain stores was preventing its music from entering the market. Financial Financially, CCM is in distress. The company realized a net profit of $20,626.70 in 1998, but despite additional sales growth and additional years of experience, the company only realized $4,292.00 in net income in 2000. The company s gross profit increased steadily form 1997 to 2000, but expenses have also increased steadily. Technology CCM isn t technologically up to date. The company is currently operated out of a large rental house. If CCM wants to grow and attract potential artists and employees, the company should move into a facility equipped to handle a record label. If CCM wants to be considered a reputable record label, it needs to have all the amenities of a recording studio. For ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The role that African American men play in both books are pivotal to how readers see the oppression of Celie and Janie. It is important to acknowledge that because there was little black men had power over, they exerted patriarchal dominance over their wives. In Their Eyes Were Watching God Janie experiences the effects of this and at this point is not strong enough to stand up and assert herself. • 10. What it Takes for a Site to be Inscribe on the UNESCO... The process required for a site to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List is long and complicated. It has four main steps, each of which are a process in themselves: placement on a tentative list, submission of a nomination file, evaluation by an Advisory Body, and a final decision by the World Heritage Committee. The entire process usually takes about a year and a half, but can vary depending of the time taken for each step (World Heritage Ireland, 2010). The State Party should include both a management history of and a history of the culture surrounding the site in order to help establish its authenticity, integrity, and how it fits the selection criteria. The definitions of authenticity and integrity that UNESCO uses are in the Nara Document on Authenticity (World Heritage Ireland, 2010). The State Party can demonstrate the authenticity and integrity by listing and defending any and all works completed on the site, whether for conservation, restoration, or adaptation (World Heritage Ireland, 2010). This history of works is important, because if a site has been reconstructed so many times that barely an of the original survives, the site may no longer have authenticity. The history of the site itself and the surrounding culture is also important, because it helps to demonstrate the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of the site, as well as how it might fit the criteria as a unique or exceptional example of cultural traditions, civilizations living or dead, or any of the other ten criteria. The nomination file also has to contain a management plan to insure the OUV, authenticity, and integrity of the site are maintained for future generations. The management plan can be one of the most difficult aspects of the nomination file, because it requires so much cooperation between all of the owners of the site, stakeholders in the ... There is always some type of outside force, or fate, influencing a person s actions and decisions. The philosophy of fate often relates to astrology, the belief that celestial bodies influence human action. The characters in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare believe that fate and the stars have absolute control over their lives and the actions they perform during the play. Fate determines who lives and who dies throughout Romeo and Juliet. While explaining events that are going to happen in the play, the Chorus declares, From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star crossedlovers take their life, Whose misadventured piteous overthrows Doth with their deathbury their... Here, here will I remain With worms that are thy chambermaids. O, here Will I set up my everlasting rest And shake the yoke of inauspicious stars From this world wearied flesh! Eyes, look your last (5.3.106 112). Romeo thinks that he can defy the stars by making a rash decision to kill himself. Sadly, Romeo does not know that Juliet is alive, and his careless decision to kill himself is for nothing. Similarly, Juliet makes an irrational decision to kill herself once she sees Romeo laying next to her, dead. Juliet says, Yea, noise? Then I ll be brief. O happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die (5.3.174 175). After seeing Romeo dead, grief overcomes Juliet, and she decides to kill herself with Romeo s dagger. • 14. Confucian Analects And Ban Zhao s Lessons For A Woman Though authored possibly centuries apart, the Confucian Analects and court historian Ban Zhao s Lessons for a Woman have far more similarities than they do differences. The truth is that when considered in the context of their societies, the two texts actually serve to complement each other, and do so quite successfully. Technically written as instructions on maintaining order and progress in government and society, the Analects are very widely directed (Bentley, Traditions and Encounters, 101). While some of the text claims to be private conversations between Confuciusand other men, the instructions and suggestions are universally applicable. Ban Zhao begins her text utilizing a bit of her own advice. She humbles herself immediately in a rather demeaning opening paragraph regarding her own educational background. The text covers the three primary functions of women in ancient Chinese society: as unmarried daughters, as wives and mothers, and their role in the preservation of spiritual matters. She stresses the development of four womanly qualifications that include virtue, words, bearing and work (Ban Zhao, Lessons for a Woman, 4). The basic virtues of women stem from (similarly to the Analects) humility, and respect. A true quietness of spirit and mind, a lack of foolishness, and an exhibit of modesty are required to demonstrate the true humility of a woman (Ban Zhao, Lessons for a Woman, 4). She is also to possess a diligence in labor that surpasses those around her; putting others always before herself. These traits are to be developed and displayed even before marriage, as without them, how can her name be honored; how can [a woman] but bring disgrace on herself? (Ban Zhao, Lessons for a Woman, 2). • 15. The Intertropical Convergence Zone Plays a Large Role in... The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is a permanent low pressure feature that lies on the meteorological equator. It is characterisied by lots of cloud cover and precipitation (Andrews et al., 2003). The ITCZ plays a significant role in the climate and weather events in the tropics. The clouds created by the ITCZ also provide an important form of albedo in the tropics (Waliser and Gautier, 1993),which has an effect on global climate. Tropical events such as monsoonand cyclones occur in the ITCZ and are products of the unique convection system found around the ITCZ (Yancheva et al., 2007, Ferreira and Schubert, 1997).The ITCZ is a product of humid trade winds from the northern and southern hemisphere converging and then rising. This rising of humid air usually results in precipitationover the tropics(Waliser and Somerville, 1994). This rising of the humid air acts as the driving force in the Hadley Cell (Waliser and Somerville, 1994). The ITCZ is a product of high levels of solar radiation and high amounts of latent heat released from the ocean (Andrews et al., 2003). It is important to realize that the ITCZ moves throughout the year depending on the seasons, it is likely to be found in the southern hemisphere in the southern hemisphere summer and in the northern hemisphere during the northern hemispheres summer. However the ITCZ is more likely to be found in the Northern hemisphere (Waliser and Somerville, 1994). The ITCZ plays a large role in many of the climatic ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As we are living in a cold period in the history of the earth s climate, small temperature changes are attributed to increased levels of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. The important question is: how will these changes, man made or otherwise, impact existing species? One easily observed example is Emperor penguins, residents of the shores and ice shelves of Antarctica. With increasing temperature of the ocean, the sea ice where they live melts, eliminating nesting areas, the sea levels rise, reducing shore habitat, and food supply becomes limited. The penguins main diet consists of krill, fish, and squid. Antarctic krill populations, their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The ones residing on the northern coast of Antarctica are prone to ice melting, due to the increasing temperatures in the spring which shorten the ice season. Those on the southern coast are of least concern due to the fact that the temperature there fluctuates less drastically. Regarding the penguins nesting places, immense ice sheets are essential for them to hatch and raise chicks; during the ice season, Emperor penguins march 60 100 miles to their rookery around May, where they lay, incubate, and hatch their eggs. Usually, the chicks begin fledging about December and the adults leave. However, if the ice season is shorter due to warmer temperatures, the ice breaks earlier. Before the baby penguins can fully fledge and retain waterproof and swimming capabilities, the only habitat they know is swallowed into the ocean. Then, the immature chicks, unable to swim, are swept into the sea where they drown. The quintessential nesting grounds of Emperor penguins allow for expansion of their species. After all, predation by leopard seals and killer whales naturally reduces the population, and they must repopulate to sustain. The specific, freezing march of Emperor penguins to their nesting grounds was displayed in the acclaimed French documentary March of the Penguins. The pharmacy plays a crucial role in the hospital because without it, physicians and nurses wouldn t be able to treat their patients effectively. The pharmacy is essential to the treatment of disease, since the pharmacy is the site where both intravenous and pill medications such as chemotherapy and antibiotics are made and dispensed according to what patient needs. At the hospital, the pharmacy takes care of both inpatients and outpatients for both prescriptions and over the counter medications. Those who work at the pharmacy also educated patients and healthcare workers about the side effects of medications, which medications can be mixed and, especially for stronger medications, the known risks of taking them. These educational measures are performed to prevent overdose, the inappropriate use of medications, such as antibiotics, and to give the patients as to what is normal and to be expected from taking a medication and what symptoms should raise a cause of concern. One way this duty is performed is by rounds. A round is where the pharmacist along with other doctors such as a dietitian, social worker, physical therapist, speech therapist, the attending nurse, and the primary physician, as well as any other specialist whose expertise may be in need, get together to discuss a group of patients and what is being done about their care and how it can be improved. Anthropologists study primates so much because primates have the most similar characteristics to humans, allowing us to learn more about our past. There are a few methods that Primatologists use to make their research relevant to anthropology: field study, laboratory study, and semi free ranging. Field studying is done in nature, where scientists study primates in their natural habitats. Laboratory study is when the environment is completely controlled, and scientists get to perform experiments on the learning behaviors and capabilities of animals.
