Artists often use their personal perceptions as a stimulus for their artwork. They are able to use
their work to express a certain viewpoint they may have on a subject. Well renowned artists, Odilon
Redon and David Hockney have both manipulated their artistic abilities to express their perceptions
through their work with their art movements. Redon is a renowned 18th 19th century French
symbolist artist whose works revolve around his dreams, fantasy and imagination, The Cyclops
(1914), being one of his most recognised paintings. David Hockney is a painter and photographer
and is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century, a prime example of
his work being, A Bigger Splash (1966.) Both artworks reflect the artist s personal perceptions and

What is TB?
TB is an infectious disease. This means that disease causing pathogens, such as bacteria, viruses,
fungi and protoctists, attack and contaminates the host s cells, then spreads to other cells within the
body.
Pathogens can be spread in many different ways which are: horizontal/vertical the disease is passed
through to the baby from the mother, either from the placenta or breast feeding; direct when you
come in direct contact with the pathogen; waterborne the disease comes from water you drink; food
you eat an infected item; vector another animal transfers it to you; airborne, the disease circulates
through the air.

How to avoid the spread of the disease
A vaccine containing a weakened version of the bacterium has been produced, called Bacille
Calmet Guerin (BCG) to prevent the spread of TB. This is often given to people aged 16 35 and
those more likely to catch the disease, i.e. people travelling to, and staying in, countries where the
infection is more likely to occur, healthcare practitioners, homeless shelter workers and immigrant
hostel workers.
Whilst working with an active TB patient, the spread of this disease can be easily avoided by
washing hands, before and after a task is completed, wearing the appropriate P.P.E. (personal
protective equipment), and making sure it is clean, never using needles more than once, and
correctly disposing of them. Surfaces should be wiped down with disinfectant, before and after
use, and all equipment must be sterile, to prevent cross contamination and there are procedures you
should always follow to keep both yourself and your patient safe. Always wipe down surfaces

Virtue ethics is a normative theory whose foundations were laid by Aristotle. This theory
approaches normative ethics in substantially different ways than consequentialist and deontological
theories. In this essay, I will contrast and compare virtue ethics to utilitarianism, ethical egoism,
and Kantianism to demonstrate these differences. There is one fundamental aspect of virtue ethics
that sets it apart from the other theories I will discuss. For the sake of brevity and to avoid
redundancy, I will address it separately. This is the fundamental difference between acting ethically
within utilitarianism, egoism, and Kantianism. And being ethical within virtue ethics. The other
theories seek to define the ethics of actions while virtue ethics does not judge actions in any way.
The other theories deal with how we should act, while virtue ethics determines how we should be.
The first theory I will compare virtue ethics against is ethical egoism. The two theories share a
commonality apart from being normative in nature. They both seek what is best for the doer.
Aristotle claimed that happiness is ultimately attained by striving for the function of man which is
the excellence found within virtue. This is comparable to ethical egoism because of it s principle

Many policies in interscholastic sports may be controversial none more so than the play to play or
activity fee for student athletes. In this paper, three policies at Enterprise High School and
Enterprise City Schools are discussed. From the activity fee students are paying, fundraising being
part of head coaches duties, and finally the existence of multiple booster clubs for the athletic
department. Enterprise High Schooldoes not have a formal handbook for athletic. When asked the

are typically around three hundred dollars, however the EHS athletic director does not mandate
