Abstract :
Netscribes’ latest market research report titled ERP Market in India 2015 describes the dynamics of ERP implementation in India. ERP is designed for centralized monitoring of business operations, accurate financial management and to improve work productivity. Indian firms place a high demand for SaaS-based ERP solutions, which currently account for about 10% of overall ERP requirement in the country. ERP comes in several modules including finance or accounting, HR and payroll, sales and marketing, inventory management, purchase, among others. Implementation of ERP involves certain key decision-making steps such as identification of business needs, process evaluation, compilation of data, training and testing, installation and evaluation.
Demand for ERP in India is driven by certain key advantages of enterprise IT solutions, including efficient stocking of merchandise, collection of consumer data andenhanced connectivity with the help of tools such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), among others. SMEs have shown considerable interest in ERP application as well, with majority of them believing that cloud adoption is important to drive business success. However, lack of IT training and less awareness regarding product features and benefits have limited the growth of ERP market in India. Market opportunities exist in different industry sectors such as banking and financial services, retail and healthcare as well as SMBs to drive optimal resource utilization, but ERP companies in India need to come up with more simplified user interfaces and ideas to capitalize on mobile commerce.

Netscribes’ latest market research report titled Ice Cream Market in India 2015 highlights the competitive market scenario of the Indian Ice cream market and its growth prospects in the ensuing years. Increasing urbanization and increasing out-of-home food consumption, coupled with the ever-increasing food varieties available in the markets closer to home, are some of the reasons fuelling the ice cream segment. Players in the industry are launching regular and premium brands to tap this potential and growing demand. Global brands are scaling up their presence in the Indian ice cream market. The organized sector dominates the Indian ice cream market share. Interestingly its market penetration has been limited only to the metro and major cities there by creating opportunities for the sector to penetrate into the rural areas.
The absence of consistent power supply has been a major hindrance to market penetration in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Delhi. However, India has a low per capita consumption of ice cream which is creating opportunities for players to capitalize upon. The key trends in the market include increasing number of exclusive ice cream outlets, introduction of new variants, growth of premium ice cream and entry of international brands.

Abstract :
Netscribes’ latest market research report titled Facilities Management Market – GCC encompasses companies engaged in a wide range of soft and hard services provision in both the private and public sector globally. There are multiple stakeholders that stand to benefit from the increasing use of facilities management, including residents, building owners, government, service providers and the society at large. The market continues to be driven towards consolidation with the larger players looking to identify opportunities to build higher margin service capacity, fill in geographical or service capability gaps through international expansion and exiting non-core/low margin offerings.
However, the industry also has to contend with several bottlenecks. Workforce efficiency continues to be an issue for many facilities management companies due to inflexibility, lack of good quality logistical information and skills to manage a more efficient workforce. Market Research Report : Digital broadcasting market in india 2015 - SampleNetscribes, Inc.
For the complete report, get in touch with us at: info@netscribes.com
Abstract :
The report highlights the analysis of the drivers and explains the factors for growth of the industry. Emerging middle class and rising disposable income, Increase in television and radio penetration, complete digitization of TV services and Increase in sale of LCD and LED TVs, are the key drivers of this market. Rise in disposable income of the working class coupled by the new digital wave will overlook the price factor of most forms of digital broadcasting media vis-à-vis analogue cable. Rapid evolution of new technologies such as High Definition (HD), STBs (Set Top Boxes) with inbuilt recorders and delivery platforms, create further opportunities for innovation and growth. Government of India has passed a bill aiming at complete digitization of the cable industry by Dec 31, 2014. Upgrade to LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs has shifted viewership trend to DTH/digital broadcast
There are various challenges too that the Digital Broadcasting Market faces, High costs involved in digital conversion, Shortage of set top boxes are the major challenges faced by the auto ancillary industry. Costs in digital conversion primarily centres on costs of providing duplicate transmission equipment and distribution infrastructure. Digitization process entails internal costs to broadcasters for upgrading their program creation and presentation; High costs involved in digital broadcasting mechanism poses as a challenge that the sector needs to overcome. As the nation gears up for a switch from analogue to digital transmission, set top boxes are required to continue watching cable television. Operators are facing a crunch in the supply of set-top boxes for the entire population base in India. Further India is going digital at the same time as other nations including Brazil, Russia, China and South Korea, which is making the situation bleak in terms of meeting demands of set top boxes.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has proposed a 50% reduction in the airtime of television advertisements which will eventually result in halving the amount of ad inventory and render a better viewership experience. The government has liberalized the broadcast sector ahead of India's shift to digital carriage of television channels, raising foreign direct investment (FDI) ceiling to 74 % in direct-to home (DTH) and multi-system operators (MSOs0029.

Abstract:
Netscribes’ latest market research report titled Rail Transport Market in India 2014 states that with the government opening up the rail freight transport sector to private companies in 2006, the market has developed considerably and offers tremendous potential for players. Freight traffic has increased considerably in the past few years and is projected to grow even further. Although the sector had faced challenges from road freight in the recent past, with several infrastructural development projects being on the verge of completion, the sector is expected to get a major boost. With developments in the sector, efficiency will increase and more companies will be willing to transport products through rail freight. Dedicated freight corridors will vastly aid in this. Further, the country’s growing international trade has increased the need for transportation services, especially from the ports. This will further assist growth in the market.
To encourage rail freight and to develop the sector, several marketing schemes have been formulated by Indian Railways. Also, the aim is to modernize the entire railway network. This will provide operational benefits to players active in the sector. At present, there are 16 companies that have the license to operate in the sector with the Government of India undertaking, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) dominating the market. The private players are yet to establish themselves with most of them having a very small fleet size compared to CONCOR. Abstract:
Netscribes latest market research report titled Interactive Whiteboard Market in India 2014 describes the dynamics of interactive whiteboard usage in India. The domestic market has moved beyond the nascent stage, and is witnessing a steady growth in demand. In comparison to a traditional whiteboard, interactive whiteboard prices are higher and they require a significant expenditure to purchase and install, but it also gives the end user a highly interactive environment, which can be optimally utilized with proper training. For multinational companies involved in production of electronics including interactive whiteboard, India and China are the two major emerging economies expected to drive significant growth.
The interactive whiteboard market in India is driven by a growing demand from the education sector, where there is increased focus on ICT adoption and a conscious effort to make the learning process more interactive for students, in tune with a global trend. There is also increased demand for customized content or e-learning from the corporate sector, which helps them in reducing costs and efficient utilization of resources. However, some interactive whiteboard reviews highlight the continuous need for training and infrastructural constraints as challenges currently present in the market. But several government initiatives encouraging the use of technology in schools and colleges have significantly benefitted the industry, and should continue to drive growth in the future.

Abstract:
Netscribes’ latest market research report titled Power Backup Market in India 2014 states the demand-supply gap in power distribution as the main reason for the boom in the power backup market. The power backup sector can be categorized into four broad segments, UPS, Diesel Generators, Inverters and Batteries. UPS segment has witnessed a consistent rise in demand owing to the rapid development of the IT sector along with growing consciousness among individuals to protect costly electronic equipments which can be adversely affected by sudden power failures. Demand for generator sets come from various sectors such as IT and ITes, telecom and construction while inverters are primarily used in households, shops and commercial establishments.
Manufacturing hub of the Indian power backup industry is concentrated in North India, particularly Himachal Pradesh, and Kolkata. Power deficit in the southern region of the country has triggered the demand for power backup in these regions. Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala generate the highest share of the overall demand for power backup in the country. Shortage in coal and gas, the primary raw materials for power generation, further aggravates the shortage in power supply. With time, consumers have emerged to be less tolerant about the duration of power cuts, thus providing tremendous growth prospects, which players can capitalize upon.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.
