2. Eris Dev Board v1.1
The Africa's Talking Eris Development Board v1.1. contains an Arduino compatible microcontroller
board combined with a group of plug and play sensors that are beginner-friendly. The Board has an
inbuilt sim card module for easy connectivity. Its features also appeal to intermediate hobbyists and
advanced IoT developers. The kit is suitable for learning, prototyping and even in deploying field-
ready IoT solutions.
The microcontroller boards are made with an STM32F103 Chip which is a 72MHz ARM Cortex M3
with 64Kb of flash memory with an inbuilt FTDI chip making it easy to program. There is also an SWD
interface for easy debugging.

The Africa's Talking Eris Development Board v2 is an Arduino compatible microcontroller board
aimed at advanced IoT hardware developers. The plethora of hardware features that Eris
Development Board v2 ships with should appeal to IoT enthusiasts in Industrial automation, remote
sensing and robotics fields.
The board ships with an STM32F413 Chip which is a 1.5MB RAM ARM Cortex M4 with 320 Kb of
flash memory. The board also ships with rich power management modes with support for serial
interrupt during sleep mode.
