as the first time we collaborated with a Turkish school.

TRADITIONS AND
CULTURE
• Baked Rice is a typical dish of the
Valencian Community. It is made in
earthenware casserole and cooked as its
name indicates in the oven.
• Paella is a recipe based on rice, originating
in the Valencian Community and today ver
y popular throughout Spain.
Las Fallas
Las Fallas are celebrations that go from March
15 to 19 Officially they begin the last Sunday of
February with the act of La Cridà.
During the year, craftsmen build some
monuments which are finally burnt on the day
of La Cremà.
The monuments represent social criticism
through the events that happened in Spain
througout the whole year.
Every day at 14 o’ clock, at the town hall
square, we can listen to a big Mascletà, with
thousands of fireworks that produce a lot of
noise.
La Nit del Foc
La Gran Nit del Foc is one of
the most important events.
It is celebrated at dawn on
Sunday March 19 at 1:30 am
on the Paseo de la Alameda
and consists of a fireworks
display that is longer than
usual
La Crema
La Cremà is the last act of Las
Fallas. On the 19th of March, all
tbe monuments are burnt around
midnight. It’s very exciting for all
the Falleros to see how the work
of a whole year burns into ashes.
eTwinning .
eTwinning promotes school collaboration in
Europe using information and communication
technologies (TIC) and supports schools by
providing them with the necessary tools and
services
It is a project in which we collaborate with the "La
Saleta" residence for the elderly, and the Refugee
Support Centre of Mislata. Together, we carry out
different solidary activities with the aim of fostering
our students’ awareness and voluntary spirit.
