The U.S. economy is continuing its impressive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and not slowing down despite re-occurring bumps. The U.S. savings rate reached its highest ever recorded level at 34% in April 2020 and Americans seem ready to spend. The sectors that had been hurt the most by the pandemic specifically reduced consumer spending, like retail, leisure, hospitality, and travel, are now experiencing massive growth in revenue and job openings.
Could this growth lead to a “Roaring Twenties”? As quickly as the U.S. economy contracted, experiencing a 9.1% drop in economic output relative to the business cycle in Q2 2020, the largest in recorded history, it has rebounded beyond expectations. This surprising growth seems to be fueled by the U.S. government’s aggressive fiscal and monetary policies, and an increase in consumer spending as mobility restrictions are lifted. Unemployment rates between June 2020 and June 2021 decreased by 5.2%, while the demand for labor is increasing, coupled with increasing wages to incentivize Americans to rejoin the labor force. Schools and businesses are expected to fully reopen soon. In parallel, vaccination rates across the country and the world continue to rise, with full vaccination rates of 50% and 14.8% respectively.
However, it is not completely smooth sailing from here. According to M Capital Group, the main risks that threaten the continued growth of the U.S. economy are inflation, unsettled trade relations, and another wave of Covid-19 mutations that could shut down the world again. Have we learned from the past year of COVID-19 and adapted our economy accordingly?
“In order for the U.S. economy to continue growing, whether there is another wave or not, the U.S. needs to focus on diversifying supply chains, supporting business investment, and maintaining consumer spending,” says Grace Feeley, a research analyst at M Capital Group.

Preferred Stock: Preferred stocks are sometime referred to as hybrid securities, because it contains elements of both debit security and equity security. Preferred stock confers ownership rights to security holder that is why it is equity instrument

Today, We may witness Mild positive opening in Nifty around 8935 level
on back of SGX Nifty and other Asian counters which is trading on
positive note today.
Nifty recovered from its initial losses but still closed the last trading
session of the week on a flat note with marginal losses. The market
sentiments remained cautious ahead of a speech by U.S. Federal
Reserve Chair Janet Yellen and declaration of the Assembly Election
results next week. Some concern also came with Chief Economic
Advisor Arvind Subramanian’s statement that Economic and
political systems in India have 'not developed maturity' for nuanced
interventions and tend to take recourse to bans and restrictions.
However, downside remained capped with a report that services
industry returned to growth in February for the first time in four
months, as demand slowly recovers after the government's cash
crackdown late last year. The seasonally adjusted Nikkei Services
Business Activity Index rose back above the 50.0 no-change mark in
February, posting 50.3 from 48.7 in January. The seasonally
adjusted Nikkei India Composite PMI Output Index too climbed to
50.7 from 49.4 in January to signal the first increase in private
sector activity across India since last October.
Traders were seen piling up positions in Realty, Metal and Media
stocks, while selling was witnessed only in PSU, Financial Services
and FMCG stocks.

Nifty Outlook
Bank Nifty Outlook
Nifty previous close came with loss of -0.47%. It has halted its 5 week winning stick and formed mild
bear candle.
However candlestick pattern still signifies continuation characteristic as it has not violated its
previous candle low.
On daily chart Nifty came into consolidation phase and its 4th instance from its base level. However
intraday volatility has been observed.
Going forward, positive stance can be maintained and upside momentum can be seen upto 8950 and
on downside support can be seen upto 8850 level.
Nifty bank has remained in dark spot as it has lost more ground in compare to other sectors. Previous
week has closed with loss of 1.83%.
Nifty bank has formed bear candle and it has breached its previous low but managed to close above
that.
From past 2 weeks nifty bank is oscillating in the range of 20400 to 21000 which shows range bound
nature of index.
Going forward either side breach will dictate further trend but as of now positive stance can be
maintained with sustainability above 20400 level.
