Today, We may witness Mild positive opening in Nifty around 8827 level
on back of SGX Nifty and other Asian counters which is trading on
positive note today.
Nifty ended a choppy session with marginal gains on Monday as
positive global cues buoyed investors' sentiments. Some support
also came with report that after four months of intense selling,
overseas investors turned net buyers in February and have so far
pumped in over Rs 5,800 crore in the capital market. The latest
inflow followed a net pullout of Rs 80,310 crore from equity and
debt together in the past four months (October-January). However,
a weak rupee, disappointing IIP (Index of Industrial Production) data
and weak earnings updates from the companies like Coal India,
Bank of Baroda and Idea Cellular weighted on market sentiments.
Besides, caution prevailed ahead of the release of key macro-
economic inflation data points -- the Consumer Price Index (CPI)
and Wholesale Price Index (WPI) -- to be released on February 13
and 14, respectively. Sentiments also remained subdued with
private report that India’s economic growth is likely to remain
subdued in the first quarter of 2017 as the activity level remains
below its recent peak. As per the report, from 7.3 per cent GDP
growth in July-September 2016, the October-December 2016
quarter GDP growth is likely to slow to 6 per cent and further to 5.7
per cent in the first quarter of 2017 (January-March).
Traders were seen piling up positions in IT, Media and Metal stocks,
while selling was witnessed in PSU, Realty and Pharma stocks.

 Nifty again compressed in the consolidation phase, it was not exceptional day and did not indicate
any predictive value.
 Nifty’s intra week movement has compressed in band of 8820 on higher side and 8720 on lower side.
As of now sideway view can be maintained as far as Nifty oscillates within 8820 to 8720.
 Fresh buying interest can be garnered once Nifty sustain above 8820 level, from there further upside
can be seen upto 8950 to 8900 level.
 On flip side breach of 8720 level can attract further selling pressure and it can lead to further
downside upto 8550 to 8500 level.
 With mild nervousness we have seen another session of lacklustre move and it kept on forming candle
without any predictive value.
 From candlestick perspective it has formed Hanging Man however it require confirmation in following
week.
 In entire week Nifty bank movement had compressed in the range of 20000 to 20400 level.
 Going forward either side breakout will dictate further trend. Sustainability above 20400 can lead to
further improvement upto 20900 level and on flipside moving below 20000 can lead to 19500 level.
