Equity Bazaar SEBI Registered–Research Analyst Equities I Commodities I Currencies I Mutual Funds Nifty Intraday Today, We may witness mild positive opening in Nifty around 8040 level on back of SGX Nifty and other Asian counters which is trading on mixed note today. There are positive expectations from the upcoming Union Budget, along with appreciation in the rupee and higher crude oil prices , Nifty on Tuesday and ended the session with a gain of over half a percent. The Nifty opened higher and traded in positive terrain for the entire session as sentiments got support with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s statement that “higher tax mop up shows uptick in economic activity including manufacturing during the April- December period”. He said that during April-December 2016, direct tax collection was up by 12.01 per cent at Rs 5.53 lakh crore, as compared to revenue in the year-ago period, while indirect tax receipts soared 25 per cent to Rs 6.30 lakh crore. Some support also came with Moody’s report which maintained positive outlook on India and said beyond the short-term negative impact on growth, demonetization has the potential to raise government revenues and provide some fiscal space to support growth if required. Furthermore, describing demonetization as only a ‘bump’, Cisco Executive Chairman John Chambers said India is well-positioned to maintain GDP growth rate of over 7 per cent for the next few years and it should be a 'top ally' for the US in the Asia Pacific region. Equity Bazaar SEBI Registered–Research Analyst Equities I Commodities I Currencies I Mutual Funds Nifty Outlook Bank Nifty Outlook 11th Jan-17 After breakout index pause for 2 days and then resumed its previous uptrend. Index opened on positive note and thereafter moved higher till end of the day. From candle stick perspective Nifty has formed strong bull candle which represents bull has dominated entire trading session. Momentum oscillator RSI has formed peak at 60 level which is considered as upper band of bearish zone. Going forward, further positive move can be expected upto 8400 level with SL of 8220. Nifty Bank continued to show its outperformance vis a vis to broader index. It shows its relative strength is on higher side. From candle stick perspective index has formed strong bull candle which shows dominance of bull for entire trading session. Index is comfortably sustaining above its short and long term moving average and along with that momentum oscillator RSI is sustaining above its previous high.
