This elearning module covers equality and diversity awareness in the workplace as defined by the Equality Act of 2010 in the UK. The Act prohibits discrimination based on nine protected characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership, pregnancy/maternity, race, religion/belief, sex, and sexual orientation. It also bans direct and indirect discrimination, harassment, victimization, and failure to provide reasonable adjustments for disabled people in employment, education, when providing goods/services, and in managing premises.
