EPALE is an ePlatform for Adult Learning in Europe supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. In 2016, EPALE had 440,000 visits and 294,000 visitors, with 18,000 registered users from across Europe. The platform aims to foster cooperation and exchange of information among adult education providers, practitioners, and policymakers to develop adult education through European cooperation and increase its visibility. It offers thematic forums, partner search, communities of practice, and other collaborative tools.

Let’s turn inclusion into action

Introduction to virtual intercultural exchanges
Virtual exchanges can develop intercultural communicative competence (ICC) by providing authentic intercultural interaction using a foreign language in a controlled online environment. ICC involves intercultural competence, cultural competence, and communicative competence, including understanding cultural concepts/artifacts of one's own and other cultures. Byram's model of ICC includes attitudes of openness, knowledge of social groups and cultures, skills in interpreting/relating other cultures and discovering/interacting in intercultural situations, and critical cultural awareness. Learning contents can explore "languaculture," the connection between language and culture, and "rich points" when cultural assumptions differ.

This will benefit eportfolio experts through collaboration and research partnerships, practitioners by providing tools and lessons learned, and policymakers with evidence and frameworks to inform policies. The consortium is led by the University of Zagreb and includes partners from France, the UK, Poland, Austria, Denmark, Spain, and the US.

Implementation of SDG 4.7. Norway as an example
Norway has implemented SDG target 4.7 of acquiring skills for sustainable development and global citizenship by mainstreaming these concepts across its entire education system. Three topics - sustainable development, democracy/citizenship, and health - have been integrated as core subjects and cross-curricular themes from kindergarten through secondary school. While progress has been made in formal education, more work is still needed in higher education and teacher training. The strategy involved advocacy from civil society, dialogue across sectors, and respectful discussion of how to reform curricula, policies and learning resources to address the most important issues facing current and future generations from a holistic, interconnected perspective.

On 12 June 2024 the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER) held an online event “Economic Trends from a Business Perspective (May 2024)”.
During the event, the results of the 25-th monthly survey of business executives “Ukrainian Business during the war”, which was conducted in May 2024, were presented.
The field stage of the 25-th wave lasted from May 20 to May 31, 2024. In May, 532 companies were surveyed.
The enterprise managers compared the work results in May 2024 with April, assessed the indicators at the time of the survey (May 2024), and gave forecasts for the next two, three, or six months, depending on the question. In certain issues (where indicated), the work results were compared with the pre-war period (before February 24, 2022).
