DEFINITION OF ENVORNMENTAL
POLLUTION
Enviornmental pollution is unfavourable
alternation our surrounding ,chemical and
physical constitution and abundance of
organism and largly by man action through
directly or indirectly effect changes in energy
pattern.
CAUSES OF ENVIORNMENT POLLUTION
 Gauses pollutant
 Sewage
 Agricultural runoff
 Human waste
 Toxic matter
TYPE OF ENVIORNMENTAL POLLUTION
Water pollution
Land pollution
Air pollution
Noise pollution
Water pollution
 Water pollution occurs when harmful
substances—often chemicals or
microorganisms—contaminate a stream,
river, lake, ocean, aquifer, or other body of
water, degrading water quality .

Causes of water pollution.
 Improper Sewage
Disposal.
 Fertilizer Run-Off.
 Oil Spills.
 Chemical Waste
Dumping.
Effect of water pollution.
 Contaminated water can harbor bacteria,
such as those responsible for diarrhea,
cholera, dysentery, typhoid, hepatitis A,
and polio. According to the UN, every year,
approximately 297,000 children under five
die from diseases linked to poor sanitation,
poor hygiene, or unsafe drinking water.
Air pollution.
 The presence of
waste material into the
air of a substance
which has harmful or
poisonous effects.
Causes of air pollution.
 Air pollution is caused by solid and liquid
particles and certain gases that are
suspended in the air.
Effect of air pollution.
 Heart disease.
 Lungs cancer
 Demage human nerves system.
 Respiratiry disease.
Land pollution.
 land pollution, the
deposition of solid
or liquid waste
materials
on land or
underground
in a manner that can
contaminate the soil
and groundwater.
Causes of land pollution.
 Deforestation
 Forestfire
 Demage soil
