This document discusses sewage collection and conveyance systems. It describes the two main methods of transporting wastewater - conservancy and water carriage systems. It also discusses factors that influence sewage flow rates like population, area type, and water supply. The document outlines different sewer classifications based on sewage type and layout. It lists materials commonly used for sewer construction and details various sewer appurtenances like manholes, catch basins, and flushing tanks.
Deals with the primary treatment of sewage specially for the removal of suspended solids and also for the stabilization of the separated solids. treatment, design and performance details of primary clarifiers, anaerobic ponds, UASB reactors, UASB ponds, and baffled anaerobic reactors are covered in this presentation..

Deals with rapid gravity filtration, slow sand filtration and Roughing filters.
Aspects covered include
Filter media and their characterization is described.
Filter running and filter backwashing,
Filter hydraulics.
Suspended solids, turbidity and bacterial removal from water.
A sanitary sewer or "foul sewer" is an underground carriage system specifically for transporting sewage from houses and commercial buildings through pipes to treatment or disposal. Sanitary sewers are part of an overall system called sewerage or sewage system.
Deals with the preliminary treatment of sewage and includes screening, grit removal and equalization. Treatment details, design and performance details are included in this presentation.

Water is essential for all life of forms on earth-including human, animal and vegetation.
It is therefore important that adequate supplies of water be developed to sustain such life
Where there is no surface water, where groundwater is deep or inaccessible due to hard ground conditions, or where it is too salty, acidic or otherwise unpleasant or unfit to drink, another source must be sought.
In areas that have regular rainfall, the most appropriate alternative is the collection of rainwater, called rainwater harvesting .
Sewer appurtenances are the various accessories on the sewage system and are explained. also types of manhole and their classifications are explained along with sewer vent , storm water regulator, inverted siphon etc.
This presentation deals with the following appurtenances: Manholes; Flushing tanks, flushing manholes and clean outs; Interceptor tanks; (Inverted) siphons; Pumping stations; Gutters, storm water inlets and catch basins, and Other appurtenances.
How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.

In Odoo, the multi-company feature allows you to manage multiple companies within a single Odoo database instance. Each company can have its own configurations while still sharing common resources such as products, customers, and suppliers.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
Instructions for Submissions thorugh G- Classroom.pptxJheel Barad
This presentation provides a briefing on how to upload submissions and documents in Google Classroom. It was prepared as part of an orientation for new Sainik School in-service teacher trainees. As a training officer, my goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and proficient with this essential tool for managing assignments and fostering student engagement.
4. QUANTITY OF SEWAGE
• Depends upon the consumption of water
• Consumption of water depends upon
Type of city
Climatic condition
Culture of the people
5. DRY WEATHER FLOW
• It is the total average discharge of sanitary
sewage in a sewer during the dry weather
• Factors that govern the dry weather flow
• Population
• Type of area served
• Rate of water supply
• Ground water infiltration
6. • Population - habits
• Type of area served – residential, industrial,
commercial
Residential-thinly, moderately, thickly populated
Industrial - large factories, small factories
Commercial – shops, offices, hotels, public
building
• Rate of water supply- the quantity of sewage is
less than the quantity of water supplied
• Ground water infiltration – it is the leakage of
water into the sewer from the ground
7. VARIATION IN RATE OF FLOW OF
SEWAGE
• The seasonal maximum rate of flow may be
130
• The monthly maximum rate of flow may be
140
• The daily maximum rate of flow may be 180
• The variations are due to habits of the
people, climatic conditions, type of industries
etc…
8. CLASSIFICATION OF SEWER
• Classification according to type of sewage
Sanitary sewer
Strom sewer
Combined sewer
• Classification according to layout
House sewer
Lateral sewer
16. • Laying of sewer line
• Joints in sewer line
• Testing of sewer
Water test
Obstruction test
Straightness test
17. VENTILATION OF SEWER
• To avoid unpleasant odours
• To avoid poisonous gases and vapours
• To avoid air lock in sewer
• To relieve air pressure above or below
atmospheric, caused by sudden rise or fall of
sewage
18. METHODS OF VENTILATION
• Proper construction of sewer
• Proper design of sewer
• Providing manholes with gratings
• Providing ventilating columns or shafts
• Providing manholes with chemicals
• Providing unobstructed outlets
• Providing forced draught
