HOW TO I CALCULATE PROFIT?
At the end of the lesson, students should be
able to:
1. Define customers’ needs and needs;
2. Discuss how to meet customer’s needs;
and
3. Appreciate the importance of customer’s
needs.
Activity 1. Identify!
Instruction: As a student, identify your
wants and needs. Write five needs and
five wants.
Activity 2. Identify the following if wants or needs.
1. Food
2. Cellphone
3. Shelter
4. Water
5. Expensive dress
CUSTOMER NEEDS
· State of deprivation
· Physical-food,
clothing, shelter, safety, water
· Social-belonging and
affection
· Individual-knowledge & self-expression
HOW TO MEET CUSTOMER NEEDS
1. IDENTIFY. Identify what your customers need from
you through keyword research, focus groups, or social
listening.
2. DISTRIBUTE. Distribute the information to relevant
stakeholders in your organization.
3. CREATE
Craft product features or
create content that speaks to your customer’s needs.
4. COLLECT. Collect customer feedback on how your efforts
meet their expectations
Needs
▪ define as ‘goods or services that are necessarily required for survival.
▪ refers to an individual
basic requirement that must fulfilled in order to survive
▪ it can be objective / physical or subjective
Objective needs:
1.Food
2.Shelter
3.Medicine
4.Water
Physical/Subjective needs:
1.Protection
2.Idleness
3.Creation
4.Understanding
5.Participation
6.Identity
7.Freedom
8.Subsistence
9.Affection
10.Transcendence

Why it is important to appreciate the
customer needs?

or wants that you think is very
essential to you to survive aside from
food, shelter, water.
What is the difference of needs
and wants?
