The number of platforms for video consumption is growing as well, with mobile video becoming huge. Mary Meeker’s Internet Trends 2015 found that video accounts for 55% of all mobile traffic. That’s up almost 10% in just three years.
CMI’s own research found that nearly 80% of B2B companies are using some form of video in their content marketing. This percentage has been steadily increasing over the last three years (70% in 2013, 73% in 2014, and 76% in 2015).
So, how do today’s marketers rise above the noise? As we started to explore this question, three overarching challenges emerged:
How do businesses empower themselves to create videos (cost effectively) in the first place?
Once businesses are creating videos, how do they scale this ability across the business?
Once businesses have a functional process for creating videos, how do they use this new skill to differentiate the content they’re producing?
In short, how do marketers start smart, scale up, and stand out by using video as an intelligent piece of a content marketing approach?
Digital marketing can be overwhelming. What is SEO? How can I use social media? Do I need a mobile website? Find out answers to theses digital marketing questions -- and more!

Secrets to Success in Digital MarketingKristi DePaul
If going digital sounds daunting to you, it should. In today’s ever-revolving landscape of digital marketing, it’s critical that managers use a sound strategy to guide decisions. A one-size-fits-all approach won’t work in social and electronic media, where success is centered on selecting the most appropriate channels that resonate with customers and accurately represent your brand.
How can marketers navigate through this maze – and cut through the buzz and the noise – to find what really works for their organizations?
We’ll explore the benefits of digital marketing and will dive deep into how you can identify relevant goals, define and re-examine existing digital marketing efforts, learn from best practices in industry, and evaluate meaningful results to ensure the most effective outcomes for your organization.
This presentation was given to a class at Art Institute of Phoenix. It covers very high-level digital marketing concepts. Students also took a quiz during the class, which is covered in slides 6-16.

Talk on Effective Digital Marketing to generate Business delivered by Vikas Chawla at the CII Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Conference on 9th Oct 2015 in Chennai, India
Cool Confidence Created: A Diva's Guide to Promoting a Positive Online ImageKelly Galanis
Social media has immersed itself into our lives, having become one of the fastest, most widely used methods of communication and interaction in history. We use it to connect with friends old and new, share updates, think out loud, play games, and interact. What about the professional side of social media? How do we as business owners maintain a balance with our online profiles that we share with friends and colleagues?
Social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook pages, and Twitter are quickly becoming the most popular way to promote yourself and your business professionally online. This discussion will take us on a tour of these sites - how they works, who uses it, best practices, and how you as a professional businesswoman can use it to benefit your personal and professional goals. We will examine the good, the bad, and yes...the ugly, as we explore these multi-faceted professional networking sites that have taken over the Interweb. We will also discuss how to best develop a confident social online image for you and your company by using some key tips and tricks to put you most confident, positive foot forward for all to see.
As author Emily Giffin once said, “Everyone wants to belong, or be a part of something bigger than themselves, but it's important to follow your heart and be true to yourself in the process.” This quote perfectly sums up what employee advocacy is all about: empowering employees to promote their company's message on social media and, in the process, allowing them to develop their personal brand, and position themselves as trusted advisors and thought leaders in their own networks.
Dell, InfusionSoft, SAP, and United Way, among others, are putting employee advocacy to work with the help of EveryoneSocial, the leading platform for employee advocacy and first to solely focus on the employee and employee advocacy. Founded in 2013, EveryoneSocial makes it easy for your employee and brand advocates to share original and curated content on social media, helping you to align, simplify, and measure your company’s social publishing efforts.
You’ll want to join us on our exclusive, live webinar with EveryoneSocial to discuss:
· Identifying your employee advocacy objectives
· Educating and motivating your employee and brand advocates
· Giving advocates guidelines and tools for social advocacy success
· Defining the employee advocacy metrics to track

Article sur l’importance des liens faibles :
http://uneheuredepeine.blogspot.fr/2007/11/facebook-ou-la-force-des-liens-faibles.html

http://mashable.com/2013/10/08/what-is-hashtag/
The hashtag’s widespread use began with Twitter but has extended to other social media platforms.
In 2007, developer Chris Messina proposed, in a tweet, that Twitter begin grouping topics using the hash symbol. Twitter initially rejected the idea. But in October 2007, citizen journalists began using the hashtag #SanDiegoFire, at Messina’s suggestion, to tweet updates on a series of forest fires in San Diego. The practice of hashtagging took off; now users and brands employ hashtags to cover serious political events (#Cairo) and entertainment topics (#MileyCyrus) alike

Fifty-five percent of small businesses don’t have a website.
shifted from a nice-to-have to a crucial task to the fundamental way businesses
of all size interact with customers and potential customers.
“There has been a fundamental change inmarketing from outbound to inbound,” says Perry Alexander, Internet marketing consultant at Success Messenger Group. “Five or 10 years ago, everything was outbound—it was interruptive. It was TV and newspaper ads and telephone calls during supper, screaming to wrestle your attention away from what you were doing. In inbound marketing, you position yourself to be found in places where people are already looking for someone like you, where they are searching for information or having a conversation about your business.”
And that’s a conversation you want to be in on. In the book, ZMOT: Winning the Zero Moment of Truth, authors Jim Lecinski and Google coined the term “the zero moment of truth,” representing the point at which consumers make choices that affect the future of brands. Increasingly these decision moments are being made on mobile phones, laptops, and wired devices of all kinds. In rapid succession, creating a web presence has shifted from a nice-to-have to a crucial task to the fundamental way businesses of all size interact with customers and potential customers.
the averageduration of a web page view is one minute, six seconds(Nielsen Top US Web Trends, July 2011). Some visitors will determine the content doesn’t meet their needs, but a large number flee because the site is simply too difficult to navigate. Clarity is a key aspect for developing a web presence for fidgety visitors who are just a click away from leaving.
Many websites provide useful information with an elegant design, but they forget to tell visitors what steps
to take next—or as marketers would put it, calls to action. Whether you want visitors to sign up for an exclusive couponor call on the phone for a price quote, you should clearly delineate what action you want them to take.
A website isn’t a work of art that you complete and hang on the wall. A website—like your web presence—is constantly evolving.
One of the biggest mistakes small businesses make is to think that they don’t need a web presence because they serve a local clientele. Research shows that 97 percent of consumers search online for nearby businesses—meaning almost everyone is turning to the web when they need to buy something in their own neighborhood.

Interview with Business Week, 2004
Interview with Business Week, 2004
Innovation comes from people meeting up in the hallways or calling each other at 10:30 at night with a new idea, or because they realised something that shoots holes in how we've been thinking about a problem. It's ad-hoc meetings of six people called by someone who thinks he has figured out the coolest new thing ever and who wants to know what other people think of his idea.
Article 1 : http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2008/aug/03/internet.email
Article 2 : http://blog.aliston.fr/2010/06/les-6-degres-de-separation-ou-la-theorie-du-petit-monde/
Explications :
