ENEC HPS presented a new river turbine design called the ENEC HPS turbine. The turbine uses blades attached to crankshafts that act as pistons in cylinders to transmit kinetic energy from flowing water to a generator via a crankshaft. Changing the blade positions allows for higher utilization of water's kinetic energy. A 5MW system uses 6 blades wrapped around each other in a 360 degree pattern. Support girders are needed due to flexing and twisting forces from the long crankshaft. The central girder can be attached to the generator to shift the center of gravity. Nikola Tesla invented this bladeless turbine (patented 1913) originally, which uses boundary layer
effect to run and not impingement of fluid upon the blades as in conventional. There are number of discs
sequentially mounted on a shaft and the fluid is made to flow in a tangential direction with considerable
pressure onto the discs with the help of an efficient nozzle, then follows a spiral path towards the centre
and exits axially. The discs rotate due to the basic properties of the fluid – viscosity and adhesion, as
momentum is transferred via this forces and kinetic energy of fluid is converted into the rotational energy
of the shaft. Many researchers have studied this concept and given various improvements with proofs
basically into two ways – one suggesting modifying the design of various components involved while
others to change the parameters involved.

Method of solution entails designing and construction of a small prototype tesla pump and then using the design geometry and parameters to design and perform numerical simulation. The results of the numerical simulation were then analyzed.
The result obtained indicates static pressure to have minimum value of -4.7791Pa at the outlet and 13.777Pa at the pump inlet and with velocity magnitude having minimum velocity of 0.00m/s and maximum velocity of 4.12m/s. The strength of the velocity was seen to be very high at the pump outlet. The analysis radial velocity showed minimum value of -0.508m/s and maximum value of 3.981m/s with the radial velocity vector being concentrated at the discs periphery and outlet.
Model simulation results exhibited smooth pressure and velocity profiles. With the 3D simulation all flow variables are able to be predicted.

In the steam turbine, heat energy is converted into mechanical energy which is used for generating electric power. Generator is an electro-magnetic device which makes the power available in the form of electrical energy. The temperature, pressure and output voltage are monitored by using lab view software programming, and the controlling can be done by DAQ cord. The parameters interface with the Data acquisition card MCC DAQ for monitoring purpose by means of graphical programming. The resulting models allow the implementation of various system of plant configuration.

- 3. The rods (blades) which more associate on paddles then on ordinary turbine rods are on one side attached bearing the crank ends and the second end of the handle which acts as a piston in the cylinder and they are together attached to a stationary shaft over which the kinetic energy of the water flow is transmitted to the crankshaft, and from this point to the turbine generator.
- 4. Changing positions of the blades of the impeller we achieve a higher level of usage of the kinetic energy from the water flow. On this picture we see build in six paddles from one side and six on the other and the generator that is attached to the paddles in the middle.
- 5. 5MW system consist of 6 blades, which are mutually wrap around each other for ( 6 x 60° = 360°). Blades dimensions (according to analysis): width: 3,4m height: 2,2m Based on blades dimensions, it is designed whole system construction with it’s optimal dimensions: width: 22m height: 26m
- 6. On the animated pictures above is displayed position of the supports (girders) which are calculated in Constructional Project. Due to use of long crancshaft, and appearance of the flexion as twisting forces, it is necessary to apply supports (girders). Middle support is possible to connect on generator and thereby, center of gravity is shifted on the middle of the system.
- 7. On this picture we see a basic workshop model So far are constructed various types of turbines of various technical solutions and performances for high-downs from water reservoirs and flows to the natural flow of water, with little exploitable effects in relation to the financial investments.
- 8. The primary object of the invention is to make the turbine, which will transfer as much kinetic energy to the generator without creating large reservoirs of water, and in this way to produce as much as possible of electric energy.
