This document describes the eMysteries project, which aims to engage upper secondary students in close reading activities through detective stories accessed on mobile devices. Funded by the Erasmus+ program, the project involves partners from Germany, Portugal, Cyprus, Ireland, and Spain developing an interactive online environment for writing detective stories, a MOOC for teacher training, and hosting multiplier events and a final conference to disseminate the resources developed. The goal is to improve literacy skills while harnessing the educational potential of mobile technology.

Project Aim
The basic aim of the project is to harness the use of mobile devices so that
they can be utilized for educational purposes among upper secondary
education students (15-18 year-olds) and enhance the literacy skills of
students through the use of mobile devices by actively engaging them in
close reading activities.

The MOOC will inform possible stakeholders about the
project’s innovative approach and its educational
