Purpose of the mock drill is to control the major hazards in the construction site with adequate preparedness and meet required expectations of approved Spill Contingency
Plan.
An emergency spill response drill is necessary to educate and prepare employees on how to respond properly in case of an emergency spill.

On 15th March 2021 at 15:00 HRS, in the SICIM equipment yard, a forklift is transferring LUBE OIL drums from storage area to workshop, suddenly the forklift
gets imbalance due to uneven surface and LUBE OIL drum fell down on the ground and resulted in the leakage of oil on ground surface. The operator of a forklift
immediately calls his supervisor and inform about the oil spill. Supervisor immediately calls Safety supervisor of that area, Safety supervisor calls to the
emergency spill response control team. The emergency spill response control team rushed to the area with the spill control kits, they barricaded the area, assessed
the risk and identified the material spilled. The spill response team confined the spill and stopped the source to clean up the spilled oil. The generated hazardous
waste will be disposed of in a hazardous waste skip, after the cleanup the team announces that the area is cleared.
