The document discusses different types and sources of water pollution. It explains that point source pollution comes from specific locations that are easier to control, while nonpoint pollution comes from wide areas like lawns and farms and is harder to control since the source is unknown. Over time, laws like the Clean Water Act have helped regulate pollution and protect water resources, though nonpoint pollution remains a challenge. The document provides tips on how individuals can help reduce water pollution through their daily habits and yard practices.
Water pollution throughout the world is affecting food chains and food webs. Water such as lakes, rivers, streams, creeks, and oceans become polluted in many different ways. One main way is the dumping of trash, or littering. Many creeks, rivers, and even oceans have been polluted by manmade items such as trash (EPA, 2011). When fresh water such as rivers and creeks become polluted, it hurts the surrounding wildlife.

It is no secret that a majority of the world’s population consumes unclean water. But how does water get polluted? What happens to people or other living creatures when they consume contaminated water? The power point presentation that follows will allow the teacher to show his or her students the different ways water can get polluted, how much man is responsible for the extent of water pollution, and what the impact of this pollution is on all living things, especially man. The teacher can also use this presentation to generate a discussion in class on possible solutions to this problem. Is it possible to treat contaminated water in some way to make it consumable? Are there ways in which we can prevent or avoid at least certain kinds of water pollution?
This PPT contains definition, types, signs, source and effects of water pollution. Prevention of water pollution and some data of water pollution of world. It contains pictures so high school grade student can also go through this PPT. Although It is for Bachelor's level.

During the mid to late 1800s, there were many technological innovations that resulted in increased industry. Easy production of steel led to the development of skyscrapers and more industrial buildings. The increase of industrial machinery changed the labor force from skilled to unskilled. Due to mass production, the number of products increased, while the cost of products decreased. This helped spur competition.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. 2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
