What is an A/B test?
An A/B test is performed when you have
two pieces of content that you want to
measure and you compare them to each
other. Once performed, it can help you
figure out what piece of content
resonates best with your customers.
Why are A/B tests important?
- Allows you to focus resources on
what's important
- Helps you figure out what content is
successful
- Gain insights on what your audience
enjoys
- Allows you to make data-backed
decisions for your business and
marketing efforts
Unsubscribers
In email, Including a unsubscribe button
is required by the law. This is important
because there has to be a obvious and
easy to navigate “Unsubscribe” button.
This allows people to easily opt out.
It's a good idea to review your email
marketing efforts by assuring your emails
are not being labeled as spam and that
they abide by all laws.
Final Recommendations
Some recommendations I would
implement for next time:
1. I can take a small portion of my email
list and split it in half in order to
perform A/B testing on various visuals
or changing the copy of the email
2. I could also alter the colors by adding
more or removing some and keeping
a simple design. Decision would be
made depending on results of A/B
testing
3. I could implement gifs and interactive
graphics.
